As a 22 year old, I made the mistake of buying a newer used Scat Pack instead of the RT. Within a couple of months of financing the vehicle, I decided to sell the amount I still owed on the car and was able to pick up a 2016 RT for almost half the price at $22k. IMO Scat Packs are fun, but it’s a lot of responsibility. If you’re my age and looking to safely afford something reasonably fast, I’d say go with the 5.7.
I so badly want an RT Challenger. Sure the SS Camaro and 5.0 Mustang GT are faster, powerful and lighter. But the Challenger has the retro look that im obsessed with. Plus i dont race so the 5.7L, 375 horsepower is enough for me.
I'm with you. I do admit I love the looks of the stang but the throwback to the vintage looks of the old chargers/challengers gets me. I had my Corvette with the ls1 and honestly that was plenty for me too with 345hp so 375 is solid. Hope one day an RT finds its way to you!

Rt is more of a grown up car. Real nice cruiser for someone who is more mature.it has great trunk space and a wide interior. Powerful for any passing situation on the highway. Just have to get past what all the videos tell you to buy. Recommend HID lights and super track pack.
It's a fun car lol!!! I love my 2015 R/T plus. At 370 hp it's still plenty for the street at 0 to 60 in around 5 second range, 5.1 is my best so far lol.

Everything said here can be said about the Charger. Plus you get 2 more doors. I have a 2018 Charger R/T, tuned, upgraded gears, etc. and I love it, but you get used to the power. But the Hemi sounds like a wet dream no matter how fast you drive it. I often turn down the great Alpine stereo just to listen to the exhaust because I replaced the resonators with Cherry bombs.
@FW Ges. Not sure who's buying wagons and calling them trucks. It also sounds like you're calling all Chargers family sedans despite being mechanically identical to the Challenger with the addition of 2 doors, which would be dumb.

The Dodge Challenger RT weights 4,150 pounds which is only 37 pounds heavier than an SS Camaro. I can also confirm it is bigger than a banana but is it larger than a plantain? Sources are inconclusive but I shall check tomorrow. Oh and out of all the muscle cars I have owned this one is tied for best place with my 2002 Firehawk Trans-Am. My one and only complaint is that the car is 375hp. Dodge should have really pushed it to 400hp as it would have been so easy to do....I mean stupidly easy. My yellow and black 2017 Dodge Challenger RT is over the 400hp mark and weights less than an SS Camaro now. All I did was change the airbox, Demon chip, and exhaust. Now, the car feels like it should.

I would love to get one of these, but the car taxes are crazy in Finland, the cheapest on sale now (2011) is about 43000$.. I'll ave to drive my 2000 Grand Marquis for a couple of years and save up some money! I think the Challenger looks the best compared to the Camaro or Mustang and the Hemi is a really nice motor witch gets decent fuel economy. Gas is about 7bucks per gallon here but there is no way in hell I'll drive anything else than a V8 :D Nice video!

To a certain point I agree I know pre-Fiat Dodge transmissions weren't the best but motors were always solid. They put a lot into the trucks and neglected the cars especially the small budget vehicles. Now I'd say Fiat has focused on the mechanical reliability, but the one downside they have now is a lot of the fitment and interiors look great but don't hold up well long term. They have come around since the Chrysler days.
R/T without a doubt. It's not Lexus quality interior but it's pretty darn good. The infotainment setup is a lot more modern than the Lexus interface and then throw in the power and that's another win for the Dodge. Gas mileage is the same so that's a wash. If you don't need 4 doors then for sure the R/T, but both are great rides ✊🏾

I can tell you from having driven an M5 which I'll be doing a video on soon it'll be tough and you will notice the difference. No lying about that haha but it depends what you want the car for. Hell of a lot more reliable and easier to work on the Challenger

The m5 made me go broke but I drove the piss out of it every time and the experience was amazing the handling was amazing and that v10 Noise was just like owning a Lamborghini. I’ve always wanted a challenger since high school days. I’m not a mechanic so all my work is done at shops.

Hey Neil thanks for stopping by! The debate between the Rt, scat, and SRT is so subjective it all depends on what you want with the car. The RT is plenty of car. I've had only two cars over 400hp and they were a bit more than I personally needed for daily driving, they ended up being my weekend cars. I only drive 6 miles to work and back so that kinda power wasn't for me daily. The power difference between the three is noticeable though I'll say that! You may outgrown the RT if you're looking to really enjoy some spirited driving, so I'd say scat pack, but srt might be overkill depending on what your goals are! Hope that helps 🤙

I think technically the mustang and Camaro are pony cars and the Chally is a "muscle" car. But I have the RT chally and it's great for cruising, smoking tires and being loud. Biggest back seats and trunk space of all 3 V8 American coupes. Only bad things are weight and it's down on power.

Hi bro this Neil from Australia actually I'm going to buy dodge challenger from America next year but bitt confused with Rt , scat and Srt mate. I want to spend about $32000 because I need about $28000 for RHD conversion also not sure which one should I go for and you owned Rt so what's your thoughts on Rt you happy with 5.7 or ?
Hey Neil thanks for stopping by! The debate between the Rt, scat, and SRT is so subjective it all depends on what you want with the car. The RT is plenty of car. I've had only two cars over 400hp and they were a bit more than I personally needed for daily driving, they ended up being my weekend cars. I only drive 6 miles to work and back so that kinda power wasn't for me daily. The power difference between the three is noticeable though I'll say that! You may outgrown the RT if you're looking to really enjoy some spirited driving, so I'd say scat pack, but srt might be overkill depending on what your goals are! Hope that helps 🤙

I think technically the mustang and Camaro are pony cars and the Chally is a "muscle" car. But I have the RT chally and it's great for cruising, smoking tires and being loud. Biggest back seats and trunk space of all 3 V8 American coupes. Only bad things are weight and it's down on power.
