Man, I really love Roccat's designs. But after my Kone Pro and its terrible scroll wheel issues (which Roccat knew about, and kept selling them at premium prices), I'm not touching Roccat for a few years 😢 Mine lasted like three months.

They made a new batch for that mouse that doesn’t have the scroll wheel issues. I hope it had stayed the same for this mouse too and as far as I can it doesn’t.

Does it still have the issue where it forgets the keybind if you use it in Bluetooth mode? That's my biggest complaint about the Kone Pro Air. When you use it in Bluetooth mode, all the keys are just the default functions.

Hi this might be an odd question, but, I was wondering, how this mouse compares to the Razer Viper Ultimate Mouse? If you know great. If not that's fine. I guess, I don't mean in terms of weight, but, in terms of charging time? And Optical sensor and stuff like that? Again if you don't know that's fine. I have the Razer Viper Ultimate mouse. And I like it a lot, but, if this mouse happens to be better I will get this.

    Good video.
Did try the kone XP wired version. I have been Roccat Fan since 2007. When i first used the Kone.
But from my POV Roccat Do get some of the features right, and in another place the rush the products to much.
Like i have done so man RMA i can't count it anymore.
My main muse atm is "Roccat Leadr" Love that one, did really hope for something close to that.
And the XP was on paper the best option, but for my hand it was a bit to small.
Love the button down to the thumb. That default activate easy-shift.
But the 4 button on the side to the thumb was for me a bit bad made.
would rather see only 2 good button. personally i can't use does on the fly.
It takes to much brain to hit does correct every time, could be something about getting used to do it.
And at last, the 2 button on the top close to main click, i was really dependent on does being good.
But i did after many hours find them to sharp, and kinda getting close to cut in to my finger.
i would rather see a design there the fade with the main click, or on other mouse there the are a bit higher. (Like Leadr)
But anyway, thanks for a good video again. :)
Nice to see another guy who like Roccat products.

Also watched your review of the Kone XP. Thinking about getting that one, as it's considerably cheaper. I would actually want it to play FPS games and tac shooters, like Destiny 2. Bought the Razer Basilisk v3, but it doesn't have enough buttons, and binding functions to the scroll wheel is hit-or-miss.
Just need to go back to that review to see if there's an affiliate link. The Don needs to wet his beak a little. 💰💵 😉

I've been using Roccat keyboard and mouse for the last 4-5 years. The switches on the keyboard started to die recently, after only 4-5 years of usage and I've already replaced 2 switches in my mouse, and just recently the back button on the mouse became wobbly, so I'm guessing it needs to be repaired. And all this after only 4-5 years of normal usage, I don't even game much. And what did Roccat support say? Did they send me replacement switches?? No, 20% off new products is all I got, but somehow I'm not interested anymore.

Will not touch another Roccat product until they fix their scroll wheels. The Kain 200, Burst and Kone Pro Air all share this false input issue where it will jitter when you scroll and seeing as the XP has the same mechanism. I'm sure it will suffer from the same fault.

loved this mouse but had to return because I am not a fan of the mice with humps on the backend right side.. I LOVE the shift button placement (I program it to just a single key) and the plastic they use is one of the best I've felt in terms of grippiness and really stuck out. Highly recommend if it fits your hands, wish I could just shave off that hump on the back-right to make it more egg-shaped..

I've been Roccat Tyon for 4 or more years now and I can't get off this mouse because no mouse ever provides as much versatility. Two buttons for middle finger on the right and the roccat fin is something I can never live without anymore. I use them all the time. I was hoping Kone XP would be a good successer but eh. Shame, it kinda comes close but not too close. I'm stuck with Tyon and it's a shame Roccat have stopped making fins because it's the most useful thing for, say, 3D modelling or video editing. Also the joystick on the left (I don't use it at all but) is awesome for fiddling and relaxing. This is the best mouse if you have adhd lol.
Honestly, I fear the day when this mouse breaks so I have to buy new one. But if I have no other choice I think Kone XP Air would be the way to go. Not as good of course but still not bad.
