- SCP 999 is a Safe Class anomaly also known as The Tickle Monster.
SCP 035 is a Keter Class anomaly also known as The Possessive Mask.
SCP-999 appears to be a large, amorphous, gelatinous mass of translucent orange slime, weighing about 54 kg (120 lbs) with a consistency similar to that of peanut butter.
Simply touching SCP999 ’s surface causes an immediate mild euphoria, which intensifies the longer one is exposed to SCP-999, and lasts long after separation from the creature.
SCP-035 is an anomaly also known as The Possessive Mask. SCP035 appears to be a white porcelain comedy mask, although, at times, it will change to tragedy. In these events, all existing visual records, such as photographs, video footage, even illustrations, of SCP 035 automatically change to reflect its new appearance.

Causing strokes is not in 999's character. They do, however, sometimes take their tickle attacks too far--but always back off and make apologetic gurgles afterwards like a chastised puppy. As simple-minded as 999 is, it knows there are limits.

See, this is exactly what I've been saying! SCP-999 could potentially be used to rehabilitate SCPs. Especially since a recent video confirmed that over time the relief from trauma and PTSD that SCP-999 causes will become permanent.
To be fair, we TRIED that once. It ended in multiple casualties.

I mean, 049 isn't really that nice, all things considered. It's mostly just touching people, which immediately kills them and then raises them up as zombies. Sure, there's no evil intent, but I know if someone came up to me and tried to kill me, I wouldn't really give a shit about why they wanted to do it, I'd still be screaming. lol

It should also be noted that in the official wiki, absolutely 0 effect has been noted if 035 was placed on a non-humanoid entity. So this probably wouldn't play out like this, but 035 would probably be confused as 999 places him on and takes him through the facility like a stowaway on a ship rather than the captain at the wheel.

The feeling of despair the mask must have felt as everytime it's personality was suppressed through waves of ecstasy that swell inside of it only to then subside and have that feeling of happiness only highlight how truly miserable and bankrupted the mask is in contrast. True existential horror.

tbh I would love to see a further extended version of this, like the researchers consider if they could partially neutralise the threat of the mask through prolonged exposure to the slime. Even if it'd likely fail it'd be fun to see the 2 interacting with each other further and perhaps learning more of the other's histories. (And maybe a certain prophecy?)

When I heard about 035 taking over 999, I started groaning at the thought of the mask being able to take over. When you started talking about the mask slowly being taken over by 999's adaptive nature though, I realized how clever it was. Now I'm curious what would happen if 682 wore the mask. They're both evil, so I wonder if they would combine into something worse or if they'd have a turf war in it's mind? Also, what would happen if Dr. Bright wore the mask? Considering it's been said that he can resist the influence of when day breaks, I imagine he could do the same here. Maybe he wouldn't even put it on in the first place because he knows what it is and wouldn't even feel it's effects.
