I’ve been on 20mg Citalopram for several years now, and it’s been absolutely amazing for me. Like you I really struggled when I first started taking it, having to start on a quarter of a tablet a day, then up to a half once I could tolerate it more, then three quarters and finally a full tablet a day. It made me feel SO nauseous at the beginning. My anxiety has long gone now, as have my anxiety attacks. I’m very much back to my real confident, happy self, and I love it! It’s so so so worth going through the initial stages as Citalopram is so so affective.

Celexa/citalopram is amazing. As someone who struggles with insomnia, Prozac and others keep me up all night. Celexa allows me to have energy during the day and feel tired at night. My sleep is so good and restful for the first time in my life. No panic attacks and my mood is always great. I also gained weight, a little over 15lbs in the past month and a half I’ve been on it. I work out frequently though so it’s all good weight. 10/10 would recommend!

I have panic disorder. I was on it for 4.5 years. Got off it with a 6 week gradual reduction. Was fine for 3 months. Felt great. Then the depression started back up. Followed by debilitating anxiety. So I am going back on. I wish I wouldn’t have come off. I am grateful this medication exists in my lifetime. 9 days back on, so I’m still not fully up and running again. But I’m hopeful by week 4 I’ll be back to “normal”.
Maybe it’s the chaos the world is in now, between covid and Ukraine and all the worry about US unity. If I do get off again, I’ll try and do it when the world is in a better place.

Put this off for long as my son is on SNRI been through the lot with him. My nervous system completely calmed down after trying everything myself first, I was stuck in fight or flight each day all day. I feel the difference. I can breathe again. Watching withdrawel videos is a bit daunting but this trumps over that. Everyone reacts different so glad I'm ok on this and yes also sleep better at night.
