- Here I'm comparing the Roccat Kone XP Air and the Corsair Darkstar Wireless. These are two large mice with quite different features that make them appealing in their own ways.
Roccat Kone XP Air ( • Roccat Kone XP Air Rev... )
Refined ergonomic KONE shape
Multi-button design and 4D wheel with 29 programmable inputs (15 buttons)
Gaming-grade 2.4GHz wireless and Bluetooth dual connectivity
Included RGB Rapid Charge Dock
Up to 100 hours of battery life
3D RGB AIMO lighting with 5 programable zones
ROCCAT® Owl-Eye 19K dpi optical sensor
Titan Switch Optical for a tactile feel with optical speed
Lightweight and flexible PhantomFlex™ USB-C charging cable
Heat-treated pure PTFE glides, pre-tuned for smooth movements
Highlights for me include superb comfort and an excellent ergonomic design. It has a large build and fits brilliantly in the hand. The optical switches ensure there'll be no issues with double clicking or debounce delay. But the best highlights are the fact it packs both 15 buttons and a secondary layer with Easy-Shift meaning you can program 29 actions. It has onboard profiles you can assign to games and much more.
Throw in a fast-charging dock and you've got a convenient mouse that's easy to use and basically never needs plugging in.

I knew it was gonna be a landslide when I saw the plastic tolerances around that usb-c port at 0:24 seconds
I have high hopes for the Glorious Model I-2 Wireless.
Which mouse is better?
Can you disable the shift button on the rocatt? Can you reach the rear buttons on the Corsair? Which do you prefer for playing games?
You can disable or rebind the shift button on the Roccat, you can even rebind the easy shift to another button itself. I set my thumb button to dodge in games that have a dodge mechanic
If corsair had removable batteries I would be completely sold. Battery dies, just swap it out quicky and put the dead batteries on the wall charger.
Hi! I just got the Darkstar. I also have the m65 Ultra wireless. I am noticing some major differences in terms of quality, I am curious about your take on this!
hi, can you expound the differences, especially in quality.
Im planning to buy the m65 ultra as i dont need the extra buttons as Im an FPS kind of guy
@doodskie999 If you don't need the extra buttons, go with the m65u. To me it feels definitely more premium. From holding it to gliding it on the mousepad.
I have both of those mice. M65 feels more solid and premium and the buttons feel better. The darkstar has a nice coating but the buttons do not feel that great. But the mouse is really light. M65 is heavier.

Like this Corsair's mous.
Now we just need Logitech to refresh the G600! =)
G603?
Interesting which bottom buttons the most fast? I use bottom buttons and I need minimal delay
the thumb paddle on the kone XP honestly feels really nice. doesn't take much to actuate the switch, simply squeeze with your thumb.
Found you after a year and a half.
Pardon?
@@TheProvokedPrawn its a happy moment.
@@TheProvokedPrawn I think he's saying he remembers a review or video of yours from a long time ago and just came across your channel again. A definite happy surprise to come across an old positive memory =)
More mice need their scroll wheels to side click! It's practically cheating when you can rebind them. I've made mine melee for shooters for years and it's just a split second faster than having it on my keyboard
The Roccat XP Air is a great mouse but the middle button is terrible.
I use the economic mouse called Zelojes gaming mouse and it has bright RGB lights and it puts your hand like your going to shake a hand and I use to use them flat mouses and my wrist would get sore and since I’ve been using this mouse for years I have never had a sore wrist and it even has a joystick on top for flying planes or whatever you want to use it for and it has software that you can adjust the RGB lights. I have mine changing colors and breathing and my wrist never gets sore no matter how long I play and it comes with a long usb cord. I hope this helps someone. Let me know if you get one and what you think. I’ll never go back to them flat mouse’s ever again everything you need is on this mouse.
Still nothing that can beat the LOGITECH G700s unfortunately.but for twice the price... the gaming world really got out of hand. just grabbing money and decreasing quality.
Definitly looks like it. Im reading reviews of several new mice and they all seem to have problems with either bad material that rubs off, double clicking or breaking scroll wheel. Doesnt look like its bad apples either. I have an old no name brand mouse with 2 extra buttons on the left side. It was super cheap yet is still rock solid with all buttons and scroll wheel still working. Also no unnecessary gaps to collect dust. Sadly i cant find the name of it now.
Well you see, the XP isn't really a gaming mouse
how
when do u need so many buttons in a game, to me this seems like smth u would use while working@@Spectrulight
@@theguyyouwatchfornoreason so the corsair is also an office mouse?
im not educated enough to know what the corsair is but if it has this many buttons, idk man its just my opinion@@Spectrulight
@@theguyyouwatchfornoreason i'm just asking since i'm trying to find a nice mouse for gaming.
this is just so dumb to buy portable console and use outside controls..
Nah. Too many programmable buttons to accidentally hit.
