My niece and nephew spend a day each week with me, and almost every time we bake something. This week was suppose to be a chocolate cake, but I got almond bark instead of chocolate by mistake, fortunately I came across this video and we made these instead and they turned out really good. Nice easy recipe to follow and easy to cook with 2 little kids. Thanks you for putting this out there and helping me inspire a new generation of cooks, even if I'm only so so myself :)

John: I made these last night and shared them with my friend from Charlotte well she was visiting in town for our 60th birthday celebration. She loved them. And so did her niece, so I will keep this in the permanent brownie file as a new number one most delicious brownie recipe ever! I should mention that I added 3/4 of a cup of chocolate chips and one cup of walnuts. And since I didn’t have a special chocolate powder, I just used the Hershey’s. They were decadent; And so decadent, that they were gone in less than 24 hours. Thank you for another wonderful recipe. Keep on baking🥰
is it too sweet? i want to make these but the recipe mentions lot of sugar so I was wondering if it's turns out ok or too sweet

This guy makes cooking so enjoyable. What a great personality. Love watching him while cooking
I would have done so much better in school having a teacher like him, with patients, laughter, care
So I tried this recipe today, I followed the directions and weights down to a T (except the baking time, took an hour in the oven maybe because I had a glass pan?)......and let me tell you that it was fantastic as advertised. It was exactly like he shows, it was glossy and crunchy on top, the insides were molten chocolate. My wife complimented on how good it tastes and my son loved it too. The house smelled great while baking!
This is my first brownie that I have ever made that did not turn out to be a dry and crumbly. Thank you for sharing this recipe, it was delicious and easy to follow!
Nah I used a metal pan just now and after 30 minutes the middle fell apart lol. An hour minimum seems to be the cooking time
Ok, I'm 2 years late to the party, but I have FINALLY found your awesome channel. This is my first time doing any kind of recipe that includes flour. I've never done this before and it came out PERFECT!!!! Thank you so much for sharing
I tried this tonight and they were amazing!! I just want to share what to expect when you make them :)
1. I didn't have a microwave so I melted it using a small pot and I cooled it down just a little bit until I could tolerate the heat
2. I decreased the white sugar amount from 200g to 150g and I think it was too much. If you want to decrease the sweetness maybe 170g would be better
3. Make sure to whisk the sugar egg and butter mixture properly to have a smooth batter. I didn't do this and only noticed when all the ingredients were mixed together so I used a rubber spatula to crush the sugar against the sides of the bowl and it worked a bit.
4. My mom asked me to add almonds on top so we did and they tasted amazing
Thank you for this wonderful recipe it was so fudgy and delicious!
I agree with using less sugar
Hi tina, thanks so much for the tips! When u used 150g and felt it was too much, do you mean the reduction was too drastic and we should use 170g? Or that even with 150g you felt they were too sweet and perhaps we can use even lesser?
Also, can you please share the size of your baking dish, and the time + temp you baked at? I'm worried because lots of folks are saying they were WAY too liquidy.
Thanks so much!
@@SunnahTaqwa hello! I recommend 170g of sugar because 150g was too little sugar. It was a bit too bland at that point so more than 150 but less than 200. I don't remember how long I baked it but I just followed the recipe on how long and how high the temp is.
I hope this helps!
@@tinaong4422 please correct me it's 400 gm Brown+white Sugar isn't it. So did you reduce just the white sugar ratio?
Hi do you mix in the vanilla extract eggs and sugar when the melted butter is hot or you let the butter cool down then you add in the rest of the ingredients?
