  • Here I'm comparing the Razer Basilisk Ultimate with the Roccat Kone XP Air. Two great wireless mice which are interesting for a number of different reasons. I've review them both so be sure to check those videos for an in-depth look at each.
Roccat Kone XP Air - • Roccat Kone XP Air Rev...
This is a fantastic gaming mouse with some awesome features:
    Refined ergonomic KONE shape
Multi-button design and 4D wheel with 29 programmable inputs
Gaming-grade 2.4GHz wireless and Bluetooth dual connectivity
    Included RGB Rapid Charge Dock
Up to 100 hours of battery life
3D RGB AIMO lighting with 5 programable zones
    ROCCAT® Owl-Eye 19K dpi optical sensor
Titan Switch Optical for a tactile feel with optical speed
Lightweight and flexible PhantomFlex™ USB-C charging cable
Heat-treated pure PTFE glides, pre-tuned for smooth movements
Highlights for me include superb comfort and an excellent ergonomic design. It has a large build and fits brilliantly in the hand. The optical switches ensure there'll be no issues with double clicking or debounce delay. But the best highlights are the fact it packs both 15 buttons and a secondary layer with Easy-Shift meaning you can program 29 actions. It has onboard profiles you can assign to games and much more.
Throw in a fast-charging dock and you've got a convenient mouse that's easy to use and basically never needs plugging in.

Great comparison video. I originally bought the Basilisk v3 because I wanted a gaming mouse with more functionality. However, I found it to be heavy, and I wanted more buttons. After watching your review of the XP Air, I was intrigued by that mouse, as it seemed to offer what I was looking for. However, I bought the wired version for the lower price.
I like this mouse much better than the Basilisk, and I don’t really notice the weight. Also, I got Superglide skates for XP, though I haven’t installed them yet. And one of your posters alerted me to a YT video showing how the light diffusers on the XP can be removed for a 16.5g weight saving. But I haven’t tried that yet, for fear of damaging the shell.
Will you be doing a comparison video between the XP Air and the new Basilisk v3 Pro?

Would’ve been awesome to include the G502x as that was on my shortlist too, but I got the XP. I’ve been hearing about scroll and software issues, did you experience this? Otherwise I’ll hit up the G502x if so

What I found is that I cant go back to is not having a thumb button. Its so convenient to use, I bind it for voice chat and its just so easy to use it to speak. For Hell Let Loose the Kone XP is awesome because you can bind the maps, objectives, group chat, local chat all within your thumb.

I’ve looked towards buying a basilisk ultimate, have you stumbled across any issues with it over time and is it worth buying in 2022? I had a basilisk v3 but i had to return it because the wire kept getting stuck (and im not a wired mouse guy), but the shape seemed to fit nicely on my hand.

Love the Kone but they always break rather quickly, especially the mousewheel. Not too fond on either brand due to bad experience with their products in the past. How's your experience with them so far?

in my experience, razer mouse has lasted me longer than my logitech mice which is prone to double click issues when I am not even a hardcore gamer.

Cool mouse. Horrible software. I had the mouse for a couple hours and had multiple software crashes. Also, while playing apex legends the binds I put on the mouse just stopped working. I tried restarting the swarm app and my pc and neither worked. I had to reset the mouse through the app in the advanced settings and rebind everything. Day 1 has not been great so far. Hopefully it’s just a fluke.
