Ethan, no word of a lie. I fucking love you. For about 15 years+ I've just struggled to get my head around DAW's and music making, and finally after watching your content it's starting to click. Thank you so much man!
Wow the production value on these videos is incredible! I'd go as far as saying this is one of the channels with the most well produced videos in the production niche. Well done Ethan, love learning from you!
This is one of the best tutorials I have ever found on making music. You go into detail on the software and explain what you did. Thank you so much!!❤❤
I've seen a lot of "How to produce..." - Videos but honestly this one helped me quite a lot. Especially thanks for all the Shortcuts on the Keyboard. Really good Video! :D
Damn this is probably the best music production tutorial I have seen so far! At the same time you are explaining some complete beginner stuff and some more advanced stuff. I personally belong towards the latter and am here to learn about house production.
thanks for this. been paying for courses recently to continue grasping ableton & your teaching style is far better than anything i’ve payed for so far. well planned out, easily explained & thorough with the shortcuts. will tune into everything else you’ve got to offer.
It always blows me away with how well you breakdown and explain what you're doing in detail, taking the dive into becoming a music producer now seems less daunting than before - will be frequently revisiting this vid for tips and tricks along the way, thanks for an excellent start!
Do you guys even realize how helpful 23:20-23:27 is? This man just demonstrated a visual example of how to do something I’ve been wondering how to do for so long
You're just crazy, humor, everything is clear and to the point. Your energy makes me smile and look attentively at the same time. I like and subscribe :) And greetings from Siberia
Ethan i cant thank you enough! This video in specific and some of your other content has really sparked that creative fire in me again. I stopped making music about 6 years ago due to life and our first child but i don't know what it was about your video that just gave me that itch i needed to scratch again. Thank you my friend and ill be joining your paid program soon.
Ethan, no joke i just started producing and i was watching tutorial after tutorial and i didnt get nothing i was going to give up until i saw you and when i saw this video i was in toootall shock! I understood everysingle WORD i was amazed i made my first track thanks to you!! thank u so much man keep this up and i saw ur story and wow ur really inspiring!!!! lots of hugs from Amsterdam xoxo
Thanks god man! :) You are the first guy on youtube for turtorial that I can understund everything what are you talking about, and also not trying to be funny or something, very very good classes man ! Respect !
wow, your videos are seriously soooo informative and insanely helpful for a noob like me lol! I have a ton of music theory knowledge and I write and sing, but producing has always been confusing to me - but in one day from watching your tutorials, I have learned ableton really well and I think I'll have a sharable tune in NO time!!
Very well explained and i really appreciate how you wrote the different "instruments" rather than just saying it not a lot of RUclipsrs do that. got my sub.
Thanks for this video. I was stuck on a track and this gave me a method to bring it together and expand what I had created into a full song (I started with the 'drop' and then lost momentum). Love your vids mate 👍
Appreciate the tutorials! I’m finding the difference in workflow a struggle at the moment as I’m used to logic so thank you for explaining things and why each step! 👍🏻
I never really understood side chain compression, I started to figure it out and how it'd would be used in another video but this one really made it click for me with how simple you set it up and how I audibly heard the effect singled out on the piano.. It seems so simple now. And now I understand why people use LFO tool rather than the compressor.
Literally the best tutorial we have watched..We’re new to edm and producing tech house and you broke everything down. You didn’t move too fast and didn’t skip over the small things. Really appreciate you! We will be coming back to this video frequently as we are new producers. You got our sub!
A good thing about your videos is your good attitude. You seem to have fun and laugh and not take yourself too seriously. I, on the other hand, am often tense, afraid of doing things the "wrong" way, which of course reflects back on my music. We should all learn to trust the process.
Yea dont get caught in the how, if it sounds good it is good no matter how the result was achieved. I think this applies especially to the more technical parts of producing such as mixing. No right or wrong way to use effects such as compressors or EQ if they make it sound better. Stop looking at numbers and trust your ears!
DUDE🤯 I got 10 minutes left to watch and I learned more about Ableton in this one tutorial than all the other combined LOL. I’m pretty experienced when It comes to using Ableton and Im very fast at getting shit done but damn bro I still learned a lot more😮💨✨
Wow thanks for making music fun and easy again… I have been to classes at dubspot, Berklee, and purchased various other courses… you make this fun like it should be instead of technical and boring, much appreciated bro!
Your videos are amazeing bud, I'm currently doing a course on ableton and it's so difficult for me, you do a real good job with clarity, got a sub from me 👍
You getting fired up about the drop on song that was probably just meant for tutorial is what music is all about man. I’m just getting started and I this page is amazing

you on crack? Just practice daily and you will "get your head around it".
