If they end up making a Bruticus I PRAY they make them all voyagers and Onslaught a Leader so they can have the SIZE and BUDGET to be the best possible mainline representations of the characters

I may be biased, but I really want a Legacy Brutucus before an FOC as cool as that would be. As Voyagers I almost feel Onslaught would have to a Commander class similiar to Motormaster to accommodate all the combined mode. But either/or Combaticons please.
What's annoying about the fists in alt mode is that it's the perspective you usually see the car from in the game. Still, it looks like a lot of fun to play around with.
I mean not like you'll ever see it on the shelf backwards
The asymmetrical axe is also the main look for the axe in the war for cybertron ds version

I received mine!! The joints are fantastic! and I love it! Only down side is the hands in the back of the alt mode! But I can get over that. Absolutely great figure

It’s funny that you mention a spin attack, because in Fall of Cybertron’s ending, if you picked Megatron to fight Optimus, Optimus can use the very spin attack you stated that you wished was in the game.

I feel like there is plenty about the new one other then scale that beats out the old one. The thighs on the older ones alt mode looks worse to me then the hands in the back of the new one. I love the game designs and seeing as the new one is objectively more accurate and better articulated it’s definitely worth the upgrade for me.
agreed, the old one was good for its time but the new one is just so perfectly proportioned
I'm so happy we're getting WFC and FOC characters recognised in modern days and we have figures of them.
The high moon games are simply the best and everyone loves them, I think we'd all like to see them come back, either as a re-release or remaster - or have the prequel game, or "journey" from Cybertron to Earth game that high moon had planned.
As far as this figure goes, it's good - my only wishes are that he was taller to fit with the rest of the primes, and could hide the hip bumper better. Aside from that it's fine (trying to overlook the hollowness), but I'd have also liked if he had the metallic paint the promo art had as it's a bit misleading.
Lastly a removable matrix would be nice since he did have it out of his chest in the game.
Overall though it's a good representation!

I have the Original release but his size does make him look better with all the other war/fall of cybertron figures. Really happy to get them out of storage and play with them again. Hopefully Megs is even bigger than prime as i loved the original release but he is small

Also, now that I have seen the comparisons between this and the 2010 release I can't help but see that the 2010 one is too thin, but I live them both! ❤️
Ultra Magnus and Motormaster from the DS games would look amazing as toys. Even though the models looked terrible in the game, the character artwork still looked great.
Excellent review bro! Still so shook we're getting game figures in SS! This Optimus looks so good, but I'm not sure if I should get him full priced or wait, as I have the OG version. Same thing goes for Bee, but I'm debating if I should skip him entirely and get Cliffjumper instead.

Yes the voyager prime everyone who reviewed it said the robot mode is very solid and awesome but the back of the car mode at the back was an bit annoying looking but it’s ok and I haven’t watched the video am I at 2 mins

"Beefiest Prime we ever seen" would probably be Beast Hunters Optimus.
The original matches the concept artwork. This new version matches the final in-game model.

I’m looking forward to any future upgrade kit. Articulated hands, some covers for the thighs, a cover for the rear of the truck, and maybe a new axe? All would all be welcome improvements for an already excellent figure!!

I still really want a studio series Dark of the Moon leader class Decepticon Devcon because even though he got very little screen time he was such a massive and unique design with such a cool military alt mode
i do like the ss version more than the og release mainly head sculpt and shoulders i do think the og had a better alt mode though

I say the new one is a lot better than the original one. I had it when I was 6 and I had and still have issues with it. It’s head fell off so often that I eventually lost it, the gun got warped somehow in a move, and it’s a nightmare to pose. The new one has none of these issues and is super fun to pose and transform. I prefer the new transformation over the old one as well and plus the matrix is a great detail that I like
That happened to me too bro I much prefer this and rarely transform my Optimus primes anyways

I like the design and scale of the figure BUT i really hate the unfinished back, hollow legs and unfinished looking panels. I feel like a couple more QC passes during production would've made this figure awesome. I do like the axe and accessories.

I bought mine this morning when Amazon restocked on him. He'll be coming in on the 29th of May. This will also be my 4th Optimus Prime fingure overall.

I don’t own either the new studio series or classic one but I definitely like the look of the new one the best. Just my personal opinion. That head sculpt is immaculate

This is the version of a Cybertronian Optimus Prime that I need for my series and my collection. Also, I can't be the only person who thinks that video game Barricade's alt-mode looks a little like a Batmobile.

Optimus Prime: The Autobots Will Never Sacrifice Victory
I'm hoping they do make the FOC Combaticons and that they come out as voyagers. The deluxes from 2012 were 4/5 pretty decent (the reason I say that is because Onslaught was actually the weakest of them in my opinion) and Brawl had a tendency to fall over because his feet were small and he didn't have any heels. Having them as voyagers would definitely fix those issues and make for a better combiner in my opinion. They did that with POTP Predaking so why not do the same with the Combaticons? Finally, I hope they get released as a boxset because I'm not really a fan of how the combiners get released one piece at a time. It just makes completing the combiner So much harder.
I think it would be better to have them all as deluxes and Onslaught as a voyager. They would 100% get more sales and its definitely more likely.

Between the Revenge of the Fallen and War for Cybertron Game era, I think they were near Masterpiece-grade, apart from the lack of die-cast parts. They were the best in those days.
I love this figure, I don't care about the fists hanging in the back in the alt mode because i'm not displaying him backwards. I give this a solid 7.5-8/10
I like this figure! Really wish the vehicle mode had an extra panel to close up the back of the truck so that it could hide the arms!

To potentially hide the hands in alt mode, take off the right forearm and then with the empty space, bend the left arm at the bicep, I haven’t tried it yet as I don’t have the figure, it’s just a thought
The only drawback and complaint I have for the figure is the way rear view looks in vehicle mode but everything else is just amazing.

I have some 2010 WFC series Transformes _(OP, BEE):_ awesome robots and alt mode, intricate transformation...
But, beside the side and the weapons I like my Deluxe Class figures way more.

Where I do understand where you're coming from in regards to the back of Prime's vehicle mode, let's be real here.. Are you 'really' going to display him on your shelf with the back of his vehicle mode facing forwards? Or even in vehicle mode for that matter?
The minor bits of missing detail aside, I think he's a great figure, I can't wait for mine to show up on my doorstep. I'm hoping we'll get Megatron at some point, because I sadly missed out on the O.G deluxe from back in the day.

My copy is missing silver paint for the left leg, it’s just blue. Should I return it and get another one?
I guess you didn't notice that you could use the two slots on the handle just below the ax blade to attach it to the ion blaster in vehicle mode. It looks more centered that way and you can open up the double-sided axe for symmetry.
Where was this figure 13 years ago? Lol a VERY solid figure from 1 of my favorite TF sublines. And like the rest of you I PRAY we get Bruticus. After SS Devastator and Legacy Menasor GE Bruticus is like 99.9% possible
7:07 Pu…Pu…Putitinmyass. I feel like if the scaled up the deluxe class of old, modernized it and slightly retool it so that some bits cleaned up better, it would have been a way better option. It would save them on cost since they won’t have to design a figure from scratch which means they’ll have more budget for paint and hollow gaps.
Idk if this is a common problem, but my gun hand came very loose to the point where it came off EVERY TIME I transformed it. And the waist too, super shaky.
