Kinda weird how far we've come when we consider that this channel used to make music parodies like the WTF song and now is releasing amazing space documentaries like this one.
This is by far one of the most compelling works of art describing the beauty of sound in space. I've never seen anything like it! that ending really puts things into perspective 👏
I'll never be able to grasp the fact how we're all just floating on a giant rock in the middle of space and how beautiful it is but humans are just a wreck of a species. However, shoutout to those who produced this insanely epic video, got me all teary eyed.
"...some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the deadly light into the peace and safety of a new dark age." - HP Lovecraft
The fact that this wreck of a species has been able to realize the fact that it is floating on a giant rock throughout space and that this rock is not the only rock out there is quite a feat in my opinion.
Narrator: Listen to these unique sounds on these planets. Me trying to listen to sounds that are happening on other planets. *Music intensifies* Music: you can't have that! Now listen to me.
I'd like to imagine that one day when technology is so advanced that people can easily travel between the planets that there will be musicians purposefully making music on a certain planet for a certain sound. It's nice to think that maybe one day "mars" and "jupiter" will be genres of music.
That Martian piano sequence really made me tear up, especially since I can pretty easily conceive of a future where humans bring their music to another planet for the and how absolutely incredible of an experience it would be
Can we just appreciate how they are providing us great information without putting any ads in the video... We can't get this type of video and visual even after paying money. ❤🙏
The Video, narration, cinematography was absolutely amazing and mind blowing BUT as the video is titled 'The sounds of space' many of us didn't click to hear music/piano instead of actual sounds. During the whole video and narration part the music was amazing and on point with its vibe but at the part of listening, if the actual sound would have had played alone without bgm it would have been even more enjoyable and connectable with the video for us because that's what the whole point of this video is.
12:52 this whole scene of an astronaut falling was so terrifying i can't even explain, i get these dreams very frequently where i am free falling from a cliff or falling endlessly it's my worst nightmare, and this scene made me feel like horror movies are nothing.
I think it's awesome. Actually, I might try that free fall through Jupiter. It'll be iconic watching the beautiful clouds, the storms and then just get out on the southern hemisphere. Actually, I would pay for this, bring cameras all over me and make a live session here on YT. Why not?
I used to have lucid dreams all the time when I was a teenager. I flew to space in one of my dreams, and started to fall. I didn't wake up and when I hit the ground I bounced back up into space. By far the coolest dream I've ever had

I just wanted to comment that this video led to a lot of opportunities in my life and I can't thank you all enough for it. It inspired me to start my own space project which lead to me seeking out professors and talking to my local university...this made so many connections for me as I researched my project which eventually turned into a light spectrum project and is now multiple months later an art project about the cassini mission. I'd like to imagine that one day when technology is so advanced that people can easily travel between the planets that there will be musicians purposefully making music on a certain planet for a certain sound. It's nice to think that maybe one day "mars" and "jupiter" will be genres of music.
Jupiter is a gas giant, you couldn't live on it. Maybe in a space station orbiting it.
