    How often can you steam? Does it only work until you wash again? Or does it give it longer life for a while? Thank you!!!

    Yesss! I've been doing this for a year now and really extends the life of a wig. Those steamers are hard to find now and the has gone up due to popularity! I'm using the Joy Mangano steamer from QVC and it's ok but the long slim nozzle would be great to go inside the roller.

      Have you taken a look at piping for fish tanks they carry many different gauge of piping, I think with a bit of tweaking it could work.

    Thank you for your review I just purchased the same steamer and love it. Can you please do a tutorial on how to apply your lace front with dark wigs. I’ve seen you with very dark colors and you can’t see the lace. I got called out on my lace and was very embarrassed. I thought I did a good job with Itstays but with dark wigs it’s hard

      Dark wigs are hard. Some are pluggy looking and some arent. I often wear a bang or side swept bang if the knots show at all.

    Hello to you, I was just wondering if we could use a clothes steamer .... does a wig steamer and a clothes steamer do exactly the same job on a wig I do not want to damage my wig ...... I plan to buy one because often the wigs I receive have some creases and I would like to correct them ...... thanks a lot for this video .. ..

    • @FabricatingFringe

    Thank you for the info. If I have a curly wig that I want to keep curly, how do I do this?

    Awesome idea!
    BUT please tell us... Does it do the same thing on human hair? (ie. HH topper)

    • @FabricatingFringe
      @FabricatingFringe  6 лет назад +1

      It's meant for synthetics, but for Human Hair, I highly recommend a deep conditioning treatment.

    Will this work on human hair extensions? Mine are starting to look crispy at the ends😑

    • @FabricatingFringe
      @FabricatingFringe  6 лет назад +2

      I would do a deep conditioning treatment on your human hair!! Possibly a little trim too!

    I steamed my Zara and there are spots that look crimped. I’m guessing it got damaged when my steamer was spitting. Any suggestions? Thanks so much

    • @FabricatingFringe

      hmmmm did you use a fine tooth comb? do you think you stretched the fiber?

    • @melissaann5272
      @melissaann5272 5 лет назад +1

      Fabricating Fringe l actually resteamed the spots lightly and it’s fine. I love the Zara steamed. Perfection

    I burned up my Raquel Welch Editor's Pick wig by flat ironing it at 450 degrees instead of 350 degrees. I remembered temperature safety wrong. 😪 It ruined the curl pattern and it's dry and frizzy. Do you think steaming could restore it or once you scorch them they're too far gone? Thanks in advance for your help and time.

    But does this work with human hair??

    • @FabricatingFringe
      @FabricatingFringe  6 лет назад +2

      This is created for synthetic fibers... for human hair, it gets dry because of loss of moisture... I would do a deep conditioning treatment. I did a vid on it!
