I WAS THINKING EXACTLY THAT! 😂 She looks like that auntie that she is a free spirit and wants to have fun while visiting Mexico. At the beggining I was not in love with the look (maybe because of the eyes being too big, but she looks so fun and sassy with that crazy green hair color and the bananas as bangs that I just love her ❤😅😂

She has this serious vibe of older Spanish auntie showing her younger relative how it's done. I wasn't sure about her at first until I saw her next to Mai Tai, and then I was like, oh okay no she's perfect. The contrast between them makes the two dolls so complimentary, I love it!

She definitely turned out more serious-looking than her concept art, but she has such an aura of glam around her bc of her makeup and dramatic headdress that your comment of "runway model' seems like a perfect comparison. Love the final doll!
I love the frizz at the bottom of her hair, feels so natural for a beach hair. She turned out beautiful and already has me craving summer.
i think the individual grapes were SO worth it!!! really gives it a life like feel, along with the bananas, with how they lay. i also absolutely love the giant ruffles!!
Somehow I can't stop seeing her face as kinda sad/distant/serious... but then she has all of the vibrant colors, too. It really gives off "I dragged my female powerhouse of a friend to the beach to 'relax'" vibes with her and Mai Tai together lol. Kinda love it

Yes, somehow I feel like her personality differs so much from Dolightfuls other cheerful creations but she still fits in so well. She really reminds me of a character from a chinese drama called the Dan Princess and everyone thought she was bad but she was very loving and protective of those close to her.

Mai Tai feels like like the new young woman on the beach, while Margarita is the experienced bar babe. Margarita still turns heads when she walks down the sand, and she takes Mai Tai under her wing, to teach her how to enjoy life, serve a look, and slay the competition. They're a power duo that will soon become... a trio! I admit I had similar reservations about her until I imagined her sitting at the bar, surveying her kingdom as Mai Tai frolics in the waves. A true queen of the beach!

I actually love how the more pronounced face features and the height give her a more adult feeling. Like, all of her clothes are also exaggerated and sharp because she’s going for this commanding presence.

I think the doll base fought against you here, but your workmanship is as creative and bright as ever. Margarita is beautiful and powerful and pairs really well aesthetically with Mai Thai. I do think your star creation in this project is the headdress, though! You pulled it off so casually but it was extremely well designed and intricately crafted. The grapes are so beautiful and remind me of jewelry I've seen at the Met museum.

I actually love the bathing suit ruffles- it makes her bathing suit look like a folklórico dress which are notoriously really full and fluffy!! And it helps tie back into the Mexico inspiration!! 🥰🥰

I've noticed that you said a lot of things about the doll being, "too much," but I think that just adds to her personality!! Margarita turned out so cute! I agreed with you when you said the eyes looked a little big but when she got her luscious locks and her fabulous outfit she came together! I think she might be one of my favorite bright color dolls!
I wasn't a fan of her face at first, but seeing her in the photoshoot at the end really sold it. I like how other people are interpreting her, as like a cool auntie, I think it fits super well.

At first watch I was kind of really struck at the difference between Margarita and Mai Tai, but I watched them in order this time and I'm blown away how their intensities match completely and yet compliment each other! Based on the shape of the class, I'd guess that the next girl is a Blue Hawaii or a Pina Colada. Either way I can't wait. Keep up the good work!

I honestly love that you used that base for her, I feel like the older look fits her well. The way I see it, margaritas are stronger drinks, so a stronger more prominent body/face mold works perfectly.

I like that she came out with more emphasis on the top half of her body to complement the bottom-heavy design of Mai Tai. Margarita gives strong wine aunt vibes and I'm living for it. I have a feeling that Mai Tie takes after her sassy rich auntie and that her parents are exasperated (in a loving way of course)
Getting wine aunt vibes from this one, and I love it! I can picture her sprawled out on a beach chair under an umbrella, sipping her namesake and reading a trashy romance novel while Mai Tai runs around in the ocean.
Honestly I think it was the doll's cheek bones that we're throwing you off compared to the size of the eyes. Since the face mold was narrower the eyes looked larger, but the fuller hair helped balance it out.

I love this doll so much! Tho I do agree with you I think the eyes are slightly too big? Maybe it’s because the face sculpt is so defined it makes the face look more mature, which makes the big eyes pop out more and look a bit off? (Since big eyes are usually associated with a younger more innocent look?) But either way she is a very beautiful doll!

I'll be honest. When you revealed the ruffles on the swimsuit I was like, "AHHHH, THAT'S SO COOL!" They look great. Makes me wish was better at sewing.
