Great to see you in action, Sonny!
Had a Slav friend train with me in the Army for two years. Definitely an amazing fighting style he taught me.
Spetsnaz baby!
Awesome, love the work. Thanks.
Beautiful movement. Be like water. Go with the flow! Really enjoying watching these videos. Hes like gumbi 😆
Excelente instructor, buen vídeo.
Gorgeous work!
One word - спецназ.
Good video, please put up some more- I can't get to one of Sonny's seminars at the moment.
Awesome ... Still no Systema class anywhere near Leeds UK though :-(
This school works really good when situation is predictable - fighter knows when and where, and what kind of unch, kick, grab will go... Put gloves on and let to regular MMA, karate, boxing etc. fighter hit, punch, grab where and how he/she wants and this Systema fighter will be in very confusing position.
sandris sandris What do you think is predictable here? There were no attacks defined ahead. I have no problem with those "regular" people coming to try, as long as we agree I can do to them what they are trying to do to me.
Sistema Srbija
What is predictable is described above. Despite of this I can repeat more and in chunks - attacker telegraphs what he/she is going to do by the movements of particular parts of body, for example, before the punch the intention of yours is telegraphed whether by the movement of shoulder or by the movement of hips etc. (depends on the experience and martial schools tought or not tought at all earlier). There are many techniques that are suggested "in accordance to physics" to be applyed that are to difficult in order for responding to extremely short and quick, snap etc. attacks. If to look at this "school" from the point of view of theoretical physics, I agree with no hesitation at all to these ideas, points, thoughts they are correctly. But from the point of practical usage tehre are so many discrepancies, questions etc. So, from the expereince of mine ... Actually all my point of bview is described earlier, moreover I wish good luck in studies of this "school" because there things, matters that are well aplicable and work in real situation of close quater combat. Good luck!
sandris sandris when I was doing ninjutsu, my teacher used to smile and open his eyes wide at me while we were doing some punch/defense drills, I never knew why. then one day I realised he was simply drawing my attention to his face, he made me go for the face. That's the same principle Sonny is showing here - systema guy knows where you gonna hit, because he makes you to hit there.
sandris sandris I am no martial arts expert but Systema is a form of "MMA" - it is do anything to win. From what I read and seen - the real training is to allow you the mental ability to attack or defend on the fly by memorizing what the human body can and can't do and where the weak points are. Systema is a true martial art in that it is the basis for hand to hand combat in the Russian army.
MarvelDcImage Actually Russia army soldiers are not trained like this is told to world in Systema seminars. Not at all. The Russian paratroopers uses absolutely different CQC system as it is in special forces or Russia marines, infantry (very well trained troops in marching and yard sweeping) etc. In many of garrisons of Russia army they do not train their soldiers in CQC in accordance to Systema or something like this. I have took part in seminars and trainings of Kadochnikov system. I was very pasionately devoted to those trainings. My experience is - it doesn't work especially when somebody resists. So I returned back to Kyokushinkai and the CQC system trained for Police. So, if sombody resists seriously all those motiones are useless or turn to be robust. In the end everybody returns to the their roots - former boxer uses boxing aproach, kickboxer turns to fighting methods of kickboxing, judoka ... etc. In accordance to very old Chinese says - even suing needle is possible to make of wooden stick if to try very hard. So, I presume You have found your way, Your martial art. Excellent to You! Not all the shirts fit to each and every man. So this is with martial arts. For instance, I remember my first fighting competions in accordance to rules that were not taken in account in Kyokushinkai trainings. The result was as it was. Some things were chainged in trainings and things went on, even on the street. But as it is said - evcerybody has got right to make mistake. So, if I am wrong - good for you. Good luck guys!
Please give seminars in NLD !
sandris sandris, i agree. A real fight goes nothing like whats being demonstrated in the video.
Have you ever been at any of the MMA seminars? Like ever? This is exactly the speed and intensity people learn on those as well.
Only YT experts can compare intensity of pro MMA fights with teaching/learning intensity.
Or people living in NATO countries knowing what Special forces train in Russia. Yeah right :-)
@@competent-ninja but you have no idea the individual experience of each YT commenter
...а брзо ће и тај април и нови семинар са Сонијем....
Odlično!
Lol @ people questioning Sonny. The dude has been in situations that none of you have been in. If you think his shit sucks, go to Texas and tell him politely. Solve your arguments about Systema there, not here.
after seeing the last bit did anyone else go pfft easy sit on the floor and ge pissed that they couldn't do it
Takes a great deal of time, practice and more practice to be able to do what Sonny Puzikas did. 😂🤣😎👍👍👍👍 that he can make things look easy and effortless! Even though when you're a beginner it takes a lot of time, consistency and disipline to attain the level of fitness Sonny Puzikas has!!
AWESOME!!
He's former spetsnaz
You dont want to get in a knife fight or a fist fight with a spetznaz operator.
Go ahead and try to spar with him. You'll be on the floor a lot more than you think.
Same with frank
That gun escape was pretty cool, but I allways wondered - if the gun was fired so close to your head, wouldn't you still loose your vision, hearing and be completely disoriented, like from a flasbang? And this was closed barrel gun, what about a revolver?
Better than bullet in the head. If you get to this situation you are just trying to survive. Deal with the initial threat first then work from there.
A flash bang is 2.4 million candle power and around 174.5 decibels......WAY louder and brighter than any bullet. You'd be fine.
I’m not sure how effective this would actually be seems like fake mixed martial arts you would never have time to do any of this, you would revert back to mainly primal instincts, fists, grappling etc
Nothing works in a real fight....muaaaahhhhhh
The part where he dodges the pistol shot at 2:40...If that's not scripted the guy is a serious expert.
Simple body mechanics.
Your reactive time will always be slower than someone who actively initiates movement.
I’d say it’s scripted, it’s not a controlled environment like that in real life.
Birds of a Feather...
And *I* am a retired MMA figher, for the record.
Congratulations
Het Zwanen ballet, LOL !
Definitely not the right guy to mess with
I just don't see sistema against a professional fighter
Go be professional fighter, nobody is holding your hands. If you do not see value in this school of fighting go be what you like.
@@competent-ninja glad you can agree with him, that you don’t have to hold anyone’s hand
Too many assumptions for my liking. I LOVE Sonny...... LOVE him....but this shit just won't work.
R Stephens You learned all that, and then tested it? Or you tested him? Or it is just an assumption?
Amazing how the most practical and least practical athletics both descend from Russia. What a contradiction
Learn wrestling instead
What you said is stupid on so many levels that one wouldn’t know where to begin.
@@competent-ninja SAMBO is more practical than Sytema
That is what I said
Good old times :)
