@@sagargkofficial6548 there is absolutely zero possibility of it happening any time soon. The only possible way it could happen would be in 5 billion years when sun starts to become a red giant. The sun has a miniscule chance of pushing Earth closer to Mars orbit. In any event we won't have to worry about that by then. Earth's crust will have cooled so much in 2 billion years that all plate tectonics will have ceased. Dear MelodySheep, Thank you for inspiring me as a young person with astronomy - thanks to you, I've achieved high academic goals related to physics and astronomy, and will soon be doing a test this year that'll give me a Scholarship in Earth and Space. I've made videos inspired by your works, and have been a figure in my community for science education. I've even gotten into the most regarded Science Form for Youth in my country, and in a Science Camp at my dream university - your incredibly serene shots inspired me to take Media as a subject at my school, which led me to getting the best music video award in my class, as well as sharing videos across my school. Even in the past I build model rockets which I'm continuing as of now, which funnily gave me the title of 'Rocket man' in my town, which has gotten me into the news! I cannot thank you enough for giving me a spark of imagination, inspiration, and motivation that today has affected me in such a positive light. Continue what you're doing, astronomy is something beyond just beautiful, but scientifically abstract and interconnected to who we are today. Thank you for your hard work, in making such highly cinematic videos, that communicate who we truly are.

In my opinion, the synestia theory is a very viable one: It still explains all of the details of the moon and Earth we see today. As rocks and rock vapor collide into the moon and Earth, the heat of the explosions would be enough to temporarily turn center rocks into liquid (then back to solids), but as more and more rocks pile atop each other, these transformations into liquids became more and more permanent, until there was an outer core. The extreme pressure would force the liquid at the center to press back into a solid, just like the Earth. This also explains the similar materials of each body and the presence of water on the moon. After the collision, it sprayed out massive amounts of rocks, magma, gases, ... and water. Some of that water could've condensed on the moon's surface (and later froze), again demonstrating similarities in material composition. Really nice video. :D
I love how this ends with the renewed passion to go back to the moon. This documentary makes it feel like going back shouldn't just be about science or one-upping another nation, but almost as a way to reach out to our faithful companion and say, "Thank you for all you have done for us."
The moon is like a gateway drug to learning about the universe. Enjoy my new tribute to it - any questions for me?

🌚 the man on the moon is always watching you or so I was told as a child. This is so much better, 🌍...
@WhyNot
Why not, WhyNot, lol. Like your handle.
My Grandfather once told me when you have a problem that seems mighty big then talk with the man on the moon. When you wake up in the morning and if the sun is out you tell me. If it is raining you write it in a letter and give it to Nana. If it is snowing you tell your mother. If it is cloudy you tell Pop.
I was 6 when he said this to me. It has helped me all these years when my problem seemed to big for me. The man on the moon never steered me wrong to date. Though the people have changed due to deaths in the family, you need someone to talk with when your troubles weigh you down.
He was a wise man my Grandfather in knowing that it is hard for people to open up so he put it on the shoulders of the man on the moon. This way I never had to guess who I should go to.
Wishing you a fantastic weekend and thank you for asking...

What an amazing and breathtaking video! Have a request - could you do a Part 2, and show what happened after the Moon formed? In other words, what would it look like 4 billion years ago when Earth's rotation was only 6 hours long, and the Moon was ten times closer to the Earth? Think about how high those lunar tides on Earth would be!!
Oh that would be amazing to see! Great suggestion!
I've been postponing watching this because I wanted to wait "until I had the undivided attention to give it the respect it undoubtedly will deserve". Now I wish I'd watched it sooner. My jaw was literally HANGING OPEN.

Everything was awesome, but the best part: 7:03

I love how this ends with the renewed passion to go back to the moon. This documentary makes it feel like going back shouldn't just be about science or one-upping another nation, but almost as a way to reach out to our faithful companion and say, "Thank you for all you have done for us."
Can we all just appreciate the stunning music that's used in this stunning video with stunning quality?
