Your tutorials are the best I have found. Thank you. I started my career in the 1970s on a drawing board. Moved to the computer and to Apple, Adobe and Photoshop. Finding it hard to learn Procreate, but necessary. You are making it possible.
I also started on a drawing board in the 70s! Although I am a bit of a computer nerd, I skipped doing any kind of digital artwork until now, and honestly I am not finding Procreate to be that difficult. I do find the iPad screen size limiting still, and color mixing is not as intuitive and automatic for me as physical painting is, but the software is finally to a fairly believable and natural point.
I don't know if you will see this. But thank you very much for this video, I've been having the worst time trying to understand the pressure curve settings on my own. Can't say I could figure out how to set it myself still but it makes sense now and while I get more used to playing around with it. Emulating yours is really making a difference!
ive always wanted to be good at sketching or just art in general, i practiced a bunch on paper with pencils and couldnt draw much besides terrain and landscape, ive recently moved to ipad and was wondering if you have any advice on how to get better other than these amazing videos, my hands just dont seem to put out anything good
This is general advice as I can't tell without seeing your work, but... 1. Consistently practice while having fun, don't get down on yourself if things don't look great immediately 2. Target your weakness and be honest in where you can improve 3. Use ref and draw what you see, not what you think is there... this sounds like mumbo jumbo but once you grasp it, it is profound
Awesome and helpful little video for a Procreate beginner with a lot of training scars from Photoshop. Also, 2:49 I'm calling that the "settings wench" from now on, freakin' love it.
Your tutorials are extremely the best. Please now do I configure my Apple Pencil to respond to very slight pressure Changes, especially most visible in Laura H . Rubin’s lines which feel like very very fluid ink that tapers so smoothly? I will be so glad if you can answer this question. L am not rich enough to buy Laura's brushes. Thanks so much.
I've been struggling for hours to get an inking pen/brush settings that is similar to sai's pen tool. Either the tapers on both ends will be too long, only one end will taper, there'll be no line weight, or it gets fat so fast it's just been soooo frustrating. =n=
Omg i clicked on this and half way through remembered i used to comment to things youd post on webtoon when i was 13 and youd reply and be so sweet now im a tattoo artist trynna get tips on how to use procreate better😭
Fucking finally thank you, been trying so hard to just find work around a to learn this software. And even better found someone who is also left handed subscribed for sure
@@jaywalkerpictures hey, just figures out I do in fact have pen pressure but it only activates when I tilt my pen at an uncomfortable angle, is there any way to change that?
I'm not sure, I have the 2nd gen. Make sure your iPad IOS is updated. Also it might be the pen tip is damaged, try replacing it at an apple store. Hope you get it fixed!

Great tips. Thank you. I’m really glad that there is a way to stop the canvas from rotating.

IJhaven a question could you also show how many brush pencil there are in procreate thank you
THANK YOU, u saved me from a mental breakdown 😂😂
When I zoom
In or out it erases what I did is there a way to fix that ?
Thanks for watching guys. If you are struggling with brushes, try my custom Procreate brush set - jaywalkerpictures.com
How do you rotate without piching?Pinch is the only way to rotate?
Rotate the ipad
Is easier to rotate with your finger, if u need to adjust , why would rotate all the time ?
both are super easy so there is no wrong options here . Only preference !

You might save some pencil nibs with that pressure curve advice 😉
And some iPad screens 😁
My apple pencil is not working in procreate but my finger is working. Help, thanks u
My apple pencil has no pen pressure, No matter how much I tweak the pressure curve settings in doesn’t change at all

Pretty basic, but still good. For some reason my Pressure Curve window is cut off at the bottom. So, I have to guess where the dot is.
Mine was too but i just kept trying to scroll till i got it
I didn't find this video to be basic. I've watched dozens of procreate videos and this is first I'm seeing on setting the pressure curve globally.
