IF YOU'RE CONSIDERING BUYING THESE PLEASE READ THIS:
I purchased these as a substitute for the air pods this Christmas. Everything you mentioned in this video is correct, however it seems you did not notice the thing that was the biggest deal breaker for me. The way that the Bluetooth works on this device, with one earbud being the main receiver and then transmitting that signal to the other, results in a delayed audio. This means that if you like to watch videos, movies, etc., the audio will be out of sync and you will be hearing the words come out of someone's mouth about a quarter of a second after they say it. This was frustrating enough for me that I forked up the $159 for the Apple branded ones and have not looked back since.

Mine don’t do that. But I bought the sound mates from wal mart. So maybe different from the replica ones y’all bought but look exactly the same. I use them to travel with so I don’t lose my apple ones. I like them and think the quality where it counts is the same. If you are looking for a cheaper version as a back up or for affordability I would recommend sound mates version.

There’s a method to them. If your blue tooth is on before you sync your buds it does the delayed sound. Sync pods first then turn on your Bluetooth. It then will work normal. I guess it’s a glitch but easy to get around that glitch. It atleast works for me.

I actually have the airpods with my S8 and love them. I did have an iPhone when I got the airpods back in January 2017, but they still work very flawlessly with my Android
really? i didn't buy the airpods because i didn't think they'd work well with android, i got the new jaybird instead.. oh well, maybe next generation haha
Yeah they work great actually. There are 2 main features they miss, but it's not a deal breaker imo. They lack the instant pairing method that they get on iOS, and they lack the instant pause/play from when it detects if it's in your ear or not. But me loving them so much might have to do with not being a big fan of in-ear pods with the silicone, those kind of give me a headache. Still, overall they work fantastic and flawless on android if those features aren't a deal breaker to you

I have had these for about a year (knock off) and I have a huge connectivity issue. They go in and out about 10-15% of the time, and if I put my phone in my back pocket the connection goes in and out about 70% of the time. I also have a problem with keeping them paired. Sometimes they will randomly go into pairin mode and have to be re paired with my phone. Another issue is that the left ear will be out of sync with the right one. But I think for the cost they are still pretty good for the cost. As long as I keep them in the side pocket.
If I could get AirPods for 40$, I'd immediately do nothing about it.

Hey Lewis, can you take them out for a walk around town, I find that wireless ear buds start disconnecting once I am out side because there are less surfaces for the Bluetooth signal to bounce off; I bought the bluedio headphones you recommended and they frequently lost signal once I stepped out side; as well as the single bud headset your recommended in the past. This product looks cool, but I'd like to know how they perform when not sitting in the house or office before I pick up a pair. Also going forward it would be nice for any Bluetooth head sets/ear buds you check out, to take them for a spin out side in the city and maybe an even more open space like the park, to confirm the Bluetooth reliability; that way they are really put through their marks.
I used to have i9s,which is very very identical to the AirPods case and the AirPod themselves,I've had them for a while and when I got the official AirPods,there weren't a big difference,only just a slight sound and fit size

I bought a pair of these from Walmart online and am satisfied. Take note I am not an audiophile and don’t listen to music much if at all on my phone. I got them to listen to videos and such and for my purposes I couldn’t justify the price of the Apple earbuds. You seemed puzzled by having to turn on both earbuds together. The design of just having 1 bud turned on is to use it as a Bluetooth earpiece for phone calls. If you have both earbuds turned on Siri doesn’t work right and you can’t give voice commands.
If you go to Walmart there are sound mates airpods and they are a copy of airpods for $40 and they sound great.

I was in Shenzhen yesterday, you buy these for 5$. Me and my friends blindtested them, hard to tell the difference. 40$ is still a complete rip off. Regular ones sell at 1$.
Already bought AirPods with employee discount but if I didn't have the discount, I'd consider giving them a try since they're only $40. Only thing that makes me a bit annoyed is having to keep them away from Wi-Fi. I'm assuming they'd get some sort of interference or something to that extent but considering most of the places I go these days have Wi-Fi already, they'd probably be useless for me, them cutting in and out constantly while so much as being near any Wi-Fi network.
