Im so glad this game is being given attention. The Cybertron games are the best transformers games ever made. When this game first came out I was in my early teens just discovering the awesome series known as Transformers G1. I fell in love with the classic Transformers series and when I played this game it felt like a throwback to my favorite series. I especially love the second game Fall of Cybertron. It feels like the ultimate game for G1 fans and it even uses Stan Bush's song for the end credits scene. So much nostalgia packed in one game and it's a shame we don't have a remaster of these games. If they remastered both of these games and put them together in one package I probably wouldn't play any other game for months.
I'm so glad this game is getting a second wind and the attention it always deserved, that multiplayer really was a place and time you had to be in when it was at its peak.
You people have no idea how nostalgic this is for me. I have beat this game many many times and played possibly hundreds of hours years ago. I still have the War for Cybertron, Fall of Cybertron, and Rise of The Dark Spark. The entire trilogy.
I’ve gotta say I did not expect to see this here but I’m so glad. This game and fall of cybertron are my childhood and I don’t think I’ve ever cried more knowing the servers were offline. Thank you so much and I can’t wait to see more of these. Maybe fall of cybertron or the rest of war for cybertron?
Hears Nolan North yelling for reinforcements at 5:46 made me backtrack the video. Must have been a high budget game at the time to get fricken Nolan in on this
This game is amazing, but Fall of Cybertron is even better. FoC is legitimately one of my all time favourite games and I would easily pay full price for a WfC remaster or at least a port like FoC got.
war of cybertron is so much better than fall, fall is so overhyped because more people played it as their first game due to this game being overshadowed by its launch competition.
War and Fall are two of my favorite video games of all time. Though Fall I think is mechanically superior. I just had a lot more fun with the transforming mechanics it presented, especially in MP. I never gravite to flying in shootert games, but Fall of Cybertron AIrbots I found myself having fun with doing Highspeed dogfights, and transforming mid air as enemies past me then transforming back was sick as hell. It's a shame that this series ended with two games, I feel like if they ever had of made a third game and it just stuck with the theme it would have done great, No worries about being tied into whatever else was happening at the same, shame really, Oh well duology for life.
this game is basically the reason im a transformers fan,and we seriously need remasters of this and fall of cybertron.i doubt we'd get a third game but..ill settle if these two games come back with the multiplayer,im so glad to this these games are getting traction again cause like you said they are terribly underrated
In case anyone is curious, the voice actor for Megatron in this game is Fred Tatasciore. He's the same guy who regularly voiced the Hulk in various Marvel Comics projects.
Makes me happy to see someone talk about a game I loved when I was younger. I still clearly remember the the out of bounds glitch that inflated my K/D. Only one guy ever managed to get me there. Good times.
Is there a way to play it on PC anymore? I had it on X360 but I would love to buy it digitaly on steam etc. but it appears that it is not on valve's store
The aligned Transformers continuity brought us some of the best Transformers content with ever gotten WFC game's and Transfomers Prime...But it also gave us R.I.D 2015 and rescue Bot's,Bruh
Remember it? I make it a POINT to fully play through it and it's sequel every friggin month, THAT'S how much I love it. The third one not so much but the first two? Amazing shooters.
I don’t just remember it, It continues to live in my heart. I actually attempted to return to the game and Platinum WFC and FOC, but my soul was torn when I realized they shut down the servers. Now all I have are the plethora of amazing memories…
*Starscream kisses up to Megatron* "What a simp!" I snorted out loud IRL at that one! It's SO true, though! X'D This vid is SO funny and awesome! This game actually does look quite fun! Would be super cool if they brought this and the sequel to Switch (we don't speak of the third one, lol)!
I love these two games ( namely fall of cybertron and war for cybertron) and I'd like to play the new fan servers but getting a hold on any version of the games, digital or physical is nearly impossible and EXTREMELY expensive. Its a shame I only learned a=of them after they were already removed from steam.
thanks for uploading this. i have been replaying my father's ps3 games from when i was young, and now i've gotten to really appreciate them, but not this one because once our house got broken into and they stole the ps3 with this game inside, so i never got to replay it. this has unlocked many memories for me from when i was little. thank you so much
As someone who is scarily obsessed with transformers but has only played two of the newer ish games I almost lost it whenever I saw a video about this.
I've just finished playing this game on my steamdeck. Thank you for showing this game some love, God knows it needs it. The transformer games were my first PS3 games. It's great to see that people still have fond memories of this game
MAN I loved this game, everything about it, the style, the graphics, the kinda clunky camera movement, that how much they tried not to make transformations just a gimmick, THE FACT YOU COULD DISMANTLE TURRETS FOR THEIR MINIGUNS. Man what a blast that was.
This this day the Fall of Cybertron (I believe is the sequel for this game) is still one of the best trailers I have ever seen, that "Humbling River" playing is just so goddamn good
Remember it? Buddy there's never a moment where I DON'T remember it, it and Halo Reach were my first Xbox 360 games and there's not a moment where I LONG for something even as simple as a port to current gen.
Its such a awesome game, I did love this Series, The War and Fall of Cyberton. (though Fall is alot better) Its a shame that Licencing Issues, forced the game to die, and you can no longer get it digitally, because it was a great series. and if you was a fan of the Original Cartoon It was a love letter to it.
2:35 No actually, they can't. It varries from writer to writer and story to story and universe to universe but all Cybertronian's have a natural Cybertronian alt-mode upon forging/sparking/birth/whateveryouwanttocallit and while they do have the ability to scan other objects and take their form, they're restricted by mass and type. For example, one that turns into a car like Bumblebee can only scan similarly sized wheeled vehicles, one that turns into a jet like Starscream can only scan similar sized aircraft, one that turns into a helicopter can only scan other similarly sized helicopters, ect.
I remember raging so hard in that one mission in this game. It was on the Autobots side when they were trying to rescue Omega Supreme. You are trying to hide behind cover to shoot the Decepticons and Ratchet decides that the best place to heal Omega is out in the open in the middle of the fucking courtyard Still, this and FoC, best Transformers games ever
This game and Fall of Cybertron are games worthy of a Remastered or Anniversary Edition. Two of the best games ever developed. Please remaster these games! 🥴😭
"This is what the force unleashed was for star wars" that's accurate as hell. Except the sequel (fall of cybertron) did way better than force unleashed II 💀
My dad got me into gaming with the N-64 in the 90s and this is the last game I played Co-Op with my him before his vision got too bad. I love this game just for that alone. But over all when you rattled off the 2010 games I realized how good we had it back then.
Aw man. This game is awesome. It's been so long since I last played it. It's been 12 years! I really wish there were more transformer games like this one. Other than Fall of Cybertron I mean.
More multiplayers maps and bigger ones, longer campaigns, coop, and escalation had more than 15 waves. Liked the aesthetics, but foc has better mechanics overall.
Okay, that 2010 lineup is insane. I'd totally forgot my favorite Halo and Fallout came out the same year. What's crazy is all those titles that're so legendary now in retrospect at the time it seemed quite normal releases.

We would absolutely need a remaster or remake of this game because it was so awesome
Easily my favourite out of all the games, wished they made more and kept improving them
It woulda eventually turn to shit the way gaming has progressed in the last 7 years..🤦🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️
@@reallyhimongod not really.this game is just really good game anyways
“All hail Megatron” “Do not speak unless spoken to”
Im so glad this game is being given attention.
Nah ROTF multiplayer is indescribably the best
@@PoIarisPrime i wouldnt play it bro :(
@@romuloprieto2529 sure, but it is the best
I'm so glad this game is getting a second wind and the attention it always deserved, that multiplayer really was a place and time you had to be in when it was at its peak.
Dude this game is a Beautiful gem! I used to play this with my friends all the time! I wish they would make more transformers games today.
"Yoy could BEE anything you want to BEE my guy why would you wanna be a smart car" he said to Bumblebee, excellent pun
this game looks phenomenal for the time and it STILL holds up pretty well
You people have no idea how nostalgic this is for me.
Maybe fall of cybertron or the rest of war for cybertron?
keyword. 'were'
@@serPomiz they still are but there’s a mod
You can play Wfc and foc online now
@@MDKojo on console?
Hears Nolan North yelling for reinforcements at 5:46 made me backtrack the video. Must have been a high budget game at the time to get fricken Nolan in on this
This game is amazing, but Fall of Cybertron is even better. FoC is legitimately one of my all time favourite games and I would easily pay full price for a WfC remaster or at least a port like FoC got.
war of cybertron is so much better than fall, fall is so overhyped because more people played it as their first game due to this game being overshadowed by its launch competition.
@@pododododoehoh3550 I'm sorry but you're just wrong

I played the absolute hell out of this game. Thanks for the nostalgia trip.
this game is basically the reason im a transformers fan,and we seriously need remasters of this and fall of cybertron.i doubt we'd get a third game but..ill settle if these two games come back with the multiplayer,im so glad to this these games are getting traction again cause like you said they are terribly underrated
In case anyone is curious, the voice actor for Megatron in this game is Fred Tatasciore. He's the same guy who regularly voiced the Hulk in various Marvel Comics projects.
Man this game was so stacked. Thank you for jogging my memory with this!
Makes me happy to see someone talk about a game I loved when I was younger. I still clearly remember the the out of bounds glitch that inflated my K/D. Only one guy ever managed to get me there. Good times.
I recommend this game to everyone with a pc, or a ps3 or an xbox I played this all the time as a kid, it's so much fun, I'm glad you're covering it :D
Is there a way to play it on PC anymore? I had it on X360 but I would love to buy it digitaly on steam etc. but it appears that it is not on valve's store
@@simus479 amazon
@@simus479 Just grey market key sites at this point, cheapest I've seen is £60 on G2A, the rest are in the hundreds.
“ I tripped.. “ - Megatron, leader of the decepticon’s and champion of the pits moments before death.
This game and fall of cybertron will always have a place in my heart :>
The aligned Transformers continuity brought us some of the best Transformers content with ever gotten WFC game's and Transfomers Prime...But it also gave us R.I.D 2015 and rescue Bot's,Bruh
This game was an absolute gem, i remembered playing it and i miss it very much aswell, like it was so good I wish it was still alive.
Damn. Childhood game right here. It was actually very fun and challenging as a kid.
Remember it? I make it a POINT to fully play through it and it's sequel every friggin month, THAT'S how much I love it. The third one not so much but the first two? Amazing shooters.
We all miss that game. I wish it could come back.
50 bucks on Amazon for FOC, that's a tall order money wise but it's there and might be cheaper than picking it up secondhand
I got it on Steam after it was removed thanks to a Steam Key. I bought it from a site.
@@kyleRayn what site?
thanks for uploading this. i have been replaying my father's ps3 games from when i was young, and now i've gotten to really appreciate them, but not this one because once our house got broken into and they stole the ps3 with this game inside, so i never got to replay it. this has unlocked many memories for me from when i was little. thank you so much
As someone who is scarily obsessed with transformers but has only played two of the newer ish games I almost lost it whenever I saw a video about this.
This is my childhood game, I love this game so much and I finally am happy this game is getting noticed
OH MY GOD THIS GAME AND FALL OF CYBERTRON WAS MY CHILDHOOD
I've just finished playing this game on my steamdeck. Thank you for showing this game some love, God knows it needs it. The transformer games were my first PS3 games. It's great to see that people still have fond memories of this game
I do for sure! Great game that could really do with a blue point style remake
I'm glad these games are having comeback. Absolutely loved them.
‘No prisoners’ and blasting them infront of their captors might be more Megatron than even Megatron
It is such a shame these games were removed from digital marketplaces like Steam. Would have loved to play this with friends after seeing your video.
This and Fall of Cybertron were 2 of my favourite games when I was growing up. Wish it was still living
This game was so damn good, I wish I played more of it when it was popular lol
Can’t believe Kevin forgot to name off Poptropica
Its such a awesome game, I did love this Series, The War and Fall of Cyberton. (though Fall is alot better) Its a shame that Licencing Issues, forced the game to die, and you can no longer get it digitally, because it was a great series. and if you was a fan of the Original Cartoon It was a love letter to it.
I played this one fall of cybertron and the dark spark for the ps3 when I was like 6. Loved them to death and played them over and over.
The multiplayer was AWESOME back in the day! literally one of the most fun multiplayers i have ever played may be its just nostalgia idk
God, 2010 was an amazing year for games.
I remember raging so hard in that one mission in this game. It was on the Autobots side when they were trying to rescue Omega Supreme. You are trying to hide behind cover to shoot the Decepticons and Ratchet decides that the best place to heal Omega is out in the open in the middle of the fucking courtyard
Still, this and FoC, best Transformers games ever
This game was so cool and HIGHLY underrated. A shame many slept on this game.
Loved that game sooo freakin much.
The MP from the second wasn't as fun.
2:30 "yo why was he a smart car"" 💀
Aw man. This game is awesome. It's been so long since I last played it. It's been 12 years! I really wish there were more transformer games like this one. Other than Fall of Cybertron I mean.
3:00 mins in “this is like forced unleashed meets Star Wars “ was the most accurate thing to say I could think of
I prefer this over the sequel, I just love its design and simplicity
More multiplayers maps and bigger ones, longer campaigns, coop, and escalation had more than 15 waves. Liked the aesthetics, but foc has better mechanics overall.
oh my god i remember playing this back in 2014, man i never was able to complete this and was basically clueless but did get far
War for cybertron and fall of cybertron were really good, Rise of the Dark Spark was pretty bad compared to the 2
most of the “main line” games were pretty lack luster
RotDS is pretty bad compared to anything
I lost my shit when you started smacking that robot at 13:07 lmao
This game was amazing. The online component was so much fun. The Transforming animations and fluidity were so good.
Okay, that 2010 lineup is insane. I'd totally forgot my favorite Halo and Fallout came out the same year. What's crazy is all those titles that're so legendary now in retrospect at the time it seemed quite normal releases.
God i loved war for cybertron and fall of cybertron i really wish they would remastering them for pc the campaign was amazing and the multiplayer was great
one of my favourite games back in the day
The Cybertron games were so much better then they had any right to be
The story and gameplay is very good especially the story I love it
Fun fact High Moon studios the guys who made the successful war and fall of cybertron games also worked with Bungie on Destiny 2 Forsaken dlc and when I played the prison of elders strike for the first time , I was like this all too familiar and let's just say I was very happy to here they helped design some levels and strikes with Bungie .
War for cybertron was my childhood
The opening cutscene for the game took me wayy back to when I frst played this game over 12 years ago. Honestly one of the best Transformers games of the early 2010s for the Xbox
