You're doing well Woody. Big kudos to you for spending time with your family and "keeping (your) head in check", as way too many of us forget how important those things are.
From being in the naughty corner for so long, he is now getting the love he so deserves. That first full 1/4 mile run is going be just sensational ❤❤❤ here's to KEVO
love seeing this thing come together! About the throttle body orientation, the motor shaft hole should not be pointing at the bottom according to Bosch moisture can seep to the motor.
8:49 Tape up the lid lip/ridge so paint doesn't glue the lid shut. Then tape a big V across the open area of the paint can so it pours out through a narrow area.
All the time you spent with Al acquiring all the skill and knowledge to turn cars like Kevo out are shining now! Big hand for keeping the time for your family- too many content creators have fallen to the "Toober's Disease" and it has cost them families and more; Don't be that guy! You may only get one chance to see your kids do something really awesome- don't miss out.
Hey Woody, loving the regular uploads. I saw you cruising through Buderim a week or so back, I was the obnoxious bloke in the Flick Ute. Cheers bloke, keep up the good work
Doing it wrong until it's right is the only way to do it with most things unless the consequences are dire. Thx for demonstrating mistakes are not just forgiveable, but 100% the correct way to learn most of the time. 👍
I love the work you have done please dont rush things. I know things get frustrating but dont rush things because that ruins all the effort you already put in if you mess things up trying to finish quickly when frustrated
Woody, I love your work, have been watching Al n you for ever. Stay good with your family because that's super important and this is from a very old Valiant E49 six pack pureist, now e39 BMW. Keep the spanners in hand while you still post these wonderful vids. Thank you.
Really putting in the sweat equity on this one, Woodie - but boy is it paying off! This build is looking bloody awesome (and great to see you're still having some fun with your mates, along the way!). The five P's is definitely a thing and we've all been there 😁
Woody, you have honestly been killing it mate! Kevo seriously is looking so good!! You're doing great work with it mate, seriously. Can't wait for the next installment! Keep up the great work and vids!!
Woodrigos I have to record training videos for work and the outtakes on your episodes always kill me. I'm sure my neighbours wonder why they hear me repeating the same thing over and over and over again with giant swears in between :D Love your vids mate, cheers.
"Up in the air" is when your build is in between streetcar or racecar. I built my car for 70% track use and 30% street duties, but in reality it spends 97% of it's time on axle stands.
Can’t wait to see Kevo completed, even though it’s a Holden, be far too long . Hopefully put some decent numbers down. Keep up the great work, Al should be proud.
Woody, if you do end up putting the handbrake between the seat and door, find a HQ-HZ/WB lever as once pulled up it will drop back down so you wont smack/dig your leg into it while getting in/out of the car
I had a single piece tailshaft in one of my Commodores and the factory handbrake cables used to hit it at the adjuster as they were designed to clear the 2 piece which sat higher than the one piece did where the rear section of cable connected. I also bolt the motor, gearbox, steering rack and crossmember (K-Frame) together and drop the car onto them. it allowed me to fit the power steering and extractors (pacemakers for 355 stroker are bigger) as they are an absolute pain to fit once the motor is in.
No the pressed steel axle retainers. Just the factory f truck ones. I just drilled a hole in the plate to suit the pin. Was able to use the vr pins. Think I just had to squish the u clip in a little.
Also if you having trouble finding vn-vs brake parts try a tractor / machinary shop, as some rollers used that model of calliper i found them on a massey ferguson tractor roller thing (was weird as the tractor itself had no front wheel) but im sure others were the same
Potential Australian of the year advice tbh. For pbr callipers? I can’t find original part numbers or really any helpful information to use as reference tor brake stuff
Try sticking the tape in the groove that the lid fits into. Should direct a lot of stuff back into the tin and the small amount that runs down the back will not fill the groove for the lid.
You might have to test out that throttle body orientation theory on Kai's dyno when you're ready for tuning. Likely negligible difference but would be interesting.

This is YT, how could you not break out the electrolysis tanks and replate the fasteners.
I must say doing the old silent movie intro when your mic dies is fkn genious 👌👌
Haha had to leave jt in!
@@theskidfactorymaybe Al should have tried it😂😂
Street & Strip was the term back in the day.
Get handbrake setup from benchseat ute bolts in between sill & driver seat.
Literally came here to say this exact thing !!
@@beardbuilds5140 me three...
Tuning in after having a busy few weeks, now I can give TSF videos the attention they deserve
You're doing well Woody.
Big kudos to you for spending time with your family and "keeping (your) head in check", as way too many of us forget how important those things are.
Great to see you doing the little stuff like handbrakes. Brings back memories.
It's actually ridiculous how many "Built" cars i've seen that don't have a handbrake
You're killing it Woody. Attention to detail has it's rewards. Kevo has risen above being just a well thrashed skid pig.
You’re not wrong, the skid factory ,has evolved from charmander to charmeleon! Woody and your mates are killing it! 🔥
From being in the naughty corner for so long, he is now getting the love he so deserves. That first full 1/4 mile run is going be just sensational ❤❤❤ here's to KEVO

Good point! Didn’t think about that!
8:49 Tape up the lid lip/ridge so paint doesn't glue the lid shut. Then tape a big V across the open area of the paint can so it pours out through a narrow area.
Yep. This is the way.
Good to see Ethel again
Just had my VS resprayed in factory Panther mica, up there with one of the nicest holden colours for sure
Bloody beautiful colour!

Awesome progress Woody, the silent movie intro folded me, great ep brother.

That's a lot of work, keep it up.
All of the little things that take up all the time!
Killing it Woody, so awesome to see you back on the tools and building stuff. Thats what makes us watch and tells the story.
Good to see the generous use of the squeeky hammer!!
I love the work you have done please dont rush things. I know things get frustrating but dont rush things because that ruins all the effort you already put in if you mess things up trying to finish quickly when frustrated
Keeping the al tradition alive by looking through holes in things
15:15 i agree the 5 Ps are very important
Although it was technically six.
Tunes on B roll are sick buddy love it! keep kevo coming!😍
Loving the hilltop hoods reference in the after credits. "Its a swan" 🤙

Awesome episode this one, good to see things going together
Looks like I’ll be in the shed tonight
Woody has a knack for making these jobs look very simple. 👌🏿
Really putting in the sweat equity on this one, Woodie - but boy is it paying off! This build is looking bloody awesome (and great to see you're still having some fun with your mates, along the way!).

Gee that's really good suffa what is that? It's a swan!
Man this is so cool!! Loving the colours and fresh paint. Maybe you could run a Vg/Vs bench seat ute handbrake set up down next to the seat.
Loving the content woody. Can see you're putting in a lot of hard work and it's paying off.
The inbetween of track car and street car should be simply called a sick car because if it can do both, sick!!
Good to see Kev the Sicko coming on and to see Chris pop in. Great stuff 👍🏼
Good work, dare I say great work.
Don’t tell him that, he might believe you 👍
Another great video, kevos a sicko . Can't wait to see those 8 sec passes
Kevo is coming along nicely. can't wait to see him in action
Club car. A club car is between a race car and street car. Well that's what I call my caged street car that I track :)
Super excited to see this car come together after a lot of planning and painting. UPPA WOODY 💪💪
Great job Woody. Keep up the great work.
Woodrigos I have to record training videos for work and the outtakes on your episodes always kill me. I'm sure my neighbours wonder why they hear me repeating the same thing over and over and over again with giant swears in between :D Love your vids mate, cheers.
Kevin is a sickooooooo
he scratches carz
He's got a big dko haha
And he's got a big di..... ok that's enough from me 😂
masking tape trick is use two pieces of tape too make a V over paint tin, helps to pour and cleaner to reseal tin
Looking good Woody👍
Who needs audio when the car looks this good? 😁🤘
Woody. You have done an amazing job. Progress much.
I’d say thats the best episode you’ve released so far wood. Nice bro
"Up in the air" is when your build is in between streetcar or racecar.
I built my car for 70% track use and 30% street duties, but in reality it spends 97% of it's time on axle stands.
mine spends most of its time in the shed, its not nice to drive on the street at legal speeds and I dont get to the track as much as I would like.
Phenomenal work Woody! Thanks for sharing!
❤ Just think this car is epic went from Beata to Heata 🤘
Much better content of late woodie, keep it up 👍
Very clean
Can’t wait to see Kevo completed, even though it’s a Holden, be far too long . Hopefully put some decent numbers down. Keep up the great work, Al should be proud.

Getting down to brass tacks bro nice job I’ve been waiting to see Kevin get worked on that thing should be so nice when you’re done
Look for a 3 seater vr/vs Ute handbrake assembly they are mounted on the RH side beside the driver’s seat
it's always awesome seeing a job done well with great attention payed to both function and form!!! looks good and will blast....well done!
Hey Woody you can get r31 skyline rear callipers and they bolt straight on with a holden disc and the handbrake then works the disc not the drum..
Yeah I looked at this as an option! Got it sorted in the end anyway, if there’s any more issues I’ll probably go down that path
Good work boys. Hopefully, we'll see Kevo out on the coast roads soon.
Ex painter pourer here , go steady and be quick but smooth bringing it up when done pouring 😂
Love, kevo nice work
How good is that engine bay colour. Should do the whole car whilst you are there 😂😂
Squeaky hammer!
Looking smicko boys love the Sherbrooke green.
Kavo is coming along nicely. I followed the original build on Nugget Garage.
Looks great, keep it going!
Let the hairdresser/ part time electrician know it’s the 6 p’s haha doing good lads 🤘
Thanks Woodie. I think Kevo is going to thank you for the fine treatment :)

That green paint looks schmicko!
Wel done lads 🚀
Woody is such a mini me Al, but in his own right. Missing Al, but still loving TSF. Go Woody. (And come back Al :) )
looking minta bro!
Two pieces of tape, in the shape of a V, on top of the paint can (not the side like you had). I promise it works!! Makes a little spout
In the UK names Kev so got to watch Kevo 👍🏻🇬🇧😆
I modified the handbrakes shoes on mine to suit big bearing. But I used the press steel type retainer not the 5mm plate
Try and find an OEM bench seat handbrake. Assembly. Bruce may have one
What are the pressed steel ones? Does it do away with the annoying hold down pin setup
No the pressed steel axle retainers. Just the factory f truck ones. I just drilled a hole in the plate to suit the pin. Was able to use the vr pins. Think I just had to squish the u clip in a little.
Great vid woody!!!
Hilltops reference ❤
you are going to be redoing those bushes in a few months, superpro is where its at they don't crumble like nolathane
Super fancy 😮
GO KEVO !!!!

That was 6 P's 😂 Drop the prior part 😂
Preparation Prevents Piss Poor Performance 👌🤙💯
Eagerly waiting to see you cutting shitties in this thing. Glad you got back on this project!
Use an Estopp hand brake actuator. They work very well.
Do miss your dad though lol
We at Kawana pub tomorrow night.
Hey man that's one sweet looking colour one the pipes. Kev's starting to look pretty shmiko.
lookin siiiiiiiiiiick 🤙

“Reet car” 👍
Hope you put some thread sealer on the flywheel bolts ..
great episode Woody
Looks mint 👌🏻
It is wild to see something as late as a VR getting a resto treatment
30 years old now

The tape goes across the top of the paint can ,Haynes paints sell clip on paint pourers
