Can you show me an example of a game that does this when there are many very shallow puddles like this? Just curious because I don't remember games having that much detail
this game just feels like it was developed in the early 2010s im ngl, really disappointed
I wish you would get bandages after a face surgery just like TDU2 and wait like a day or two in game until you can do it again. I know it limits changing your appearance whenever you want, but the way i see it, small things like this make the game more realistic. I understand why they didn't do it though.
It’s hilarious that the only thing people care about in racing games are the graphics. Honestly, this game looks fantastic considering it isn’t a AAA title. And assuming this is anything like the first 2 TDU games, we should get stuff like cops, motorcycles, houses, car wash, and the ability to give passengers rides in our cars etc. TDU is more about the gameplay than it is graphics, and personally i enjoy that way more than just some eye candy. I’m looking forward to this game.
you're right, the problem is that currently there is practically no feature you mentioned and which is an inherent element of the TDU series... stylistically, the game reminds me of the first part of The Crew with a touch of Motorfest. clothes shops, barbers, clinics are all bullshit in my opinion, you don't feel the atmosphere when you enter a luxury clothes shop, you have a white menu like in any other game like Horizon or The crew... it's sad
Exactly, I was saying the same thing like Forza for instance, the game looks beautiful but there’s no reason to play it because everything is given to you literally…this game is gonna be complete opposite which I’m most excited about. Grind and Content!

What do you mean there's no ambient occlusion? It's literally there in the video. Also, it doesn't have SSR but it does have reflection.

This is just the alpha stage, hopefully the add some finishing touches like : tire smoke when drifting, improved wheel animation, buying properties and custom dials or speedometer based on the car you drive.

I don't mind if it looks dated.
TDU 2 and Driver SF came out the same year, and TDU 2 already looked dated in comparison. It didn't remove the fun I had playing it. I'm not saying Driver was bad, on the contrary. I really enjoyed both games for what they offered in terms of gameplay.
I give more importance physics when it comes to racing games, and from what I tested in the demo, TDU SC feels pretty nice to drive.
I haven't been able to do one race yet. Server issues, even after the downtime today.

Don’t buy it then just like every other car racing game nowadays you better not have Need For Speed, The Crew, Gran Turismo or Forza Horizon in your collection right now because they all require some type of internet connection lol

@@redhunnid5142they need to give offline too for longer shelflife and for convinience. Exp. I like to travel a lot and bring my gaming laptop with me
@@redhunnid5142True but besides the crew those games do allow players to play offline even though the features are limited. I have about 200hrs on FH5 and about 80% of it was spent offline.
Maybe it’s coz Forza has spoiled us, but the car list is seriously lacking. Hope it gets an update before launch.

This game's gameplay is really good, coming from games like forza horizon 5 and motosport. I actually prefer it from these. BUT the graphics are just ok, but the lighting is horrendous. It looks like a ps4 game but a bit better. But the breaking point for me is that the optimization is absolutely HORRIFIC for what graphics you are getting. If the non demo game gets the same performance as the demo, I am not getting it. It's such a shame, because I love it's gameplay so far. I am getting 38-50fps on max settings with dlss3 at 2k resolution and 120-165fps on forza horizon 5 and 70-90fps on motosport with a rtx 4070 gpu and a ryzen 7 5700x cpu.

GR says this is a different game but whats unique about it? NFS has customization and police, Forza Horizon has a huge car list and diverse map, what does TDU have that they don’t? Blinkers and rolling the windows down? It doesn’t do anything differently. Previous ones had properties which was unique. Business 101 is your product has to be unique or better than the competitors in some way. This just feels like a bare bones version of the competitors.
The competitors don’t have a 1:1 real world map this big,tdu was never meant to a car racing games, it’s supposed to a lifestyle games from the perspective of car enthusiasts. So it’s a game squeezed between the forzas and gtas

What’s the point of making a 1:1 version of Hong Kong has barely any traffic and no pedestrians? It looks like a ghost town. Also, how is it a lifestyle game with no lifestyle features? Houses, boats and casinos gone

My fps is so bad. First time i set everything max graphics. Everything was fine and smooth, then its been 2days since i've been playing and even when turning everything to low, it feels like i hav3e 10fps at most 😐 am on pc with a rtx 2060 on a 240hz monitor and a 5.2ghz i7 7700k pc
I have no fps problem with other games and play all max graphics

I downloaded the demo but for some reason it seems like I have multiple controllers conflicting with each other when I only have one connected it's a shame because I was exited once I saw a demo dropped
I tried enabling steam controllers and changing mappings but in the menus when I go to scroll down it rubber bands right back to the top its weird

Yup, my old pc is struggling bad. I'm not going to play the full game on pc but PS5 so I only wanted to get a little feel for the game given there's no demo on PS5. Was a bit of a weird experience to say the least.

@@garrettscott827 I played the game on high settings the graphics are fine. Sure it's a bit outdated compared to the latest and greatest but it's also open world and simulation. The physics seem more sophisticated than something like Forza horizon 5. Speaking of that game, I don't think the graphics are much worse than FH5.

I see more loading screens than gameplay in most videos I've been watching of this game, sadly that's one down side of it always being online.
I haven't seen a single comment pointing out that harsh mechanical gps voice. Is it just me?
I don't understand why they do this. GPS voice should be very pleasant. I know it's supposed to be futuristic but it doesn't need to be early 2000s sci-fi.

I'm mind blown how bad this looks. I expected this to be better then any car games out but it's gonna be hard to beat crew motorfest, and forza. This looks like it's in alpha and needs a couple more years of work tbh.
Why do you only care about graphics? If you even played any TDU game you would know that it focuses more on gameplay rather than depending on graphics alone. Graphics don’t make a game good, i wish more people realized this.

@@busterchops445 bro game is coming out in less than 3 months. If you know the slightest bit of game development you'd know it won't change anything. Bugfixing and optimization is the only thing they do right now. There's no time for significant gameplay changes and features.

Personally, i like the way the game looks, and especially how the cars in it sound, they really outdid themselves there. I want this game to succeed. I want an actually good open-world racing game again that’s not Forza Horizon or The Crew. Not like one of those corny festival racers y’know?

Do you pay for gas in game.
No. However Hybrid cars have their battery depleting over-time as you drive. When the battery is empty, your car lose part of it's power.

Just restart the game until it launch. It helped for me
Yeah I had the 'loading save data' for a while' a restart should fix this
Yep. Tried restarting numerous times, including my whole machine and I deleted the DUMMY.DAT file that someone in the forum recommended. Still no joy. Even if you get by that, apparently others are having login issues.
It doesn't look good for the full game if they can't even get the demo right.
@@crazyarsik Yeah but when you hit double figures for restarts, you have to wonder if it's really worth wasting any more time. It's good that it worked for you but for others it isn't.
For curiousity, how long was the load time when it worked? I've seen the background screens repeat 3 or 4 times but still nothing.
One thing that bugs me is the brake lights on all cars having a fade animation when on many cars, they should turn on and off instantly.
Yep, same with the indicators at first. I have notified them of it and hopefully will be fixed soon :)
The on/off instantly should only be the case for LEDs light.
Horizon made the opposite and all cars have the On/Off lights instantly, wich isn't better honestly.
7 million+ people in HK and not a single pedestrian on the street. Barely any traffic, hopefully they fix this.

It'll feel good to play Tdu again after so much time. Tdu name deserves a wealthy publisher though. We dont want them get bankrupt at some point and have a second Tdu 2 fail you know.

feels weird with R35 models in this game, it look wide or T H I C C in front and back section of the car doesnt look like a properly R35 original models
All the "special" editions will get beta acces on xbox and ps. The gold edition will get another "vip" beta.
Have you found any wrecks yet in the open world? There is like a radar beeper to let you know you are near one.
