Nobody forgot that it’s one of the most famous moments in Super Bowl history. It’s just that most people give the credit to Holmes when it reality is was a pretty easy catch (by NFL standards) of a pass that was absolutely perfect. You’re right. That throw was way more impressive than the catch. That whole game winning drove was good decisions and good throws.

2011 Giants had a bottom 2 o-line and a bottom half defense.... Btw, in 2007, the Giants defense was also bottom half. People are misremembering just because of the sacks. Sacks are great, but stretched over a season is far and few in-between. Not only that, the Giants did not have a good pass blocking o-line. They had a great run blocking one though. Don't conflate pass blocking and run blocking.
The Giants have not been a good organization. Anything that was good left when Wellington handed the reins over to his son.

The Steelers produced 90 Pro Bowlers and 28 All-Pros behind BR, while the NYG produced 44 Pro Bowlers and 7 All-Pros behind Eli. IOW, he had better defenses, better o-lines, and better players at WR, TE, and RB. As matter of fact, Eli led as many Top 10 offenses (7) in 14 yrs (with fewer weapons) as the F/T QB as BR did in 17 yrs. Also, Eli was the best player on the NYG 5 times and Roethlisberger only once. That advantage in GWDs that BR has? That's due to BR having better D's that held leads in the 4th Q (Eli had more game-tying/go-ahead TDs in the 4th Q 44 to 42). In the POs, Eli was clearly better - 2 SB MVPs (with zero for BR) with far fewer turnovers (BR is the all-time leader in pick-sixes in the POs).

Eli wasn't even considered elite year in and year out. He, like Ben, won 2 rings with great defense but Ben took the Steelers to a 3rd Super Bowl. If you take away the rings from both it's not even close. Ben has 4 perfect games, a record, four 500 yd games, a record, the youngest QB to win a Super Bowl, 2nd all time in game winning drives behind only Peyton Manning by 1 game and 3rd all time in 4th quarter comebacks behind only Brady and Peyton by 1 and 2 games. Eli's career completion percentage is 60 to Ben's 64 and his rating is 84.1 to Ben's 93.5. Ben when playing a full season was never under 60 percent completion (2 years were 59.9 and 59.7 but that's rounded to 60 mathematically) he had a passer rating in the 90s 14 times to Eli's 5 times and in the 100s 3 times to Eli's zero. Eli had seven 4000 yd seasons to Ben's six but Ben also had a 5000 yd season. I'll give Eli credit for a 5000 yd year since he had a 4933 season but then you gotta give Ben an extra 5000 yd year for his 4952 season. As said they both have 2 rings but Ben has an additional Conference championship. Eli's SB MVPs are overblown, especially the first one when Tyree with the first TD and then the helmet catch was just as significant and in the second one Nicks had 10 catches for 103 yds. Ben easily could have been MVP vs the Cardinals. But regardles Ben was more accurate and his ability extended the play is legendary.
