I've been trying to get RUclipsrs to do a hang challenge on a large diameter bar but Adam's bar at the end of the video is insanely hard because the diameter is so big.

one of the most important reasons why adam is the GOAT seen here- he is absolutely obsessed with climbing. you can tell he could literally talk about optimum nail length for climbing for like six hours

I think Magnus could podium at world cups if he trained and wanted to do it. He’s that good still.
That 5 second hanging was definitely impressive. Maybe he doesn't have the versatility of some competitive athletes, but he's a undoubtedly among the elite

Also I find it very impressive that Adam is trying so insanely hard on everything even in training - power screams included ;D I begin to understand how he could become the insanely strong climber he is today.
Only wish there were more gyms that still have spray walls like that for us mere mortals going to commercial gyms to set a few boulders of our own too
Just that Adam did a lot more climbing before those challenges. But yeah, Magnus was one of the best during his competition phase aswell, and it still shows.
@@walterlotte4215 but even during climbing he could keep up, not in terms of endurance sending these boulders repeatedly, but actually doing some moves before adam did - after all Magnus has never been a boulderer.
Kinda wish I took advantage of the spray wall at my local gym before they replaced it with a Tension Board. I didn't really understand what it was for at the time
Adam is such a joyful person. He is pure energy and such a pleasure to watch.

Well the guy is an elite climber in his peak form, long legs, long arms, somewhat short torso and climbing is his life basically so yeah he is strong and powerful.

Man, Adam's rage when he's about to start on a boulder is just electrifying. You can feel the energy through the Screen, what a legend.
I started watching Magnus channel two weeks ago, went to a wall for the first time last friday. bought a little pair of shoes. I had no idea of the spirit of the climbers. And sur Adam looks completely paranormal... I never knew this kind of energy could flow in a person. It's crazy how inspiring all these performances and exchanges are.
It's actually rocking my world, and i just came up with the joke myself, so thanks for not judging me ;-)
A little tip from a classical guitar player for nails strength. You are much better off filing your nails rather than cutting them, you can use nail polish or even better nail hardener to avoid splitting your nails. I don't know why, but filing your nails, other than avoiding sharp corners that can cause them to snap, if you are diligent it will thicken them and make them endure much more flexing stress. :)
I honestly think Magnus would still ace the national circuit. That would make a great video of him just turning up.

One of the best episodes ever in my opinion. It really showed how Adam and Magnus love to train hard and push their limits.
This video is amazing. But the absolute best thing is Adam running to the start holds for every single attempt.
Sometimes I just need a dose of Magnus, and then I'm happy again.
These videos with Adam Ondra are honestly starting to feel like some form of documentary, and I'm genuinely enjoying them because of it. They are really giving an insight into Ondra as a person, what he does and thinks. Maybe this is good to know and you could do similar videos with other climbers. You have such a massive platform now, but it still has such an open and personal feel. I feel like videos made by you would give such a more open and honest look at people than big documentaries would ever be able to achieve,

So happy this collab worked out, you know, when something is long anitcipated the pressure is high and then it's hit or miss. This is definitely a massive hit! We knew that Magnus can go along with anybody but it's such a big relief that Adam is clearly having a lot of fun that makes everything so smooth.
It's crazy to see how precise Adam is. It's like every movement is only made with what is needed.
Love the drone shots and cityscape shots - really gives you a nice feel for where the video is taking place.
Context for the non-climbers: these guys are doing reps on stuff that’s graded above most gym going climbers
I used to powerlift, and the strength of these guys blows me away. The coordination combined with that strength makes them in my humble opinion, some of the best athletes in the world. Really impressive.
It's insane. It's literally every single part of their body from their toes to finger tips. No other sport that I can think off the top demands what this one does. They have to have wild endurance plus the ability to create explosive movement out of nothing. Impressive is the right description.

Thank you Magnus for this truly amazing collab. Of course it was interesting to watch you and Adam doing all of these intense strength challenges, but just seeing you two interact was heartwarming. I suppose there aren't very many top tier climbers that have climbed since 2000 and 1999 like you and Adam, so I imagine that it made the connection between the two of you even more uniquely satisfying.

One of my favorite moments in Adam's silence video is where he's horizontally campusing those horrible slopers and I show it to everyone I can when I'm describing how nuts Adam is. Magnus holding those for 5 seconds really shows how strong he is. Awesome video, looking forward to the next one

@@leoingson Ah! I don't think he does any horizontal campusing on the actual route, just in the gym. He did, however, say that all his training was targeting specific moves on the route. Perhaps the horizontal campusing was training for the moves he he does around 11:15 in the video?

That's true! If you watch his older vids it seems like he used to do a lot of varied calisthenics exercises. Maybe that's where the chest development came from.
