I don't know whether to feel sad or relieved. I could have worked on this forever. but 13+ months is enough... it's yours now. enjoy the epic conclusion to the trilogy. thanks all for watching and supporting this series over the past 3 years, and to all my awesome collaborators on this installment (see credits). I have fallen in love with audiovisual world-building and there is much more of it to come. Any questions for me??

I've been considering it. I have a fictional universe where I have written a bunch of one-off short stories about extrasolar star systems. I also have two large scale novel-like stories (both unfinished) that take place in the same universe. Wouldn't take much to compile all the short stories into a single compendium of stories and publish it. I would have to actually proof read them, though. Most of the short stories haven't been touched since they were originally written.

This series has been exactly the kind of science program I've always been interested in. Finding alien life is probably the scientific endeavor that interests me the most. Too often , shows on the Discovery channel repeat the same tired concepts, exposing their limitations of creativity. Maybe they do that for an uneducated audience. You guys are so out of the box, it really gets the viewer to expand one's own ideas about whats possible. The visuals, the presentation, even some of the nods to sci-fi are just brilliant. You've knocked it out of the park. Thank you.

30 min into the film I don't agree with most of what is being said: if extremely intelligent life out there exists and is "in charge of it's sun and/or even its galaxy" they would be smart enough to not have our waste problem. The visuals look cool but they don't depict anything new, what they show is worlds smiliar as ours except Star Wars look alike or extincted jurassic era.
I have not yet seen an actual idea of the intelligent ... it's all based on the idea that those folks, " the intelligent aliens "have evolved they way we have using stones and steel hence wates creators.
I'd like to think that if there was some freaky alien outhere it would be the kind that would jump on a star and ride it from galaxy to galaxy while we silly people look up at it and think "ooh look it's a comet" and he be like " amm yeah just on my way to see my gf"

Man even the SUBTITLES are made with perfection! Just go to all the timestapes and turn on subtitles, and keep in mind the youtube subtitle system is (from what I've heard) really clunky, hard to navigate, and use:
0:42 - The use of different characters to make the text look bold. (this is used all throughout the video)
3:08 - the number sliding to the right as it gets bigger.
4:35 - Another really good use of different characters, superscript for the subtitle, and bold for to main title.
8:46 - the chapter number slowly appearing from the center and becoming bold, with the title coming in underneath.
10:27 - Another good use of characters making the text look animated.
10:35 - A text animation flashing through the text of the neutrino communication document!
10:42 - (this one is really cool) An animation that goes through morse code, which, might I add, even has the CORRECT CORISPONDING LETTER depending on how complete the morse code is, for example, when -. . . was on screen it was NEE, then another dot was added (-. . ..) so it became NEI, then a dash was added so it became NEU, it's actually a completely accurate morse code animation made completly within the youtube subtitle system. That is INCREDIBLE!
16:13 - Changing from bold to normal characters to create a pulsing effect. (just like the star they are describing)
17:40 17:49 - Changing from bold to normal characters to create a pulsing effect in beat with the music.
30:04 - The ellipsis trailing off as the ship accelerates.
32:26 - A blinking animation acting like a fade for the text.
34:28 - Text glitches out as it disapears.
35:32 - the text going from bold, to bold italic, then blank, in a repeating pattern that speeds up to the beat of the music.
37:34 - Text blinking as it appears.
40:52 - a countdown to the end credits (how do you even begin to make that look so smooth?)
40:58 - text sliding in. (it even has an insertion point that blinks to make it look like it's being typed!)
41:04 - ALL of the end credits remade with subtitles.
    42:08 - references.
42:34 - thanks for activated captions.
The pure amount of effort put in to these small details most people won't even notice is insane!

We (humans) often dream of coming into contact with another species more advanced that will guide us and give us all the answers to our problems, but rarely do we stop to consider that we might be one of the first species to be able to reach out beyond our own planet (at least in our galactic neighborhood) and that that role of vanguards may actually be reserved for us. we may eventually encounter other species, they may be less advanced and we may be the ones who do the guiding instead. so instead of looking up and hoping for the answers to our problems to drop from the sky, perhaps we should look towards each other and find the answers for ourselves.

We can never b 100% certain. Sure, we might not find more advanced life than us, but they might still b out there. I’m not saying that ur point is invalidated, far from it. What I am saying is that we should look 4 answers on our own, but still hope 2 find a race that can guide us as well. B skeptical enough 2 look 4 the answers 2 our questions, but hopeful enough 2 look 4 ppl who can help us on our journey. B4 all of that tho, we must first learn 2 love and trust ourselves and others, 2 put others above ourselves, and 2 think 4 the benefit of the group, just as animals do in the wild. For if we attempt 2 make contact b4 then, we will lock them up, and treat them as white Americans did 2 African Americans b4 MLK. This will ultimately guarantee our demise, even if they r primitive by our standards. And time has proven ad infinum that peace is miles more effective than war, and that alliances r better than rivalries. So I ask only 4 the readers of this comment 2 start helping others, and 2 b selfishly selfless, for only when we help others will we secure the long term survival of the human race, and only when that goal is achieved may we branch out 2 find others like us out there

I have a penchant for exploring and discovering the unknown, that's why I plan to major in Science in university.
