Since my last comment got kinda lost in the last episode, I' ll ask again: Wouldn't it have been much easier to just keep the world eater running for a couple of more layers (without the sweepers) to just blow up every single non-bedrock block in the lowest levels? This would have removed everything except the lava lakes and the blocks that they shield, but these lakes could have easily been removed beforehand as well(easy to spot at night too, even if bedrock blocks the direct line of sight).
