A truly awesome and captivating performance and talent on display there. In my view, the whole group put their heart and soul into this particular gig but Mick Fleetwood and Lindsay Buckingham shone brightly and I would have to say they, along with the McVie's and Stevie Nicks gave the show 200 percent. Difficult not to watch over and over again and I am in my mid seventies.
Poor Mick Fleetwood, rolling the thunder for Lyndsey here. It's like wrestling a bear - you don't quit when YOU'RE tired, you quit when the bear gets tired.
What the actual fuck!! I can't say I'm the biggest Mac fan in the world, but I like them. I remember hearing this song from the 1975 FM album and just loved it, but over the years had forgotten all about it until I stumbled on it here. This version completely decimates the '75 original.... and that solo. I have never heard a solo so full of passion and virtuosity, yet tempered enough to keep tension-kinda like riding the edge of a full-blown orgasm. Certainly a candidate for one of the top 10 solos in rock.
Jim Friendofashoe give a listen to the 1982 concert version, also will blow your doors off... the solo is quite different stylistically yet equally a masterwork of virtuosity talent and passion
I don't know why , but I can guess , these youngster don't understand what music is, this is the music that never dies, just like pink floyd , dire strait , led zeppelin, the doors , sinatra , otis redding, nina simone ........

every time I hear the solo near the end it takes me to another world. thank you Lindsey thank you Fleetwood for giving me the chance to show my son what real musicians are
LB and SN’s voices were made 4 each other. And the little bit of harmony she sings in this song adds so much! And Lindsey WOW!! What an awesome guitarist he has become or always has been. He should at least b in the top 10 great guitarists on this planet!!
@Jessica Schantz thank you! Even at the young age I was, I had never seen anything like it and to this day still never have seen such a real performance!
Has been the highlight of every one of the seven FM concerts I’ve seen with Lindsey in the lineup. Every time the solo became longer and more complex. Lindsey is nothing less than a guitar god.
Lindsey was THE creative force behind FM from Rumours to Tango. Christine McVie was amazing as well. This song is so completely different from other FM songs and yet, it is the one that gets me on a regular basis. Isn’t Midnight is second. I cannot understand that FM filling arenas but LB is only seen in medium sized venues. He gave HIS songs to FM so that FM records/CD’s could be recorded. The guy is amazing.
Freakin Amazing! In a league all by himself with the best finger picking style, that has ever graced a set of guitar strings. Even with this out of this world solo, I don’t think we’ve seen everything that Lindsay has to offer. The most underrated guitarist ever to grace a stage. Without music like this to brighten my day, I don’t know what I would do. Thank you Lindsay.
Buckingham shines in this video, as brightly as a guitarist can shine. I've always wanted the song to be 3-5 bpm faster, or even more ... but there's a lot to be said for the tempo restraint here. At least once, I'd love to hear it played less slowly (not fast). It seems a bit overindulgently plodding on Fleetwood's part - although I absolutely LOVE the sound he gets from this kit - the best I've heard (among many great kits - have never seen the kick drum setup he uses here, before or since this performance). Such an iconic song - all the musicians are on point here, I always love McVie's keyboard work, and in years when Nicks didn't sing on this tune in concert - her rendition was uniquely hers and wonderful. Thanks for posting!
Awesome, awesome, awsome. Lindsey Buckingham knows his way round a guitar better than anybody else. I'm an 80s child but thank goodness my parents listened to this kind of music. Awesome ❤
When you hear this and the solo version of Big Love at one end of the spectrum and the beautiful simplistic tones of the guitar accompaniments to Landslide and Warm Ways, you begin to get an idea of how incredibly talented Buckingham was and what a huge range and depth that talent had..
Nice comment but Lindsey is still around and producing amazing music both touring and currently recording a new FM album and he is playing that guitar better than ever!....sorry you just speak of him as something from the past...just a bit touchy when it comes to L.B that's all!..lol

Mick does a fantastic job in this song along with Lindsey.
I never get tired of listening to this song! Lindsay's *screaming* guitar playing and singing, John's *thundering* bass playing, Mick's drumming. Now *that's* rock!
Agreed
Also, Mick Fleetwood is an under-rated drummer. Period!!
agreed!!!!!!!! hes afckinmazing!!!!!!!!!
Absolutely majestic in this - you can sense his joy at being right there for Lindsey's absolute show-stopper. He gave everything.
This is the last song my son heard before he died January 21st 2022 Daniel Cherry Jr gone
Sorry for your loss may God heal your heart 😢
Lindsey's a freaking beast this man is so underrated its ridiculous
Unfortunately Fleetwood Mac will never be the same without his talent
The drummer is a beast
I think Mick Fleetwood would take that as a compliment lol He is truly a legend.
You mean the guy who put the Fleetwood in Fleetwood Mac?
Christine and the haunting keyboards, RIP!!!
My thoughts exactly 💯
I been alone
All the years
So many ways to count the tears
I never change
I never will
I'm so afraid the way I feel
Days when the rain and the sun are gone
Black as night
Agony's torn at my heart too long
So afraid
Slip and I fall and I die.
I been alone
Always down
No one cared to stay around
I never change
I never will
I'm so afraid the way I feel
Days when the rain and the sun are gone
Black as night
Agony's torn at my heart too long
So afraid
Slip and I fall and I die
Thank you for help with the lyrics. On my own, I'd just known one phrase...
Thank u 4 putting the words.awesome!
I always thought it was, To live and not fall in the dark, instead of slip and I fall and I die....

Oh! Your option was so much more optimistic! I'll try to.. hear it your way.. 😊
The solo in this tune Is absolutely amazing.Love it!
This concert was really something special.
Certainly agree with you, and i am in mid seventies as well
I am 27, and this is my favorite performance of the song. My Mom used to play the CD of this concert in the car when my sister and I were kids.
And me @ 81❗🔥
Lyrics that are gut wrenchingly honest and brilliant musicianship. Overwhelmingly beautiful.
Rest in Love, Christie Mcvie..🙏🏿❤
Jim Friendofashoe give a listen to the 1982 concert version, also will blow your doors off... the solo is quite different stylistically yet equally a masterwork of virtuosity talent and passion
full blown!
Aural orgasm !!
@@snowblind3838 "comfortably numb" and "on the turning away" can be on that top too as other pink floyd songs
This is the best live performance, if you can lead me to another that you think is better please leave a link. Cheers.
How does this not have millions of views!?
Because a million people haven’t watched it.
Rad stupid kids watches Travis Scott instead of this
2 million and counting
I don't know why , but I can guess , these youngster don't understand what music is, this is the music that never dies, just like pink floyd , dire strait , led zeppelin, the doors , sinatra , otis redding, nina simone ........
Heck yeah! Such an underrated guitarist! One of the best in my opinion!
he is good.
Mine too.
RUclips does not compare to his live shows,But this is great too
Todd's Backwoods Living! Just lookin back. Lindsey is BY FAR the BEST GUITARIST EVER! RIDICULOUS how he got kicked outta F.M.cuz of what he did to Stevie in 1987! Was OLD NEWS! They replaced him with TWO new guitarists (AGAIN)! I'm a woman.I had a man put his hands on me (ONCE) But to kick the BEST GUITAR player out of a band that he basically MADE? It just KILLS ME! I'll NEVER go to anothet F.M.concert EVER AGAIN! This "Me Too" movement is getting CRAZY, in MY eyes! SORRY!
Νίκος Κόντος -My bad! Thanks! And I thought I knew EVERYTHING about them! Guess I mis-read Mick Fleetwoods book. But isnt it FUNNY how they need to hire TWO new guitarists to replace Lindsey? And they've JUST done it AGAIN! They fire him NOW for putting Stevie's back against a car? NOW? VERY OLD NEWS! This "me too" movement is BORDERING on the RIDICULOUS & I'M A WOMAN!! This is the info I have anyway.
Lindsey Buckingham is an American musician, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist, what a great guitarist he is, wow
every time I hear the solo near the end it takes me to another world. thank you Lindsey thank you Fleetwood for giving me the chance to show my son what real musicians are
i literally cannot go back to the original version of this song after hearing this! perfection 👌🏻🤘🏻
Beautiful solo!!
No way this song was written in the '70s! Such a fresh sound! I' m a metalhead but this blew my mind...!
LB and SN’s voices were made 4 each other. And the little bit of harmony she sings in this song adds so much! And Lindsey WOW!! What an awesome guitarist he has become or always has been. He should at least b in the top 10 great guitarists on this planet!!
My very first concert in 1997! Absolutely loved it!! Was hooked on this song ever since!
WOW what a first show indeed! You LUCKY human....
@Jessica Schantz thank you! Even at the young age I was, I had never seen anything like it and to this day still never have seen such a real performance!
First concert wow nothing will ever be as good I'm afraid after this..
THIS song was the reason why I learned to play guitar. Incredible performance. Kicks ass - blows minds.
This and Big Love from The Dance are two of my favorite vocal performances of all time.
I've been alone, always down
No one cared to stay around
I never change, I never will
I'm so afraid the way i feel!!
So underrated spactucular musician
Mick Fleetwood's seriously underrated...
Your so right!
Everyone overlooks him dude. He rips 🤘
I’m pretty sure they’re in the rock n roll HOF
Funny you say that. Asking my father as a kid who was best.... always Mick
Buckingham even more underrated tho
Epic. Truly epic. One of my fave FM tracks, Lindsay's wailing guitar and the rhythm of drums and JMcV's pulsing bass is wonderful.
Thank you Lindsay.
this is what rock and roll is all about!
3:48 starts one of the best guitar solos every composed! Over 3 minutes of amazing!
ohh man,the feeling when you hear this beauty for the first time. I JUST DID 😁
Buckingham shines in this video, as brightly as a guitarist can shine.
Check out the 1976 Rosebud Film version, it's amazing and I think at a different tempo.
Awesome, awesome, awsome. Lindsey Buckingham knows his way round a guitar better than anybody else. I'm an 80s child but thank goodness my parents listened to this kind of music. Awesome ❤
Lindsey Buckingham is one of the best guitar players I've ever seen!
Goosebumps and tears....every time. The guitar just directly connects with my nerve endings....
The power of the drums and guitar..! Goosebumps over and over again!! Such emotions!🤟🔥
195Bucks
Yes of course - I was just keeping my reference in the context of the stuff he did with FM - hence the past tense.
Buckingham is a legend though way over looked!
bullyakker
He's not just under-rated as a a guitarist either.I can't think of anyone over the last 40 years that has been as successful or as good as a guitarist / musician, singer, songwriter and producer, in combination, as Buckingham.
bullyakker I couldn't agree more, I say that all the time!
1000% the best version of this song...ever.
I'm 30 and he's by far my favorite guitarist
