Gravel remembered me of the old good days playing Rally Cross 2 on ps1 and top gear rally on N64. it was so amazing, i'm going to download Gravel to have some fun and maybe be amazed as i was when playing ps1!
Hello! Yeah, Gravel has this nostalgic, uncomplicated approach that we don't see enough of these days. Just great fun. I hope you enjoy it, and thanks for watching!
These vids are paced well, not rushed, informative, aim to answer the important question, "will I like this game" breath of fresh air compared to other channels that just read the synopsis with no personal experience or opinions of the games as these have. You can see the effort and the humour is a great touch. Cat on a hot stove caught me off guard 😂 your formula is solid so hope you don't change a thing. That's enough if my judgement, good luck with future vids! 👍
Thank you, I appreciate it. I'm just looking to have a bit of fun and hopefully show people a couple of things they may have missed - at a decent price. Thanks for watching!
I love Hot Shot Racing - I covered that in a previous video for five underrated arcade racers. And Ridge Racer is a stone cold classic, of course. Thanks for watching!
It's a good game. I just wish they didn't exaggerate the super low poly style (it makes everything look deformed, especially the drivers) and had a less frustrating rubberband AI.
1st time seeing any of your videos, but I am sub'ing. So refreshing to see a video, that actually delivers on it's title! This is a great list, of mostly 'new-to-me' games, that I am excited to dig in to. Again, refreshing to see a video that is what it says it is. Thank you!
Hi! Ah, thank you. I'm absolutely delighted that I've been able to introduce you to a few hidden gems. Plenty more coming soon.. Enjoy the games, and welcome to the channel!
Genuinely, thank you for showing me Woden GP. I remember being amazed by the old rally championship cabinet when I was a child and always wanted something with a bit more to it than just playing the arcade game.
XENON RACERS is one of the best, if not the best arcade racing game u can buy today. If you are a fan of games like ridge racer and outrun, then u need to try it. It looks like a futuristic take on ridge racer with an amazing drift mecahnics with a thumping soundtrack. And best part ? it goes on sale a lot and u can get it for less than $3 from time to time. Loved it so much that i got it on ps5 and on steam and can't get enough of it.
@@Video_Games_Forever btw, ur video made me wishlist that new star gp and despite being a fan of sky drift, never knew there was a remake, so i am happy, thank u.
Xenon was fun but i disliked that they forced you to use certain cars for soecific events that disn't feel suitet for the challenge. Hotshot Racing is a lot better in my opinion.
@@CarlHammarstrom oh yeah, hotshot is amazing, such a good game, very very fun, just the rubberband ai is so brutal , but still, a great take on the old sega games, i agree.

You saved the best to last...Gravel is superb!!! It looks and plays better on the newer consoles compared to xbox one or ps4. It reminds me of Sega Rally a bit aswell.

Nice list of games. I have the original Skydrift which is very fun. Gravel also seems very good from the little I have played. I also played the original Woden but find it a bit frustrating. The New Star GP looks like something I would like so may pick it up if it goes on sale.
Hello! The original Super Woden GP could certainly be a bit 'slippy' on track, but the sequel has tightened things up a bit. It's still quite an excitable arcade racer, though. Hopefully you'll find a discount on New Star GP soon, it does regularly end up on sale. Thanks for watching!
I bought most of these games on sale for dirt cheap. Most I have never even played. But after seeing the gameplay on some of them, I think I will download them.
I still play Grip (ps4) which is the spiritual successor to Roll age on PS1 - fun game and developers supported it for a fair while with improvements. Dirt cheap too 👍
Very well made video. I am almost ashamed to admit that I've never played any of these games and had never even heard of most of them. That does make the list especially useful though. Maybe this video should have been called the best racers you've probably never played before as none of the arcade racers (like Forza Horizon, Motorsport, SSX, Cool Borders, Project Gotham Racing, Midnight Club, Jet Moto, Road Rash or Mario Kart that I've played) are on this list. Anyways you have given me a lot of games to look into and probably buy a few and for that I am grateful.
Hello! I am delighted to hear that you've found some new games, that's a big part of why I set this channel up - to uncover those hidden gems. Thanks for watching, and welcome to the channel!
I really enjoyed Gravel the first time I bought it. It has a lot of content and variety. Also Flatout is a really good choice too. I picked it up a while ago in the sale. The thing that I really noticed about it is how good the AI is in the game. The other cars behave like real players, which makes the game challenging but challenging in a good way. They really fight against you and each other and it makes each race a bit different. It is grindy though and it will take a while to progress. I added your other suggestions to wish list so I can pick them up the next time they go on sale. I have had my eye on Moto Racer for such a long time but never picked it up. Anyway thanks for the recommendations.
I agree! I think a lot of people avoided FlatOut 4 because of the bad taste the, admittedly awful, previous game had left, but it's great fun as a short and sweet arcade experience - and you can buy it for 60p/$0.60 in the sales these days. Thanks very much for watching, I hope you get some more bargains soon!
I'm playing New Star GP career mode with a G25 in full VR with a mod, it's incredible. I also love Gravel, on PC in 4K HDR it's a completely different experience than the blurry console version.
That does sound awesome. I remember when VR first tried to launch with these giant arcade set-ups in the 90s, and now retro-themed games like New Star GP are making good on all those impossible promises. Sounds great - enjoy!
Gravel is great I've played it through twice. The tracks are huge and very wide. Great car list only thing I didn't like was the annoying bars on the front of the cars that can't be removed.
I very much enjoyed your perspective on these varied arcade racing games! Looking forward to seeing more from your channel. A big like & a sincere sub from me my friend!
Great video. Unlike the rest under the "good xbox racers" search and the irritating AI voice. It's good to know someone still puts effort in. Thanks and keep up the good work. Defo going to grab a few of these games. Liked and subscribed 👍
I'd like to recommend Rush Rally 3 for anyone looking for a cheap, fun rally racing game that feels like a nice balance between an arcade and sim racer. It's just a good time, i think it was developed by a single person. Brought me back to the days I played Rallisport Challenge 2 on the original Xbox.
I'd also add Inertial Drift to this list. The gameplay is quite unique (and can be confusing at first), but when you nail it, it feels very satisfying and fast. Plays great on the Steam Deck as well.
@@Video_Games_Forever Mass races are really a lot of fun, wherever you end up in the pack. They do rotate through no collision versions on a weekly basis which are fun too because you don't feel bad about pushing someone off a ramp or into a tree 😂
Yeah, kind of. It's the same isometric viewpoint. I love Circuit Superstars and I covered that in a previous video for five underrated arcade racers. Super Woden GP 2 has a lot more vehicles and a bit more variety in track design and layout, but there's definitely room for both games in anyone's collection. Thanks for watching!

Since 2017 I spent an awful amount of hours (over a thousand 😳) trying to convince myself that I could play Assetto Corsa. I just could never play it good, so I quit it earlier this year to go back to arcade racers which are infinitely more fun to me. I'm particularly enjoying the original GRID from 2008 a lot, although sadly it's not a game that can be purchased anymore these days. I was lucky enough to grab it for free when it was still available on Steam. Perhaps the best combination ever of simulation and arcade.
Hey! Yeah, Assetto Corsa is hardcore. I find it pretty much impossible on a pad. The only time I've enjoyed it is strapped into a hydraulic seat with full wrap-around screen in a specialist digital racing centre. So, not the sort of rig many people have at home! I really enjoy the driving in GRID. I'd like to see Codemasters lean into the arcade tracks a lot more in any future sequel, because some of those road circuits are brilliant fun. Anyway, thanks for watching!
This video is a good reminder I should revisit Gravel as I don't even remember why I've stopped playing it when I did genuinely enjoyed it.

@@capuman Thank you very much, I appreciate it. And welcome to the channel!
@@Video_Games_Forever@Video_Games_Forever you should have chapters so people can skip through the games rather than quit the videos. Each game was way too lengthy for me. Not focused and edited. Rambling. But I would have watched a lot more if there were chapters
@@arostwocents I do have chapters and plenty of people who disagree with you. But thanks anyway.
Thank you!
wholesome fun games and good short reviews to introduce them. I really appreciate you calling out the games that try to push you to buy stuff too!
Thank you, I appreciate it. I'm just looking to have a bit of fun and hopefully show people a couple of things they may have missed - at a decent price. Thanks for watching!
Just subscribed, will be aquiring some of these racers.
Just popping off to watch some more of your videos.
A lot of fun-looking games on this list. Knew only 4 of them. Thanks!
My pleasure. And thanks for watching!
"Hotshot racing" is the best after "Ridge racer" series for me
I love Hot Shot Racing - I covered that in a previous video for five underrated arcade racers. And Ridge Racer is a stone cold classic, of course. Thanks for watching!
It's a good game. I just wish they didn't exaggerate the super low poly style (it makes everything look deformed, especially the drivers) and had a less frustrating rubberband AI.
@@NOTHlNGthat's the appeal that is never been done before in a racing game, until racing apex/hotshot racing, and I like it.
Great video. Super Woden reminds me of Micro Machines games from the 1990’s.
Thank you! Yeah, it definitely has that toybox vibe. Great fun. Thanks for watching!
Ah, my pleasure! Introducing everyone to the hidden gems is a big part of the reason the channel's here. Enjoy the game, and thanks for watching!
Great video. I have only played one of these, and at least five of the others you highlighted look very interesting. Thanks for the reviews!
My pleasure. Cheers Bob!
I've never tried that one. I'll give it a go, thank you.
It was £1.27 on Steam 2 weeks ago.
Good list. It is rare to see these list videos actually contain interesting titles for me to discover and go after.
Thanks very much, I appreciate it. And most of these games should cost you next to nothing. Enjoy, and thanks for watching!
In times where you basically expect some lifeless AI-Video when clicking on one of these game list videos, it was a pleasant surprise to find such a well written and thus interesting and fun to watch video. I really enjoyed it and I'm excited to check out some of these games, thank you very much!
Thank you kindly, I appreciate it. And I'm delighted to be able to introduce you to a few new games. Enjoy, and welcome to the channel!
What an amazing video! I had a lot of real enjoyment watching it!
Thank you very much, I appreciate it! You're very welcome at the channel.
Nice random compilation of good racers. I recommend wreckfest too.
Absolutely, Wreckfest is superb - I covered that in a previous video for five underrated games in 2024. Thanks for watching!
You saved the best to last...Gravel is superb!!! It looks and plays better on the newer consoles compared to xbox one or ps4. It reminds me of Sega Rally a bit aswell.
Yeah, definite Sega Rally vibes. Great fun. Thanks for watching!
I miss the futuristic arcade racers series like Fzero, ExtremeG and WipeOut.
Yeah, I don't know why we haven't seen another F-Zero in a while, I loved GX on the GameCube.
Redout II isn't bad at all, though - I've got that in one of my other videos for five underrated arcade racers. You might find that worth a look.
@@Video_Games_Forever cheers VGF for the recommendation, gonna check it out. Great work on sharing great content.
@strideredz You're welcome, and thanks again.
Great video, definitely adding a few of these to my PS Wishlist. Absolutely love GT7 but going to pick some of these up once on sale!
Hello! Thank you very much. You should definitely be able to get a few on sale very soon, the prices often plummet for these games. Enjoy, and thanks for watching!
Great video. You are officially the Barry Norman of video game reviews.
Haha! There's a blast from the past. 'Welcome to Game 24'. I'll take that, thanks for watching!
Cool stuff was covered here, Gravel is indeed a fun game! Will definitely check out some of the other titles!
Thanks very much! I'm delighted to introduce you to some new games, and you're very welcome at the channel.
New Star GP is Awesome.
Yeah, I've loved it. Feels so great to play on the track and I was really surprised how much content there is.
Great compilation, thank you!
My pleasure, thanks for watching!
The world needs more fun, not more sterile simulation! Amen to that. I love Gravel myself. Great list, great video. Thanks a lot
Thank you very much, I appreciate it. Much more to come soon, and you're very welcome at the channel!
Great video, discovered some new ones to try out so thanks! 🙂
One i greatly recommend is Rush Rally 3, on a gamepad is fantastic. It's not very long ( completed it in about 20h ) but it's tons of fun.😉
Delighted to hear it, thank you. And cheers for the recommendation, I'll check out Rush Rally 3.
Also Hotshot Racing, Horizon Chase 2, Slipstream, Art of Rally
Slipstream es uno de los mejores arcades disponible para todas las plataformas, programado por una sola persona con la clásica técnica super scaler!
@@TheRayLeon I know, I own it in Steam
formula TOP is the best
It's rare that I watch a video with a title like this with REAL hidden gems. Subscriber earned!
Ps appreciate you probably play these on PC but ive been looking for these kind of games on switch. I.e. racing games that dont require triggers to play. Hopefully they remedy this with thr switch 2!
Thanks very much! And yeah, it'll be interesting to see what happens with the Switch 2 next year. Hopefully I can feature some more racers for you that allow for better control options.
Thanks again, and welcome to the channel!
HW Unleashed 2 is free on PS+ this month (November 2024).
Just bought flatout 4 for 49cent and the dlc for 11cent. A total of 60cent. Look forward to getting my monies worth tonight. Thanks for the recommendation.
Now that, my friend, is some solid shopping! FlatOut 4 is a great blast for 60 cents. Enjoy!
Rush Rally Origins and Circuit Superstars are also very much worth mentioning.
I totally agree! I covered Circuit Superstars in a previous video - love that game.
great video & well presented too
Thank you very much, I appreciate it. And thank you for watching!
Solid list. There are at least 4-5 of these games that aren’t in my library yet.
Thank you! Pretty much everything ends up on sale quite regularly, so hopefully you'll get the ones you're missing for a decent price.
never heard of gravel till tonight need it ordered for tomorrow
Art of Rally deserves to be here!
That's a nice choice, good game.
Wow so many interesting titles I've never heard of before! Definitely picking some up
Many of them should cost you next to nothing as well, I'm pleased to say. Enjoy, and thanks for watching!
Nice to see Gravel included! What an awesome game...although don't mention those boss battles...!
Ha, yeah! I also didn't mention the unintentionally hilarious announcer: 'If you didn't faint during that race then you're clearly used to strong emotions.' Brilliant.
You got a new subscriber mate. Enjoyed the video. It was really well presented and I will now check out some of your other videos too. All the best, have a great day 😁👍
Thanks again, much appreciated. All the best.
New star gp looks awesome, it has a bit of that classic virtua racing style look
Yeah, it's really smooth and the tracks are all great - a lot like a modern Virtua Racing in many ways.
Thanks for watching!
Great video and definitely some games on the list I’ll be picking up in sales
Thank you very much, I do appreciate it. Enjoy the games and thanks for watching!
The last 2 are my favorites I'm glad I brought them and still enjoy them!
Yeah, they're great fun. Enjoy, and thanks for watching!
I bought most of these games on sale for dirt cheap. Most I have never even played. But after seeing the gameplay on some of them, I think I will download them.
HI! I'm delighted that you've found some new games. Enjoy, and thanks for watching!
I still play Grip (ps4) which is the spiritual successor to Roll age on PS1 - fun game and developers supported it for a fair while with improvements. Dirt cheap too 👍
Yeah, that's another one that nearly made this video, great shout!
Great video. You have a soothing voice. Subbed
Ha! Well, thank you. And welcome to the channel!
Nice one,Subscribed. Please keep it comin...
I appreciate it, thank you. And welcome to the channel!
That's an excellent list! Thanks!
Ah, my pleasure! And thanks for watching.
Thanks very much for watching, I hope you get some more bargains soon!
aaaah 'gravel' great game! nice video mate ;)
I appreciate it, cheers!
I subbed just because of that sweet subscribe animation. Good job ol boy
Ah, thank you. And welcome to the channel!
A great watch and some that I was not aware of.
Thank you very much, and cheers for watching!
Gravel is great I've played it through twice. The tracks are huge and very wide. Great car list only thing I didn't like was the annoying bars on the front of the cars that can't be removed.
Inertial Drift is an amazing cell shaded drift racer with a unique control scheme and a dope soundtrack.
I very much enjoyed your perspective on these varied arcade racing games! Looking forward to seeing more from your channel. A big like & a sincere sub from me my friend!
I really appreciate it, thank you! Lots more to come very soon. Welcome to the channel!
Thank you. Just grabbed a few of these and more after a search. Lot of fun.
My pleasure! I'm delighted to introduce you to some new games. Enjoy, and thanks for watching!
Hotshot Racing should be on this list. Fantastic!
Yeah, that game's great. I covered it in a previous video for five underrated arcade racers.
Great video. Unlike the rest under the "good xbox racers" search and the irritating AI voice. It's good to know someone still puts effort in. Thanks and keep up the good work. Defo going to grab a few of these games.
Liked and subscribed 👍
Hello! I appreciate it, thank you. Lots more to come and you're very welcome at the channel.
Nice content! Will give some of them a try.
I appreciate it - and thanks for watching!
Picked up a few of these today! Look like perfect PC < > Steam deck games
Yeah, a lot of these games are perfect for a quick blast on the go. Thanks for watching!
That's a very good call, thank you!
I'd also add Inertial Drift to this list. The gameplay is quite unique (and can be confusing at first), but when you nail it, it feels very satisfying and fast. Plays great on the Steam Deck as well.
Yeah, that's another good shout. Definitely takes a bit of getting used to, but plays great and looks good.
Enjoyed watching this and will try the first 2 which I've never heard of
Thank you very much, and I'm really happy to introduce you to some new games. Enjoy, and cheers for watching.
Man this video makes me think of penny racers on N64. Such a great arcade racer
Ah, yeah! Takes me back. Great game.
Riders is a blast and well worth it when it’s on sale which it is all the time these days. I make a cameo in the mass race around 12:23
Ha! I bet you finished well ahead of me. It's great fun, though, wherever you place.
@@Video_Games_Forever Mass races are really a lot of fun, wherever you end up in the pack. They do rotate through no collision versions on a weekly basis which are fun too because you don't feel bad about pushing someone off a ramp or into a tree 😂
Game called Gravel , it's fun!
It really is! Enjoy, and thanks for watching!
Super Woden GP is basically just Circuit Superstars but fleshed out as a proper game.
Thanks for the video. These are some great recommendation!
My pleasure, thank you!
The YT algorithm recommended me your video - very good, really well presented! Some great recommendations in your list too. I feel like arcade racing games have taken a back seat over recent years so seeing a lits like this refreshing.

Great video , absolutely love a n arcade racer .I would like to see a sequel to Blur from back in the PS3/360 days,i missed Gravel so gunna check that out plus others
Yeah, I was really hoping we'd see more from Blur. Some new tracks and more split-screen multiplayer would have been great.
i want a super hang on reboot so bad !!
Yes! Sign me up for that.
Great video this and very funny 👌1 new subscriber. Im off to give gravel a go. Thanks for the tip 🙏
Thank you! Enjoy Gravel - and welcome to the channel!
Really excellent video. Thanks

Nail'd is a great arcade racer that goes on sale for .99 cents quite often.
