You're tutorials are awesome dude, also you have great charisma and energy that translates across to your tutorials making them capturing! Learning so much and having fun, subscribed and a new fan :)
This is what teaching for the love of the art, with humility and fun looks like. Follow this dude if you want to actually learn to DJ in a way you feel like he's a personal tutor. Empathy and confidence equal inspiration, fearless. this one.
Amazing video! You put things in key so quick and I'm not sure how you do that? I was hoping for a tutorial on which elements need to be in key and how to get those elements into key. You seem to just use spectrum and know what key its in and how to fix it.
It is a great tribal tech loop..I think the groove and sub bass is the driving force of the track and no need to layer a synth melody over it. The one shots is a good idea for that type of track and being creative with the arrangement...
the end of the video makes it all worth it. great job man :D P.S. metallic drums popz. I think that's what they use in Jamaican style music a lot. or Caribbean stuff. bob marley style :D :D :D (the drums you spoke about at the end of the video) and the groove is sick. good job again
Hey Zen, Love your channel dude! I saw last week you were asking for ideas. I see a lot of hardware in your studio :) would you consider doing sound design / production work integrating hardware into your DAW workflow tutorials at some point? Thanks for all the great info and ideas.
OH MEN !!! Exactly what I was looking for !!!! In Panama we say !!! QUE DEMENCIAAAAAAA !!! QUE DESORDEN !!!! ( it translates as: HOW FREAKING COOL !!!!! Keep it up bro !! you are a great Producer !!! and a great instructor !!!
Sounds good. Last synth melody was awesome, not sure why you have changed the preset of this last synth you've added. The first preset you have used on the last synth was great.
Haha you can't help yourself from adding some "EDM" synth! Great tutorial Zen, great ideas for percussion grooves, right what i wanted. Thank you so much!
beep beep i have a question : Can you maybe explain in a video how you import a hardware synth into your daw and then use it to create further melodies without destroying the synth. How you do it properly ? thanks
Awesome tutorial bro! I think the instrument you where looking for is a Timbal, funny enough the cowbell pitched down sounds like someone hitting the shit out of the low Paila of the set 😅
Hey Zen! I'm in love with some of those Evolution of Sound percs you were sampling - is that a pack we can buy in your website? I can only find presents for sale...
At 11:53 how did u do solo headphone that frequency? Nice groove prob should look at some toolroom tracks like wheats rebel and siege, even the new ep from latmun funky people
hey popz, def gotta fix the sound selection, your theory is there but i'm not getting the tribal vibe. sounds too industrial with the perc sounds (on the hats) . doesn't sound tribal to me IMO if I were to be making this kind of music. :D other than that. youre theory for the most part is on point. just fix your sounds and you got this popz :D :D :D good stuff as always man. Thank you :D :D :D
Yo zen! I have realized making these that sometimes the rhythm of the drums (bongos or Tambora) and vocal makes it difficult to make a groovy bass without make them all fight. Why did you choose G and G# for the bass? Like I besides being the 2nd and 3rd, I didn't understand it
Andres Urquia The 2nd and 3rd notes just go with the groove. There really is no rule when it comes to the sub but to have it in root key with a dominant sound in your track. Some tribal producers make the sub talk with the kick while others go for the drums as Zen did here. It really comes down to how busy are your drums in your loop. Tribal Tech house does test you on how good you are in sound choice so be careful when you select your drums as they can become a pain when it comes down to making your sub swing.
Sounds good cuz cheers
Man your channel is gold to me, im not kidding. Amazing job, thank you

Yo zen! I have realized making these that sometimes the rhythm of the drums (bongos or Tambora) and vocal makes it difficult to make a groovy bass without make them all fight.
Why did you choose G and G# for the bass? Like I besides being the 2nd and 3rd, I didn't understand it
Just felt right and easy! I feel if your gonna have a busy drum section, the bass should be more composed and relaxed!
A lot of producers of this genre start with the bassline alot of the time so that’s worth knowing
Shaun Ineson I’m latin, I went straight to the drums 😂
Love from #Xenokrypt 🍻🍻🍻
love it,except the vocal sample
