- SCP 3008 is a Euclid Class anomaly also known as The Infinite Ikea.
SCP-3008 is a large retail unit previously owned by and branded as IKEA, a popular furniture retail chain. A person entering SCP3008 through the main entrance and then passing out of sight of the doors will find themselves translocated to SCP-3008-1.
SCP 3008 1 is a space resembling the inside of an IKEA furniture store, extending far beyond the limits of what could physically be contained within the dimensions of the retail unit.

I'm a security guard and let me tell you being in a big store or building completely alone at night is allways putting me on high alert. Its just so weird seeing these places completely empty and without any sound besides the wind and cracking from the building.
I am always (see i fixed it) scared that someone is there with me and just watching me waiting for the perfect time to strike.

I would love to see what would happen if an ikea employee got stuck in the infinite ikea, would the monsters just not care since you’re allowed to be past closed hours or would they treat you the same?

This is legit one of the best SCP’s ever. Such a creepy story. It’s almost like a walking dead king feel. Unlike other SCPs where you’re just going to die, this has more of a survival feel where there’s a chance.

I would way rather have to band together with other humans or even be on my own and try to hide from those "employees" than suffer certain death against 096 or any of those other totally lethal SCPs. Those "workers" are FEATHER WEIGHTS compared to some of the SCP monsters.
So, obviously, the staff know the way out. After all, they removed 682 from the location so they would have to know...Has anyone every just told them they were lost and needed help or have they always just run away/try to kill them?

My mom once experienced a phenomenon like the Infinite IKEA, but she was in a 99 cent store. She was looking around and couldn't find her way out for an hour and people had strange expressions on them when she saw them. Thankfully, I found her and brought her out.

Two theories I have about this scp. 1, the staff turn some of the people they capture into the meatballs that keep showing up. Second, since it's pretty much confirmed that multiple realities converge on this SCP, there is no guarantee that finding an exit will lead you home.

One thing I've always wondered is about the assortment of items there is. Like, if IKEA as a brand releases new stuff or whatever, does it appear in the infinite IKEA after a 24 hour period or something? If that were the case, couldn't the foundation "coax" the USA branch of IKEA to start selling firearms & ammo & other extra useful goodies for the people trapped inside?
Would seem like a worthwhile attempt since it makes traveling around more of an option if you don't have to be afraid of hand to hand combat.
SCP Foundation don't do such acts their mission is to protect others from going in rather than saving those who are already trapped.

I have posted on other threads that it should later be discovered that the infinite Ikea is actually one of the backrooms levels and the "staff" are a form of FACELING.
there are only three ways to get out of SCP-3008.
1. find the exit.
2. die.
3. no clip out of reality.
No3 would get you in the back rooms.

This NEEDS to have a sequel to see how the story ends.
It is easier to get sex from a nun than it is to get a sequel to an SCP story that ends in a cliffhanger. Given the choice between the 2 I want the SCP sequel.
You dont need to find an exit you just need to find a wall. It says in its description that making a hole In the wall WILL lead you back out but given that they were unable to measure its area even with lasers because they couldn't ci d a terminal point maybe a wall is as hard to find as the exit. If not harder
@Blobber that's what I was thinking but more likely a fire as since they've gotta have those plus the limitless hand garden tools. Itd be slow but definitely doable. You wouldnt even have to hide it just dont dig at night. Knowing this one tho as soon as you crack the concrete, turn around and the wall wont be there anymore lol

I want other "infinite" versions of stores. Imagine an infinite COSTCO where due to the laws of physics being slightly different in whatever parallel dimension or universe it is in the food never spoils so you have pretty much infinite supplies of food and equipment. Or imagine an infinite Wallmart or Target.
What if when the 'staff' are saying "You need to exit the building." They mean like their souls. Could be an explanation to why they kill them instead of say, dragging them out somehow.

Good idea, leave in the middle of the night (the only time it's dangerous) and don't tell all those kind people about the potential for escape. After all, it's not like more than one person can use the exit.

Love the video, the fact that's its an original one that the channel made (basically a video tale) is very welcoming and here's hoping that you make similar tales for other Scps in the future! Not gonna lie, living inside the infinite Ikea sounds thrilling.
Perhaps if it was a live-or-die secured Attraction. Or enter with a huge number of people in order to somehow overwhelm the employees, and form alliances with neighbor groups
The problem is, everytime you kill one, more keep appearing. It's a never-ending conga line of workers.
Imagine how fun it would be if the whole world was trapped in Ikea. Always chaotic, people running around, gangs forming.

The most terrifying part about this are not the monsters for me, but corpses. I have severe necrophobia, so knowing that there are corpses near me is terrifying.

Because it's not just one store, and it happens without pattern, there's no way of researching it either, since most people that go just have a normal visit

they have sent drones, even 682 for a termination attempt (he came out in pieces) but if the ikea is infinite and there are infinite realitys not to mention there could be another infinite ikea in another reality, that means there is an infinite amount of people trapped

@@Sitharos Do you like my idea of the infinite Ikea turning out to be ONE of the backroom levels? And for the "staff" to be a form of Backrooms "Faceling"? It would also be interesting to see other infinite stores like infinite Costco or Infinite Walmart etc. Maybe in infinite Costco you can survive by getting sample tastes of the food going from one food stand to the other and each time if you take one sample the workers is friendly and tells you about it, frowns if you take a 2nd sample and if you try to take a 3rd it will viciously attack for the kill. So you have to survive by going down a very long line getting no more than 2 samples from each, but the next "day" it renews and you can get samples again.
So the staff don't seem very smart. Maybe building platforms on the walls right above the restaurants would be a good idea? Using ladders and ropes that you could just pull up to said platforms when it's nighttime to prevent the staff from getting up there.
I love your take on one of the best SCPs ever. It's been great reacquainting myself with the ol' Infinite Ikea. Thanks for this one, it's one of my favorites.
What I like about the SCP Foundation is that most of the SCPs are actually based on real-life experiences, past traumas or even poking fun at fetishes.
Examples:
SCP-4910 = The author's memory of a traumatic dentist appointment.
SCP-3008 = The author got lost for hours in an IKEA Store
SCP-420 = The author's experience of a alcoholic hangover
SCP-686 = A pretty clear explanation of a certain fetish
SCP-4335 = Minecraft creepypasta

I think the roblox game, scp-3008 depicts the scp pretty well. Its almost impossible to find another player in the game, especially your friend due to how big the map is. The employees are also on point. The shorter ones were faster and they are just as vicious as the "actual" ones are.
SCP-3008 reminds me of the situation in Dying Light only instead of zombies it's the employees. It only gets worse at night and I love it!

in the scp 3008 roblox game my strategy was "have the high ground" after all it is the ultimate move and yes i did have to get down to get food and water but still as obi wan kinobi once said "its over anakin i have the high ground"

It honestly wouldn't be that hard to survive here. The infinite amount of food and water means it's easy. Truly you'd only have to build a fort or get up high near a food court. There is plenty of wood and charcoal would be easy to make. Therefore forges could be made to melt down bolts and screws to make all sorts of things. As long as you have the knowledge on how to make such things and maybe a few other survivors to help you
A "Macguyver" type person would be like a super hero in there. One problem I could see would be deteriorating MENTAL health as people go insane in the "forts" and the other is nutrition deficiencies. Snack food and other jarred stuff and those meat balls? What about FRESH FRUITS AND VEGETABLES and healthy whole grains? Over time nutrition deficiencies would become a problem. An "infinite whole foods" would be way healthier.

How did the SCP foundation find out about the infinite ikea? Whenever anyone enters they never leave, and no scouts could ever go in, check the place out, and figure out what the place is. They could know it’s an anomaly because of the fact nobody leaves but other than that?

Bro, once after watching this I went to IKEA a few days later to get a new table because ours broke (yes it was my fault) and I say an IKEA worker that was extremely tall, and I got so scared and kept on tugging on my mom's shirt asking when we would leave, I got so traumatized after that day.
