This is my favorite scene of the whole series. It captures everything that made GoT great. Two complex and believable characters, each acting in accordance with their values. They are both adversaries and friends, with a shared culture and history. they don't hate each other, they don't like each other, but the respect they share for a moment in this scene is palpable. and then the history, they way we get a taste of somethin that everyone in that world knows, there was a terrible doom that consumed an entire empires in a single day, and no one knows why. In the novels it's Barristan Selmy running the government, but at least in the show, Daario talks everyone around. TV Daario is smart, observant, diplomatic and critically, _empathetic_ to people different from his and Daenerys' own. For Tyrion (sorry, D&D, y'all shit the bed) to write him off and leave him in Essos was a titanic mistake.
