I'm trying to find a couple other background songs to use for these videos...but i just cant seem to find anything as good as the one Im currently using. If you guys know of any good ones, please let me know!

Any Queen song.
Lot of good chill music on SoundCloud. Anyways can you put that dungeon spreadsheet in the summary

My lvl Tip for all who dont care about World First.
Take your time and have fun in the game :)
exactly this.
yes, guides like this completely ruin your fun
Everyone comlaining that in BFA leveling is irrelevant, but want to rush thorught on classic. Take your time, traveller, do you professions and class quest. Enjoy even when it means you just jumping around duelling. It´s a game not a job
@@scrixdaasd4953 huh?
I was going to post this, but saw your post. Don't worry about guides or when you ding lvl 60. HAVE FUN and enjoy the adventure :)
You left out ALWAYS logging out in an inn for rest xp.
Absolutely. You never know when you might not be logging in for a while too sometimes, especially those of us who are adults with busier lives now. It's always good to come back to that 200% XP buff.
@Frank Even Valde Exactly, you can log when you ding 60

I'm just going to enjoy the journey which is what Vanilla was about.
yes...yes...exactly, finally someone who gets it..to each their own but no need to race !..! enjoy the adventure and the nestalgia all over again... I can't wait
I enjoyed the leveling a lot but it also frustrated me a lot. Vanilla for me was the end game. Those raids of 40 people against giant monsters that dropped those amazing epics. Downing Onyxia and Nefarian was the happiest I've been playing a video game.
Stinkmeaner I guess you think the leveling and raid progress on vanilla was as it is on current raid finder ;)
@@gomez13333 The raiding pretty much was, actually mechanically it was easier than raid finder is now.
@@Keiriks93 true
Yes, dont be distracted having fun in pvp, focus in the grinding chore of leveling. Thanks
When I first started in BC. I didn't know about mount training and saving gold. I would spend all my money on weapons and armor from the AH. I would buy white weapons from vendors. I would buy lots of Alchohol from inns because I loved the drunk effect on screen. That was until I hit level 40 and only had 20 silver to my name. I didn't have professions because I didn't know about them, so I decided to start over and actually saved my money. The game taught me a valuable lesson about money at a young age.
Because getting to 40 and being broke irl is exactly the same as wow. Sept you can't start over, lol
😂
Haha man I remember buying vendor whites too. As soon as it had an extra stat I'd need it.
Wasn't BC riding at 30? Also wouldn't it be more efficient to not start over since you get more gold from quests/mobs at higher levels anyway lol?
@@MrArteez Nope. 60% mounts became available at level 40 and 100% mounts at 60. And it stayed that way until cataclysm. And yes, higher levels can earn you more gold thanks to better equipment and rarer mats but the largest source of income after selling those to the AH were quest rewards. You had to work for money back then.
For me the biggest mistake is rushing your way to 60
lol noob
Rushing in a dead end 60 lock is what will end up boring and a waste of time in the end.
@@edgerunnerwhitelake3897 you realize how long it takes to get gear? also alts are a thing lmfao... why wouldnt u want to get your main to 60 asap, you trying to be undergeared i guess... you realize vanilla is about gear more than retail right? thats like saying in OSRS why are you chinning to 99 range or something similar. your being dumb if you think getting to max effeciently is not smart LOL
@@ImperviouslyGaming lol bro shut up he can play how he wants to you loser
@@ImperviouslyGaming I think you're missing the point of what I actually said. Also, dont try throwing heat onto me over your misunderstanding. I know all that vanilla entails and have been playing since the beta of vanilla release.
World pvp in places like stranglethorn was one of my favorite parts of vanilla wow.
Please punkrat I'm trying to forget about classic for 80 days but your videos keep popping up!
Big Boss hahaha 👌🏼 same here 😅
No worries boys, it’s not 80 days, only 76! ☠️
8.5 more days
Doing wpvp and Battlegrounds at the different level tiers is a big part of the experience for me.
During the leveling process i like to bg for a whole level during 19,29,39,49,and 59, just feels good to be the boss in those bgs lol
Back in vanilla i started doing battlegrounds at lvl 19 on a fresh server, and kept it up all the way to lvl 60. At lvl 58 i was in full champion gear running around in Western Plaguelands getting attacked by enemy lvl 60 players then kicking their ass like it was nothing. I was the highest ranked player on the server from lvl 19 to rank 12. It took about 2 months, and i was 2% away from Warlord when i stopped the grind because my guild started to raid in Molten Core. Sadly tho i will not be able to replicate this in classic, as battlegrounds will not be available at launch
@@gypsyviking2698 What class/race/faction?
@@gypsyviking2698 you can still replicate it. Just work on a lvl 19 twink while you wait for bgs to launch.
@@gypsyviking2698 battle grounds wont be around for classic but even better there will be world pvp o.o
Dont tell me to stay away from Stranglethorn. Hunting someone down for 30 minutes is satisfying AF and what I am looking forward the most :P
30 mins.... those are rooky numbers for a man hunt
Lol I remember 4 friends and I hunting a gnome for 3 hours. Best drunken wow time ever had.
psychopath Kappa
We formed a raid group today with like 13 people to clear out nesingwary's camp lol, they came back and killed a lot of us too
Imagine being that petty.
Wow! Absolutely awesome video, brings back a lot of memories, and I was nodding along with each and every tip... because I been there... great job, keep it up!
How about a dark moon fair overview that includes what items to save while leveling?
Second this!
Oh God, I forgot about Dark Moon Fair. Thanks for reminding me what a clusterfuck classic will be 😂
Totally agree that Stranglethorn Vale can slow down the leveling with getting sidetracked with world pvp. Its slowed me down considerably, but I wouldn't trade it for anything. Most fun zone in the game and worth every minute!
The biggest mistake is caring about level pacing lol
I don't personally care about how fast I level, but there are legitimate reasons to want to level fast. The biggest one is income as the first people to level up professions and stack up high demand materials can make a ton of gold very early on.
I agree
Exactly, With all these videos I ask myself: do these people even ENJOY playing the game?
I'm gonna waste time. Mess around and just generally enjoy being in the world. Screw racing to the end and then demanding a new server because you skipped a load of content to run Naxx for the 30th time.
@@PlaBrotheRHooD When it's the difference between competing against 10 or 200 other players in STV for quest mobs, I do care.
@@krausewitz6786 i've had years on private servers to mess around, i'm ready to level to 60 in 1 week and have a shit bucket in my room.
"If it moves, it dies." That has always been my WoW motto. It's the only way to get better gear and world drops.
R.I.P. thousands of harmless rabbits.
If it's red it's dead. In regards to other players. Regardless of level, but just once. Don't camp them unless they are camping others.
damn these videos are getting me so hypeddd for classic.
Me too!!!!
The end of august seems so far away. They really should have had it ready when the beta released.
I agree, but like everything else they do.... hopefully it will be well worth the wait
Classic will probably be shortlived though, everyone's already been through that adventure, it's going to be a race to 60, people will clear raids within 1-2 weeks of classic releasing, and on release date for later phases. It's going to be fun and i'm looking forward to it, but you'd best temper your expectations, it's not going to be THAT mindblowing.
I'm really looking forward to the grind though. And there will be content in 6 phases. it will take me a long time to make it to all of the dungeons! I'm just so sick of today's game
"dungeons dont give great xp in vanilla"
literaly everyone and their mother grinding dungeons on the way to 60, coz its like x4 officient then quests, unless youre a mage and you aoe grinding mobs for week straight
Right? Elite mob after mob, 50 feet away from each other... the whole way through the dungeon... why wouldnt i just grind out dungeons?
Important point: quests don't give less XP when they turn green. They only start giving less once they turn grey, by a percentage for every level higher you get. Green quests just give "less XP" because they give literally less flat XP than higher level equivalents, and you need more per level as you level up.
Just found your channel, Great tips. I’ve learned something from each video 😊
Never thought you'd play wow.
Why? Loads of woman play wow
@@timh5529 you dirty man
A good way to think about dungeon quests is that they are typically the climax of the stories in the zone they reside in. If there is a dungeon in the zone you are leveling, you are probably going to get the quests after completing some or all of the quest chains in the main questing hub area or notable areas around it. Don't neglect quests!
Speaking of quests, save yourself some trouble and do all of the quests you get at the same time before turning them in. More times than not quests are grouped together by area. The quests at the Crossroads in the Barrens are a perfect example of this. As long as you are completing all of the quests at the same time as you get them, you'll typically be working on them in the same area. It saves plenty of travel time. Plus, to me, its super satisfying to run back into town and see nothing but a bunch of gold "?" signs everywhere.
My most common mistake is having a job.

Never going STV before 40. Its just annoying. Just do the first hunting quests and come Back with 40 and you rush through the entire Zone in one Session.

Yeah, that Booty Bay fp..... I remember way back, when I started playing WoW. I was late getting started, a whole 6 months after launch! I went hunter, great having pets to protect u, a real pain having to run to stable masters to juggle ur pets and having all that pet food in ur bags. Loved it tho. But I just HAD to go get that Booty Bay fp at lvl27. I was so fresh at the time, I didnt know about the boat at Menethil, but I had heard so much about Booty Bay. So silly me tried to run all the way through STV. Yup, it was just as bad, as u imagine. Once past the first quarter of the way I was pretty much screwed. I was also committed, there was no going back, I was getting killed either way, so I figured, I might as well finish. After ½ hour or so, long past all my gear turning red, a high lvl player heading for the arena, having seen me get about 50 yards while dying at least 5 times (that dazed effect was horrible back then!), took pity on me. He escorted me the rest of the way to Booty Bay, showed me the fp and the boat and told me about the boats and airships. I dont remember his name, but that guy was a hero. I never ever made that same mistake again. I have a LOT of alts, coz I love trying it all on different classes/races. But I never ever EVER tried running through STV again. But damn, how I miss Vanilla. Everything was a lot harder back then, but it was a lot more challenging and hence to me a lot more fun. Im all giddy about Classic 😁
I don't get why people want to rush. Congratulations you're 1 out of 7 lvl 60. Thing is you're all hunters. The warrior that's gonna tank or priest that needs to heal for you is still lvl 44 getting ganked in tanaris
Gold farming
Yea as the guy said, farm devilsaur for 2 days and never need to GOLD farm again.
there are two big groups of levellers.
The powerlevellers, and the tourists.
The powerlevellers want to get to 60 as fast as humanly possible, while the tourists want to experience as much of each zone they like for as long as possible.
PS: I don't think "tourist" is a pejorative here, as I am certainly one of them :)
Great tips and reminders. A lot of leveling is up to personal preference, whether to rush through it or take time and enjoy all of the game. I am leveling my first toon in the classic reboot by reading all the quests, getting into the story, trying to get all the instance quests, basically taking my time to have fun and relearn the game. Now should I later want to level a different toon then I will be more interested in speed leveling.
Well done for getting over 10k subs. I think I started watching you around 3k. Awesome to see this great channel grow!!!!!

dude u deserve so many more subs !! just decided to play classic in the summer and have since been grinding all ur vids :)
What addon and font are you using for floating damage.
I remember leveling my paladin back in vanilla and i was stuck at 58-59 with no more quests available - i grinded silithus to get to max lvl (my very first character)
Final levels always ended up being atunement quests/thorium grinding for mining skill for me.
Pretty sure that was not in 1.12. They added a lot of new quests (including Silithus) over time. Have you counted dungeon quests? BRD alone has enough quests for 58 to 60 I guess (at least when including doing the dungeon 2 times to complete all the quests).
Great video man. Keep 'em coming!

Great info! I totally forgot about the Rez sickness, and I played vanilla. Also something I noticed is people forgetting to migrate updated abilities to their hot bar, they don’t auto upgrade as you learn.
I remember staying up for almost days grinding pvp for my armor
"Stranglethorn is the first real neutral zone in a certain way." ... Someone leans Alliance :P
Love the Jetset radio future music at the end, hell yeah.
Great video! I'm so hyped for classic =(
I would Instance Grind, instead of Mob Grind to help w/the lvl gap and to get the top tier items for your lvl; it's far better XP in the end, since it's boosted by group XP
Don't be scared to swap zones. Quests end fast and mobs give the same amout of exp in the same lvl zone.
Remembering from 15y ago I had an exact path of no-stopping quests. Elvyn, Westfall, lockmodan, peeks, duskwood, arati and hilsbrad, then Stranglehood valley, then swamps. Non-stopping questing saves a lot a gives a lot of items to sell.
Good video, looking forward to more leveling videos!
Leveling alts today, February 2023, in classic era, is the most relaxing thing to do. The race to end game isn't there since I have cleared everything already.

Most common mistake will be “leveling” instead of “playing” and enjoying the game. This will be a finite game. Why rush to the end?
Some people love raiding and this game only offers it at level 60 sadly.
A finite game?
This will probably be online for 10+ years if it goes well.
That's still finite, but a long fuuuucking time.
thx didnt play vanilla so this will help alot ! keep up with the good work
Nice video dude, loving your content so far. Keep up the good work!
If you have a solid group that can rush through dungeons. It’s gonna be the best way to lvl especially when all zones will be packed with retail players learning the game doesn’t hand you everything
Don't buy every spell when leveling, just buy the ones that you use the most.
Pumba for new people it would be hard to know which spells they will use the most.
Thank you for the video! Personally, I grinded mostly to gather mats to level a profession or to craft a specific item. Usually, there are 1-2-3 spots for this in every zone( like Yety cave near Tarren mill, another Yety cave in Feralas, turtle shore at Dustswallow marsh,....). As for leveling up, ones I did all easy and comfortable quests in a zone, I moved to another zone, even some mobs are already green for me there. (like going from Barrens to Sepulchere and back)
Speaking of flight paths: if you're horde leleving in hillsbrad/arathi go to Badlands and get a flight path there. This will allow you to fly from UC all the way to Grom'Gol and Booty Bay. Idk if there is a similar thing for alliance.
Title should be, "Most common mistakes made when trying to power level." I leveled far too many characters because I really enjoyed exploring each zone and then learning the different quests for each class in those zones. I mean I loved the exploration, and still remember the music that went along with changing areas in a zone. I really loved going through, getting a quest, reading it and trying to figure out how to accomplish it. As someone who got out of gaming long before WoW got out and only happened to learn about it through a free trial disc inserted in a Sports Illustrated subscription I was hooked from the moment I entered the world. Haven't touched it in eight years, but might have to download it just to check in and wonder around a little to bring back fond memories.
I see punkrat I upvote! Dude yours and madseason videos have been an oasis in the desert of classic- waiting.
Btw-would be fantastic if you to threw a video about the top punk rock tunes to play along while levelling. Might be demonetised but worths a go! Cheers

100% true. Just play the game. It's such a treat.

This is a cheeky reply, but it's wrong.
At least power levellers wont ruin the classic game by demanding more and more nerfs to the levelling process.
Reputation gain matters too. You need honored with your racial faction to get a 10% discount at the mount vendor. If you are human and want a dwarf faction mount, then you need exalted with Ironforge.
that last tip on rez sickness was gr8. cheers.
Awesome video man.
4:30 "Keep in mind that dungeons don't give great experience in Vanilla" LOL
*Looks at everyone level 30-60 in dungeons*
People on these vid guides have always said dungeons don't give great experience. I suppose it's semi true if you're taking into account the time it takes to find a group, travel there, potential wipes etc. However, if you've already got a group and you know what you're doing, farming a dungeon over and over again is a great way to xp grind and also make a buncha money. I see a lot of LFGs for SM farming, such an easy run and you get good drops and mats and easy xp. I love a good dungeon farm.
If you want to do dungeon then okay don’t forget to bring two spares so they can summon ya to each dun
the biggest cancer there will be in vanilla will be KNOWLEDGE!! the vast majority are going to know the game inside and out, as compared to in vanilla when the vast majority had never played a game like that ever!! i still think it will be fun and i am looking forward to it but it won't have the "magic" of the first time through!! looking forward to world pvp! also +1 on kill everything in sight for efficient leveling!
Love the JSRF music, and love the videos!
Good stuff man. Make more pleases!!!
I'm not going to rush anything I'm going to play a rogue and focus on getting as many kills as possible on my way to 60 🤷🏻♂️
One does not simply power level in Vanilla WOW. Enjoy the journey.
I recall grinding a level or 2 via killing mobs before moveing to the next quest area/hub.
Besides that a good rule of thumb to keep is the rule of three:
Dont pull 3 or more mobs at a time and dont pick a fight with anything 3 levels or higher.
For each level difference, there is a reduce in xp gained from killing the mob by 20% just for those curious.
I agreed with most of it, except dungeons. With a good group, and especially with quests. Dungeon leveling can be as fast, if not faster than level grinding on quests. Not to mention the sweet loot. I'd even say it's highly under-appreciated.
If you plan to go even a bit serious, for the launch I’d say pick one of these two strategies:
1) Go all in with gathering professions and accept your fate of being a bit slower leveler. However if you save all the ore/bars/herbs you’ll be rich once majority of people hit 60 and start leveling professions more.
2) Level fast without caring about gathering professions and try to buy everything off the AH for your main profession/professions always when you have the chance. For the first couple of weeks AH prices will be significantly lower and you’ll get mats rather cheap. More efficient way of leveling your character and main profession in my opinion. Also frees you to take for example enchanting as second choice instead of gathering.
With alts and stabilized economy it makes more sense to keep up with gathering tho. :D
They’ll actually be higher. Supply and demand are linked in an inverted way - one goes up, and the other goes down until the cycle is broken. At launch, good luck gathering anything or buying anything off the AH. People will be snapping everything up and putting it on the AH at higher prices.
Biggest tip, go Alliance because Human jokes are the best.
FOR THE HORDE!!!!
For banking issues, think ahead on names, characters etc and create an alt, one of each class. You can also attribute them professions in advance, so you can ship specific mats to them. For example, my Mage is tailor/enchanter, my druid is herbalist/miner, my warrior engineer/weaponsmith, my rogue is Leatherworker/skinner, my Hunter is Alchemist/skinner or herbalist, paladin a miner/armorsmith, etc.
Some jobs get overlapped, but I generally pick 1 profession for that character that would benefit them most, plus a gathering for that profession. That way you can level up your profession as you gather for it and xp.
You can very quickly reserve the names and do something similar at the start of a new server, get them into the capital by the bank, then level up with 1 main.
Got WW Axe at lvl30, now Thrash Blade and Flurry Axe (both with fiery weapon) at lvl45 on my warr :) makes thing sooo much easier and fun! Good tips, I'd just add that remember to have food/water also, it'll cost some silver but makes leveling much faster.

dungeons dosen't give great xp in Vanilla? It's 125% xp dungeon elite?
This video is kinda old, before ppl noticed just how good dungeon grinding is. Now theres guides how to grind them most efficiently. But you also need to think about 1 thing, in most dungeon grinds, you don't go for most bosses and perhaps not go to far inside the dungeon so you can easily get out and reset. Hes just speaking in general terms.
I mean if you compare to 1 person constantly grinding and questing, to someone who pauses that to find 4 other randoms to get together, all move to the dungeon then do it, you've lost ALOT of xp in that time. And 1 dungeon run won't cover it up. Besides what if someone is doing really poorly so u need to replace? or disconnects?
Let's all remember to play warsong gulch together. Quest and grind up to the high end of the level cap first, then play a bunch of games in all the tiers. Don't expect great rewards though; if I recall correctly, the reputation requirements were enormously high. You can get some ranked gear later on once you're leveled.
Remember to use your mouse to turn your character, not your keyboard! The strafe keys are useful, but you can free up a couple convenient hotkey spots by remapping "a" and "d".
Great video mate, cheers.
I don’t get it. All these people that loved their “authentic vanilla experience” are now all talking about spreadsheets that cane make the game linear and face roll for everyone and pathing and quests to make the game “easy”.
The authentic experience is about doing what you liked and figuring it out as you go... feels like Classic will be a disappointed with the way the internet is treating it.
Mister CoconutCurry If I could like this comment more than once I would just keep clicking like. I see this the exact same way you do
I only have about 6mths experience in BFA...
Never really enjoyed other MMOs but WoW is great... Its almost too much info at first. But luckily I loved WC games and Dota 1.
I will be a genuine Noob in Classic, and plan on just asking others for help if I get lost.
WoW Classic will not be a dissapointment thanks to people like you guys! And new players like me :)
Let the sweats sweat, we will be having fun!
just be like me and go into wow for the first time LUL
Hahaha that's so true!
I understand your logic, but think of it this way: this is a perfect example of that "what if I could go back with all the knowledge I have now" scenario. None of those spreadsheets or websites existed until very late in the games lifespan, most likely close to BC. This is like new game plus.
wish I could say I learned something new. great video nonetheless
To anybody worried about speeding through the game and losing fun. Theres nothing stopping you from starting an alt when your main caps and taking it as slow as you want. The first one is important for income/early raiding/server firsts/AH control etc etc etc
What i did before when levling my very first hunter, when i had reached Ogrimmar the very first time i took the Zeppelin to Undercity and did all the low lvl quest for starting zones just to get some free exp and up the proffesions. After this you could do the Tauren starting zones but thats if you are a die hard quest fanatic. still it will be easy exp. and you will come into the first easy duengons on both sides.
