Good stuff, but I would never risk using a tan sau against a hard, fast hook. Lueng Ting has awesome power but a few "flaws" if I could call them that. Jamming with the leg is good but having your leg out like that puts you at a risk for a take-down. Ip Man wing chun suffers from this as well. My understanding is that to minimize this risk you should occupy the opponent's center (like jamming with the leg) only after you've dazed your opponent. But either way, wing chun is a genius system with so many applications, practically endless if you have a good fighting IQ and creativity/imagination. I believe the forms have so much to offer if you can discern them with a keen eye.

Ufc is a biassed sport fighting modality, with rules and regulations that only favours wrestlers, graplers, boxers, and judocas. Wing Chun / wing Tsung / Ving Chun is for self defense and real fighting.

Wing Chun doesn't work in a street fight and jujitsu doesn't work either in the street as you're going to get kicked in the head rolling around on the floor. All good in competition but that's it .

@@justinbunting3027You have done for 20 or more do not mean you have experienced a street fight with the Wing Chun. When you haven’t been trained & practiced, how can you say that you experienced? Work or not work is not the form of Wing Chun or any other styles. It’s the person who makes it work and effective. That’s why we called them “Masters”. You’ve done for 20 years, but I’ve done for more than 50 years and I still thought that it’s my 2nd year learning. Do you think that everyone on the streets is a big guy of UFC or MMA fighter? Enough is enough, knowing how to swim can save own and even others lives in water and you don’t need to be a gold medal winner in the Olympic Games!
