Back in the day ("the day" being late 90's) I had a low 13 car and it was considered "quick". Todays fast cars are on another level, can't even imagine what it must be like to launch in a car that'll do sub 10!
Next week we show you how to tech your "street car" with a cage and a chute, ha ha keep it up boys 🤘🤠🤙 ps gonna havta a couple of them lemon squash stickers 👌
19:05, i didn't know you drank blue Gatorade's I thought you were a lemon squash sort of guy, its a slippery slope, might be a greed cordial next episode.
Woody the magic man on the edit software and smooth as lemon squash on a hot afternoon camera work, damn brother, serioulsy killed it on this one. Im loving the effort you are putting mate these videos are some next level entertainment, thankyou
Really love the Crown build. Such a cool car. Mechanically it seems to be working fantastically, but the rear suspension still needs work to keep it from squatting so much on the right side. No big deal, there's always refinements to be made in a custom hot rod. It's part of the journey. 🙂
Should’ve run it on LPG Gas Al and you mighta remembered to change your 2 speed powerglide. Then wouldn’t need to go to the ATM machine with your PIN number 😂
Both yourself and the Crown will become in tune, as you get the chance to run it at event like this 🤟❤ thanks again to all of the OTL crew for their time on the Live Stream, along with Mick from Addictive Events.
Awesome vlog and whip boys, bravo! Obvious that a lot of other cars had take-off and traction issues, maybe track prep issue (I know it happens). Just noticed how much driver angle you had going down the strip. Watched the 4link video earlier before commenting and noticed you decided not to fit a rear pan-hard bar. For the street, probably negligible impact, but maybe for strip with the big block torque on hand, it could help level out the rear. Just an idea. Otherwise, rock on with beast Crown - keep rippin 👍🏻
Nice one! In regards to the wheel spin with radials did you put more pressure in the tyres to stop them from hopping? If they run to low tyre pressure they will spin.
Here is a serious question. When is the terrible practice of sitting on the line while a far slower car makes a pass going to end? Unless you are bracket racing its so dangerous and pointless .2:45 for example. If either guy loses it on the top end there is such a high closing/impact speed. No one should be permitted to sit and buold boost for 4 second and run a 9 at 150 with a 13 at 100 in the other lane. Its stupid.
Depends on the event. If you’re just going for E/T then it can be better to take your time and stage first, then build boost and launch when you’re ready. Trying to really cut a light adds extra things that can mess up a run. But, some events have gone to setting a max time you can sit at the lights. More to keep the event moving though.
I think it’s a pretty good point. Tom Bailey has a 1 second limit to leave after the light at Sick Week, I don’t think it was particularly adopted for safety but to keep races close.
@@Ryan-hf9qz it wasn't a bracket race at 2:45. It would have been a hell of a collision if anything happened at the line though. And furthermore in most bracket racing there are classes that are within a second or maybe 2. My point is having 50mph closing speeds at the finish line is very foolish and unnecessary.
Queensland law dictates that you must have a personalized number plate if you want to own a fast street car. Also Queenslanders abbreviate words but use the same amount of syllables in that abbreviation. *sponsor - 'spono' ayy😂
I have to say this channel is criminally undersubscribed.
Well done Al
Yeah that crown is magic Al. Hauls arse!
I love how quiet your car is. The blower whine inside is awesome.
Good to see you got her built mate.what a beast.thanks for everything back in the day 👍😎
Over in Nz we do the full quarter mile in the weekends.
Genuine 9 second street car. Very very impressive. Must feel awesome to drive. That is very quick for a street car!
don't let youtube mush your brain, that's quick for an any car ....
@@Mouthy_Trucker 100% but particularly so for a street car, hence the comment.

@@Beer_Dad1975 definitely. A 12 second street car is still bloody quick I reckon.
@@ttv8ra23absolutely, most people drive shit boxes that even struggle to get to 100kmh faster than 12 seconds.
Death, taxes and woody saying to the driver "love this thing man" for every car he jumps into hahha

I think you guys need to head down to Mildura to Cars n Things Restos... 🙂
That’s a wicked fast streetcar, looks amazing 👌 she flexes and twists a bit reminds me of the purple HQ Monaro on Drag Week and RMRW this year.
37L per 100km…. Now that’s impressive!
How much fuel does it needs for cruising around? - Yes
So if it was a 60 litre fill up. You would only get 160kms to a tank. Crazy
I thought 24.5L/100km was bad in my E60... No more complaints from me! 😆
Loved this episode guys ! Great to see you out enjoying yourselves in what you’ve built !
Bring on more of it

Love a Skid Factory road trip! Oh... and the centre exit exhaust looks mean!
Alan’s gear change @ 16:42 was perfect !!!
UP THE CORTINA!!!!!
Great video guys, great racing.
Gotta love that chassis twisting with all the torque
That lean to the right.. Time for some suspension work?
Congrats on your ride Al. Beautiful. Boys got feisty @ 20:20 onwards. 😅 And great to see the Grom hanging with the old Cheese. Cheers Boys
Lookit you lot, turning drag races into Regularity.
Love this car
You joked about tyre pressures being different, but when you look at the weight transfer off the line, it may well have helped....
Damn Al, every time I see the Crown I just drool. She is such a sweet build.

That Car it goes really fast Well done Turbo Yoda 👏👏👏
Such a classy machine and so smooth. With all that twist she should be called Eileen.
that mk5 Cortina looks SWEET!!! (the one with the CORTU plates on it) really tidy and a nice colour too
Crown vs Cresta has to be on the horizon, surely?
I love it, the Crown is a beautiful combination of old school JDM, hot rod goodness and modern tech.
Yeah The United 🤘
Great to see you enjoying the Crown, that supercharger sounds mean af :-)
I'm qn old school knuckle dragging VK (Brockie R.I.P.) loving Troglodyte so I love the Crown. It's my favourite.
That looks so sick basically 3 wheeling to the 1/8th
Looks like a amasing time. Good to see Timmy and Al jr. Nice video.
why only racing 1/8th mile???
That chassis has quite the flex to it. That was like a one wheel wheelie for the entire drag.
Should’ve run it on LPG Gas Al and you mighta remembered to change your 2 speed powerglide. Then wouldn’t need to go to the ATM machine with your PIN number 😂
Al going full Darth Vader spec with the GoPro on the mouth of the helmet
looking pretty stout now, good numbers.
That's what you build those cars for. Awesome!
Congratulations on your PB.
Seen you boys rolling out only by chance.
I was in the harvey's tow truck with the gold clubby on the back
Loving the door lock accessory Al!
I take it the reverse lights are on whilst trans brake is activated?
Love the Crown....Old school is always a winner. Another great vid guys
Well done Al and Woody keep up the amazing work 👍and great to see the old crown out!
She's listing to port captin'. Thanks for more great content.
I’m watching

@3:30 The Crown has a gangsta lean the whole way down the track!
Stance is spot on now too 👌
So, is this going to be called "Al's 6 second Crown?"
On the eighth yea!!
@@matty_isthemotto yeah don't tell @bennyscustomworks
1/8 mile remember. Al said equivalent to a 9.90 1/4
A 6 to match the 9 on the plates 😁
No ,that went to Charles. 😊
That chassis twist though.. 😅
2:07 hey nice door lock you have there
Really cool seeing Turbo Yoga in the driver's seat

The Crown Looks great Al. Catch up some day when my cars done. Not as nice as your. Not sure I'll take the P76 down the track, she will explode.
That number plate makes a lot more sense now, it's a 9 second crown! (Over the quarter)
That lemon squash looking like a pasito…
Well, thats a real door lock knob😂
Good vid

sagging on right side... worth sorting?
I think he threw the race! 🍋
That Crown is hot! Cheers from Arizona!
Love the crown, excellent drag and drive!
great episode guys. Love watching this stuff
Any bets on how long Al's poor old seat is going to last with all the launches? 😁
Nice.
Good to see you guys enjoying a car you’ve built awesome
@Taylordrifts this is the kind of No prep car you need!
Definitely needs a siffer anit roll bar 😅
No real drag track close by?
Does it lean to the right because of the southern hemisphere? 😂😂
Nice work anyway. Hope you enjoyed your lemon squashes

So Al… When are we gonna get to see your Z32 on the show?
It’s my wife’s. And soon.
Congratulations Al, not an easy task pulling 6.30s on the eighth
Big Al on the new. Legend
What is the distance 1/8 mile or something metric?also your might want to stiffen it a bit that left front is barely touching the track.
1/8 mile.
@@theskidfactory Thanks for the reply.

113mph is not hanging around, well done!
I dig the street car brother! 💪🍻
Your whip looks gangster Al! Love your work.
Can you give it an economy tune for normal driving? Or is that limited by the injectors?
Sick!
The great northern lemon squash !!
It's got that gangster lean goin on from all that torque
Shame you didn't get that $650. Might've covered half the fuel to get home.
I didn’t have a hope, there were some experienced racers there and they all had the power.
He also didn’t have a hope covering fuel bill..
The First glimpse of All with the Go Pro on the front of the Helmet is Star wars '' Woody i am youre Father""" Hehehehehehe
Cleeter shirt spotto 🤌🏼
It needs chassis stiffening and suspension offset. That's some wicked reverse dog legging it was doing at the start. :))
