@eoe123321, actually he was considered a top QB in the league from 2000 until about 2000 - 2003. Then injuries derailed his career from there. Regardless of Fisher holding McNair back as a QB or not, McNair was always considered a warrior in the NFL and he led his team to playoff success, his defense didn't have to carry majority of the load. Not to mention, McNair won the regular season MVP trophy and he was the MVP for his team the year they went to the Super Bowl. With all of that said, I'm with SAS and Deion on this discussion. I don't think Eli should be a HOF'er because he won two Super Bowls and won MVP's for those games when anyone on his defensive unit should have won those awards. If Eli gets in, the bar is being lowered by the NFL on who is allowed into the HOF and you are opening the gates from guys like Nick Foles and Joe Flacco to get into the HOF, two guys that shouldn't even sniff the HOF.

Regardless of Fisher holding McNair back as a QB or not, McNair was always considered a warrior in the NFL and he led his team to playoff success, his defense didn't have to carry majority of the load. Not to mention, McNair won the regular season MVP trophy and he was the MVP for his team the year they went to the Super Bowl.
With all of that said, I'm with SAS and Deion on this discussion. I don't think Eli should be a HOF'er because he won two Super Bowls and won MVP's for those games when anyone on his defensive unit should have won those awards. If Eli gets in, the bar is being lowered by the NFL on who is allowed into the HOF and you are opening the gates from guys like Nick Foles and Joe Flacco to get into the HOF, two guys that shouldn't even sniff the HOF.
