Thank you for doing this video! I've been on & off prozac throughout my life for PTSD and anxiety and i've been so mean to myself in the past about staying on it / come off it for silly reasons and i've finally recently accepted that i'm just a better version of myself when I stay on it and be okay with needing it! I have also experienced the drastic weight gain too and it's really hard but I did find this time around on the med I really watched those cravings and i did gain LESS this time around. So i think its a combo of metabolism slowing, and it making those cravings harder to say no to. xx

Thank you for sharing your story. As a long term viewer, I was curious what was happening behind the scenes when your uploads changed. I think social media and para social relationships make fans think we are privy to that information when it’s not the case at all. I appreciate your transparency and honesty regarding this topic. We are all human and all have things going on that it’s truly so important to treat people w kindness and love. So much love to you Mikayla❤️

Love that you opened up about this! Perhaps switching medications might help with the weight gain. I work at a psychiatry office, and one of the biggest things we see is people wanting to wean off their meds once they feel “normal” again. Although normal is a relative term, sometimes we forget what it felt like to feel depressed and anxious once we got a taste of feeling “normal”. No rush and no shame in being on medications if it helps with your mental health!

Thank you for sharing this. We were in the same dance class in high school and I always saw you as this perfect, polished person with a perfect life. Hearing these personal stories from influencers and people whose lives I have envied really humanizes them and reminds me that no one is perfect. Obviously I don't want you (or anyone else!) to have to struggle with their mental health, it's just very relatable and makes me feel less weird.
I struggled majorly with depression and anxiety throughout my teen years, but I wasn't medicated yet. It was hard to relate to my peers and fit in while I felt like I was drowning in life. I'm in a much better place now, and I'm glad that the stigma surrounding the discussion of mental health issues has decreased since then.

I was a 911 operator which means I had access to a lot more info than the average Joe of the day to day life of others. And I can confirm NO ONES LIFE IS PERFECT. Even if they think it is. Everyone struggles or has struggled at some point.

@@BP-wv2xq I agree, no one's life is perfect. No matter how much they try to paint their life as sunshine and rainbows. If they constantly strive to come across as having a perfect life with no difficulties they probably have a bad, ingenuine personality and are insecure.

Same here! I took zoloft for 6 years and it was awful. They kept raising my dose until I stopped and got off of them myself. Amino acid therapy has helped me rebalance my neurotransmitters and I am much better. Btw , I gained 45 pounds in those 6 years. It gave me extreme uncontrollable hunger and cravings.

Ugh, I've been having the high highs and low lows lately really bad. I've been on Lexapro for 10 years and my Dr thinks it has stopped working so she prescribed Zoloft but I'm scared to switch. But then I feel like my quality of life isn't good right now so I should switch and see if it can get better. I also have terrible PMDD too.
