Hi FOMO, great analysis again! Here in Canada, big price difference between these TV's in their 98' versions (street price: 5k$ vs 8K$). Hisense 100' U8N sits in the middle at 6,5K$ and the 100' U76N is not mini-led (no 100' U7N available). Last year's Hisense U8K was better at upscaling 720p and 1080i content than the 2023 TCL QM8. Seems this year's QM7 is very capable. What do you suggest in the 98'-100' versions of these TV's for low resolution OTA Sports (720p) and 4K steaming?
TCL prices have been crazy lately. 65" QM7 has stayed around $1000. Currently the 65" U7N is $700. Is the QM7 noticeably better than the U7N? Mainly used for gaming and streaming content.

Not exactly. I’m not sure about the 805, but the c755 is a slightly lesser model than the QM7. The c855 sits somewhere between the QM7 and QM8. (At least if you look at dimming zones and brightness, worth checking other specs you’re interested in to be sure.) There is potentially a c955/x955 that is more similar to the QM8 but it’s not available in most regions, and it’s still not exactly the same as the QM8. Not sure why they make so many different ones but the different TVs in different regions are not exactly comparable.
8:32 The B9 doesnt have better blooming control but rather the QM8 chooses to produce a brighter image. In the full comparison you did with the same scene but runner from the side the B9 has way more blooming around the runner than the QM8. Somehow, reviewers dont mention this. Not a TCL fanboy but the truth is the truth. Ive seen this over and over again in most scenes.
I still think it's ridiculous to recommend the QM7 over the QM8 for almost anyone. At BestBuy right now the QM8 is $1,000 and the QM7 is $700, this is the sale price for both TVs. Yes, that's a "50% difference", but $300 is basically nothing in the land of television prices, and when the QM8 is giving you over double the dimming zones and 3X more brightness the value proposition of the QM8 is just phenomenal. The QM8 will stand the test of time, OLED isn't reaching that level of performance any time soon, oppositely the weaknesses of the QM7 are already apparent and in a few years it will look like a "cheap TV".
I feel the same way. Unless you get an especially good deal on the QM7. They’re not exactly the same, but in my region we have TCL c755 and c855 instead and the price difference is so small that I wouldn’t even consider the c755. That said, the c755 is not as good as the QM7. Although if I didn’t have the budget and I was stretching to get the QM8 I’d be happy with the QM7, which is pretty much what was recommended at the end of the video.
The QM7 also offers a 55 inch variant though whereas the QM8 does not. At that size it’s literally half the price. This only becomes more prevalent as you go up into large tv sizes. You can get an 85 inch QM7 for the same price as a 75 inch QM8 (1499). If you were to bump up the QM8 to an 85 the price increases to $2500. You’re now spending an extra grand for the same size of tv. It makes complete sense to recommend the QM7
@@itwasntoptional5114 You're really playing with fire looking at the 55" model because nobody knows what the zone count is. Looking at the Hisense U8N as an example, the 55" has 672 zones, where the 65" has 1600 zones, you get 2.4x more zones at 65". With OLED there is no reason to go larger but with Mini LED there are HUGE performance differences between each size.
@@itwasntoptional5114 need to replace my failing 85” Vizio PQX this Black Friday. Have it narrowed down to the QM7, which would be a comparable TV, or QM8, which would be a clear upgrade. For me, the QM7 would have to be a savings of $500 or more. Best price so far was QM8 for $1,900 and QM7 was $1,500.
I got this TV against the judgment of Best But employees. I did the research and felt this tv was the best bang for the buck and loaded out with features. Big mistake. 120hz motion is garbage. Audio would only send PCM and not native Dolby 5.1 or DTS. Reflective screen is horrible. Anything sub 4k looks horrendous. This TV is ok if you ONLY do native 4k in everything. The best buy employee told me he would rather have the entry level Samsung then a “high end” TCL. I agree 100%. I’m going back to Samsung 7200 and will never, ever consider TCL again.
It’s just commercial bollocks, you can only see as well as your eyes can see!!!! Complete irrelevant nonsense unless you just want to show off how much you’ve spent on a tele!!! Do publishers brag about how sharp thier print on a page is??? Don’t be a commercial sheep!!! 🙄

QM8 from what I've seen isn't worth $300 more.
I’m going back to Samsung 7200 and will never, ever consider TCL again.
returned the 55 qm7 15 mins in knew it was super budget tv get the qm8
Dude really, don't believe the hype
@@raysal5149See it for yourself. You be the judge.
I just got the tcl qm851g 98 inch size n looks super good with those deep blacks close to an oled blacks for the fraction of the price.
Except the QM8 doesn’t come in 55 inch.
What is irrelevant?
Do you think all TVs look the same?
I wish they looked the same to me.
Then I could just buy the cheapest one.
You must have horrible eyesight because all TVs do not look the same. Not at all.
This is the type of person who can't tell the difference between 30fps and 60fps. They probably can't tell the difference between purple and blue either.
TVS MINI LED LCD é a pior produção de imagens não dá pra aceitar em pleno 2024 esse tipo de TV com tanta gambiarra
