- On February 22nd, 2023, an officer on patrol noticed a lady approaching different vehicles with a cup in her hand. He approached her and asked if she needed help with something. She mentioned having been in a fight with her boyfriend, who drove away with her purse in the car. As soon as the officer ran the lady’s name through his records, he found out that she had a warrant out for her arrest. Shortly after, the officer found out that the woman had a warrant issued in her name. The woman began behaving in an agitated manner once the officers started searching her. She was soon transported to jail for further processing, but she was very uncooperative. The officers were able to get her out of the car, but soon she began kicking them. She continued to make the situation even more difficult for the officers. She wasn't showing any signs of stopping her resistance. Later, she began refusing to go to the hospital for a medical check-up. The woman had previous warrants and was charged with resisting arrest.

I've watching a lot of these kinds of videos and I now have a new respect for what our officers go thru.
I would rarely run someone's plate to avoid that crap. Unfortunately once they run a plate it's too late. The officer can't ignore a warrant, stolen car, etc. Needless to say I wouldn't be an LEO for long. Supervisors would find it suspicious that I rarely make simple drug arrests and arrests for randomly running someone's plate. A highway patrol officer stopped me while I was on foot. His excuse to ask for ID was "there's an illegal immigrant in the area matching your description". It was a majority white suburb and I am white. I couldn't believe he made that up. My record was clean so I had nothing to worry about. I can totally see the cops using similar practices all day in higher crime areas, and arresting people with non-violent warrants or simple drug possession.

Of course yes he could be lying. But he may not have been. Ive seen plenty of videos where this same scenario happens and you see the person they finally catch and they were looking for looked similar to other innocent people they stopped and questioned. Their only description they have might be "a guy 5'10 wearing a white shirt and jeans". Guess what, some others in the area might match that. Besides they cant randomly search you for drugs even if they say you match a description. Thats only stuff from movies.

This is the main reason why police response times are so long. Allowing the suspect to dictate how the arrest process goes.
It wouldn't matter to me if she wants to stay in the car. Just close the door and come back once every few hours to see if she's ready to get out of the car yet. It's only dragging out her own stay at the police station. If she wants to stay in there a few days before they start the paperwork, fine.

The cops in the video are being professional. No need for excessive force unless needed. The objective for the cops isn't "get criminal into holding cell as quickly as possible", it's to make it as safe and comfortable. Be aware that the cops aren't the court. Normally they can't just throw you to the ground and manhandle you into the cell. Also forgot to mention that it could be a mental heath thing, considering that cops are unnecessarily called to those type of things. //Edit. After watching the whole video it's clear that this should not be a police matter but a mental health matter. She should be voluntary committed for a week and get the correct medication.
Lol it is in my county/state. They don’t repeat themselves and if you wanna resist and be a pain in the arse you’ll end up with broken bones and even if you do comply you usually end up hurt and it’s swept under the rug. It would be nice if there was a balance because the cops here are horrendous and corrupt but these ones are being to nice. Weird world.
@@zhaviyah84 That should not be the normal for cops. They are there to minimize hurt. Even if a suspect are aggressive they should be at least capable to make the situation calmer. It's crazy that the cops are considering time instead of the people. Even if it takes hours they should try to make it as painless as possible. They are not judges and have no right to enforce judgment without trail.

The female officer was outstanding. They all were, really. I truly believe they recognized a mental health issue and handheld it accordingly. You could tell they were intentionally talking quieter, softer. Looks like a great team of officers! 👏

Absolutely. Definitely the best team of officers I’ve seen. They recognized a mental health issue and went above and beyond to make the situation the least traumatic on a person who’s probably been through a lot.

The compassion and empathy displayed here by every officer involved was stellar and outstanding, especially when you consider the constant abuse heaped on them by this young lady. Clearly this is a mental health issue. I hope she got the treatment she needs.

@@cdwilliams8066I had to go back and watch that again because I didn't understand the Quick Change either but it turns out there was 2 cuts in the recording for a total of 11 minutes so I imagine they ran her name in the meantime and found the warrant.

I could NEVER be an officer. Dealing with this kind of individual would drive me crazy. I have to say, these officers showed a great deal of patience toward this woman despite her ignorant behavior. No normal person would behave like that.

All of these officers were outstanding in their display of compassion and patience. Something is definitely off with this young lady and all of the officers seemed to intuitively understand this. Well done to all of these officers!

Something is off.... yeah right... is that the new way of saying that someone is strung out on drugs? Is she "experiencing a mental health episode"? That's yet another claim I hear all the time when someone is drugged to the gills and acting like a fool. I had to bring myu mother to the emergency room on a Friday night a couple years ago, and we saw all manner of "mental health episodes". The cops kept bringing them in, each more zonked than the last.

Nobody stole her purse She's homeless on the streets and she just wanted an excuse for what she was doing. These people that have been living on the streets forever they know how to play this game! And nine times out of 10 their mental stability is out the door long gone!

One thing for sure, if I ever feel lonely and no body to talk to. I am going to resist arrest. My new “professional family” will attend to what I say and what I do. Although what they attend may not be exactly what I want. I will take what I can get. The woman understands and is worth it in her opinion.
