Metroplex calling Optimus the 'Last Prime' sends chills when you realize that the previous primes and Autobots had dwindled significantly in numbers, and that Optimus was their last hope. Megatron commenting on how the autobots relied on a Cargo ship to escape truly shows how the Autobots had to use whatever they had at their disposal, having to fight and put up with so many sacrifices that the sacrifice of Metroplex was even needed for a low tier ship. The Ark was all they had in order to travel into a vortex they knew not a single thing about.
