My wife's new RAV4 was stolen the thieves followed her in to a car park and took signal when locking and putting key in pouch, so just the Faraday pouch is not enough, luckily car was retrieved through someone recognising after seeing a social media post.

This ghost immobilser thing isn't a British product. It is from. Russia. In Europe they stopped selling it. I'll list the reasons below. Its real name is IGLA200. You may want to go and speak with your local trading standards office. Author has no valid CE for IGLA (Ghost) immobilizer. This is one of the reasons why we stopped selling it. They had no approval nor any EMC test report at all until December 2017. In January 2018 they got an EMC test report for IGLA according to the standards EN 301 489-1 V2.1.1 and EN 301 489-3 V1.6.1. EN 301 489-1 V2.1.1 is right but EN 301 489-3 V1.6.1 is an old standard and not valid anymore. It doesn’t include the R.E.D. directive 2014/53/EU. The right and current test standard is EN 301 489-3 V2.1.0 instead. So, they have passed test standards EN 301 489-1 V2.1.1 and EN 301 489-3 V1.6.1 but the product is still not CE conform. Last but not least, Author has no E-mark (ECE approval) for their products at all.

That mirror is a neat tool, so if the car is stolen wouldn't the video overwrite the prior footages? My car was stolen and found 2 weeks ago, there was a lot of motion after the theft, the police, the tow company staff. So if the mirror were installed it would have just retained the record of the tow company staff.
It depends how big the SD card is and what quality it's filming at, with a 128GB card and 720P there's a fair amount of storage on there before it overwrites
It's quality is better than what it looks, by no means is it as protective or bulky as the disc lock, but it took a professional 5 minutes ++ to get the stop lock off. Be sure to get the Pro, as the original stoplock is terrible.
@Jon smith I agree the disc lock is better. It's more secure. However if you don't bother to put it on because it takes more effort then it's not good.
Josh, with the Keyless VAG cars (Golf R) could you do a video on how to turn on/off the door function but still allow the ignition to be keyless with OBDeleven please ?
why people PAY for an rfd blocker is beyond me ...put your keys in a old biscuit tin at night with a lid (metal tin and lid ) sorted.....or put keys inside a wallet made up with three or four layers of tin foil taped into a bag /wallet shape ..sorted ...cost pretty much zero for both ...fools paying £5 - £10 etc for signal blocking containers and wallets are fools with to much money .

Gone for a basic sterling touch on mine. Kept the thieves away from mine at work who have been sniffing around my R
Remote tracker and engine immobiliser helps too. They're around £400 fitted.
Yeah, I think Ghost and Pandora fall into that category, both decent options as far as I know

Yes I can take up to 128GB as far as I remember

It only needs to be slightly stronger than the wheel. They have to cut the wheel in 3 places to get the lock off.

Also, which mirror (manufacturer) would you recommend (Amazon) ? I'm in the US
Nextbase are a good shout
What about a good old fashioned immobiliser switch hidden somewhere clever.
That would work too!
The automatic dimming rear view mirror is very good, why not just get a regular dash cam?
I wanted something that I could leave in that is 99.9% of the time undetectable.
I have a page back alarm If i put my key in that case will the signal still alert me?

I'll have a look into it Tony 👍🏼 thanks for commenting
Hi Tony,
I've just seen a way to do this so I'll look into doing a video 👍
Thanks for the vid and links! 👍🏼

Id personally just prefer the little pocket then messing around with tins and tin foil 🥴
Shadow sun jean paul guilter tin with lid
Does putting your key in foil paper work the same as that pouch?
I would imagine it should have the same effect, essentially anything that blocks signals
Autowatch Ghost Fitted the day after I bought my. 7.5R
How have you found it since fitting? Have you ever forgot to enter it in?
It's been routine from day one, it's bliss!
Didn't a MK2 Focus RS get nicked with ghost on it?
the stoplock I have that goes through the steering wheel my horn keeps going off ...where am I going wrong ?????
Do it at a different angle, depending on the angle it can press the horn 👍
Don't you think that car thieves would know all about the mirror thing and just steal it?
But won't they be tempted to steal the dash cam cause it of value?
Potentially but it's fairly well hidden
Will this fit an m-sport steering wheel of the bmw f10 (520d 2015) ?
Should do buddy,
What did you get from Gregg's?
Probably a Tandoori Chicken sandwich
Could you have at least showed how it fits on the steering wheel?
It is relatively simple to be honest
