Running! Advice, coaching, interviews, maybe even a documentary, then some workout videos from time to time. Great video! I have a T5 and an m200 and both are amazing for pictures, but definitely lean toward the M200 with the better tech and just better video features since the T5 is older. Funny thing is I bought the M200 first...
I am just starting out and bought the Canon M6 Mark ii based on Sean's review. He recommended the M50 or M6, with the M6 being a little more future proof with the better 4K capabilities. I have also invested in the Viltrox EF adapter and Canon 50mm lens based on Omar's recommendation. I am very happy with all purchases. That 50mm lens is outstanding!
I invested a few years ago in the Nikkon D5300 paid a lot. Plus got a note 10plus. So done buying . We got a problem with buying the latest and greatest in the US. Thats why people are broke. Investing in your health is a must. Thanks for the video.
I went from a camcorder to the Canon M 50 and it changed my whole world. I am learning so much more about video production options with this and 50 and of course the color is amazing and the focus is awesome as well.
I'm surprised no one mentions the very important difference between DSLR and mirrorless and that is that it is very hard to see the LCD screen on a DSLR in bright sunlight but with mirrorless you can use the EVF.
So thankful for this video! Thanks Think Media -- you've inspired me to start my own positivity and health focused channel. Wishing y'all a blessed day from this new RUclipsr ✨☀️😁
I have a tiny channel and am only starting out so to speak, i made the decision to get a m50, it came with a rode vloging mic. Its so easy and straight forward to use, and has helped me focus on building my content and not have to worry about kit.
Most smartphones these days have similar quality to these especially if you get lenses for it. Shopmoment.com is where you can find those. Camera gear is expensive, and camera lenses are killer.
Roadrunner Training Projects hit that one on the head! I was going to say the same thing... when I started my RUclips channel I got cameras and stuff, which, don’t get me wrong- are great 👍 but after a couple years I went back to my smartphone, b/c it is so fast easy and convenient! I can literally film, edit, and upload on the same thing without transferring files from New York to LA across multiple devices... plus my iPhone X can film 4K 60 fps- for me that’s plenty!!!!😊😊😊
Your phone! Unless you want something better than 4K 60 FPS, and slo-mo 1080p up to 240 FPS (which is what my iPhone x does) than that is what I would recommend... it is so easy and convenient!👍👍👍
Good comparison. I went for the Sony 6400, Sigma 16mm f1.4 (video dark conditions and live streaming at home), Sony 18-105, f4 (video normal conditions)
Thanks for the run-down. I have yet to move off of Sony camcorders (in part due to their better low-light capabilities, especially with the IR NightShot mode available), so it's good to hear that low-light performance is improving in the mirrorless cameras. Also, neither here nor there, but I'm impressed with how unechoey the sound is in this video, given that you're in a small, rectangular room with the door closed (and a scraped ceiling?). Really good wall treatment, really directional shotgun mic, or both? 🙂
Going to be upgrading my camera which is currently my Galaxy S9+ - haha! Just bought Neweer LED lights based on a recommendation in your other video. Can’t wait for them to arrive.
Wanting to help my wife start a RUclips channel. She needs a camera for a home studio as well as out travelling. Would you recommend the M50 or the new Sony ZV-1 point and shoot? We already have a Nikon D700 with great lenses, but it does not have video capability.
The new Sony is sick! But I recommend something you can change lenses on. M50, M100, M200, Sony alpha cameras are amazing as well. The M100 and M200 you cant mount microphones on, and I don’t think you can on the a5000 and a5100.
This was an awesome video! Ive had a Nikon D7200 for about 4 years now and want to start making YT videos and Streaming. Glad to find out i didnt have to buy a new camera
It's worth noting that a Rebel T3 or T3i isn't going to have a great picture because it doesn't have the duel pixel auto focus (which I think is a game changer)... You have to go with the Rebel SL2 or T7i (I have both) or one of the newer Full Frame, like the 70D... I was worried I missed something for not having mirrorless, looks like I'm okay for the next few years!
I'm using the camera on my phone ZTE Blade Max Android which does not give me the results I must have for beauty tutorials. My next step is to create videos that don't require extreme closeups. I'm sold on the Canon M50, my next upgrade! Thanks Sean!
I am confused between these two types: nikon z-50 sony a6400 Which one is better for a beginner? If you have better recommendations, I will be grateful to you
Great video! I currently have a Canon T6i (my first camera). Works great for photography but definitely need an upgrade for video as it only goes up to 30 FPS.
I currently have a Panasonic Lumix FZ-1000 as my primary video creation camera ( got it from Amazon early last year for under 600 'New'). It is an older model Panasonic 'Bridge' camera that has excellent features (mostly for still pictures unfortunately), and is extremely dependable and consistent. Since yesterday however, my credit card has been burning a hole in my pocked (so I hit it) sinnce I really like what I saw in the reviews (about a dozen of them) for the new Sony ZV-1 v-logging camera. I need a second camera anyway, ant the new features on that one have me mesmerized. I only wish it was about one-third cheaper in price. I may need therapy to avoid a credit set-back.
I have been using cannon for a while may you make a comparison video between NEW cannon mirrorless cam vs the NEW sony cam in the our live video session?
I was just wondering which one is better btw DSLR and mirrorless! I'll probably go with the cheaper one.... but still thank you so much for valuable information as always :)
Biggest question for me: I need super slow motion on a camera. The Sony RX100 seems to have a great 960fps, but I’d like to know your take on that camera and if there’s a better one with excellent slow motion out there for the same or less money. Thank you!
📸 Are they both really good for doing photography? Should I assume all of these cameras are good for photography? 🔋. Do they both have good battery life for recording video? Or does one have a lot long record time than the other ? 🎤 are they both set up really well for attachments like mics, lights...etc?
I have a Canon 80D, which I love and I'm thinking of getting a second camera to get a different angle when I shoot but I'm not sure which one to get because I want my current collection of lenses to also fit the second camera. Additionally, I've been eyeing the Sigma 16mm 1.4 for a while now. So my second camera definitely has to be able to hold that one up. Any suggestion would be great! Thanks!
This was so interesting because I want to buy a camera for making you tube videos but also to blog on . I’d still like the Sony but what again would you recommend. I don’t know anything about cameras.
I am looking at upgrading from my current 70d for RUclips video and livestreaming. I’m looking at either the M50 or SL3, but I’m not sure which. I just use an 18mm for my videos, which wouldn’t be compatiable with the m50 without an adaptor. I am looking refurbished from Canon and BODY ONLY for SL3 is sold out, which does away with my lens argument. Not sure which is really better and if I should jump into mirrorless now instead of later.
Looking to buy a Camera to START making music videos AND live streaming. Hopefully a camera that will be relevant at least 5 years from now. What would be your recommendation in regards to most bang for my buck? My max budget is 4000. Looking for, ease of to use, internet/Bluetooth capability, works well with IOS. Not great at post editing so want great video off the bat.
Why is USB-C charging so "exciting". I mean it's ok but please explain what's so exciting about it. Most of us have many of those small USB ones in every drawer, so we have to go and get new cables or adapters. Or I am missing something. I am open to anything and always ready to learn something especially if it straightens me out on bad info deep in my brain, and there definitely is bad info lurking there that emerges at the most embarrassing moments to make me look bad. Luckily my ego is not very controlling so it's not an issue. Thanks for the cool video!!
Right now I have a Nikon 5300. I bought it for both videos and photos, but it's so heavy for photos (while hiking) and the autofocus... Doesn't exist 😁 Well there is something but you can hear it! Which means it is unusable and I just have to try to be focused so that's always fun while making videos. Trying to decide what to get now.
I currently have a Nikon D3400 which I like except for the fact that it does not have an external mic jack. Since I do not have a lot of money invested in lenses I am not sure which route I will go when I buy a new camera which will probably be soon.
I'd like a camera that I can record and charge directly to my windows computer for youtube videos at my desk. I got a ZV1, but it's just now easy to use for what I need. I'm looking for a 4K mirrorless camera that I can use on my desk with OBS and again record directly to the computer. What camera do you suggest for around $800-1,500?
Nolan, this is another great video. I am recording my video mostly with a Samsung Galaxy S8 and a webcam. I really like the Canon color and want to get into a Canon Mirrorless camera. The cost of the M50 is very enticing as a general workhorse including as a webcam. I have an off-topic question, what are you using for the color light effect in your videos? I am looking at options to level up my videos.
Nice Video! Question, which Canon Mirrorless camera is compared with the Canon camera 80D or 90D? I'm a realtor and getting ready to start a RUclips channel...Thanks in advance for your advice!

Wow! Really insightful. Just in time, I was thinking of which camera to buy soon . Thanks again!
Are you going for mirrorless?
Yup. It's the future. 😂 Plus I don't want to carrg bulky cam with me all the the time. I want it compact and light.
M50, M200, and Sony alpha are all good!!! Love my M200 but if you were to only get one camera get the M50 because it can mount microphones on top.

Yes
I'm 6'2" but yes, I am trying to grow.
LOL

The best camera is the one you already own! Good luck to all new RUclips channels! We got this!

Great comparison, Nolan! I just got the a6400 and love it. Super fast autofocus and great lowlight performance.
I have both and I prefer shooting video with my non-DSLR. Great video!
Beautiful Demonstration Buddy ! Keep your wonderful work going !
I agree ☝️
I have a tiny channel and am only starting out so to speak, i made the decision to get a m50, it came with a rode vloging mic. Its so easy and straight forward to use, and has helped me focus on building my content and not have to worry about kit.
YESSSSSS!!!! Keep it up bro !!!! Love the knowledge.
Me too!!!!
I still love my Canon M50! Thanks for the recommendation Think Media!
That’s crazy! My first camera was a T5i and I bought at Sony a5100 to vlog and realized the quality difference too! Been stuck on Sony ever since!
I cannot express the sadness that I fell about the fact that I can not afford any decent cameras
Most smartphones these days have similar quality to these especially if you get lenses for it. Shopmoment.com is where you can find those. Camera gear is expensive, and camera lenses are killer.

Canon m200 and t7 I can make good videos
Thank you so much bro, I've been using my phone (S 10) and it's time to step my game up.
I bought a Canon DSLR on their recommendation
I have a canon 70D but want a new one so thanks for the tips.
I have a canon and I love it, but I would like something light weight to add to the collection 🤔
Your phone! Unless you want something better than 4K 60 FPS, and slo-mo 1080p up to 240 FPS (which is what my iPhone x does) than that is what I would recommend... it is so easy and convenient!👍👍👍

I have been watching think media since they had 450,000 subs!
Thanks for the ❤️!!!! Thanks for teaching me a lot
Yeah, I don’t remember how many subs they had when I started (I was pretty young), but I have been watching Sean for a while to!!!! #HeDaBest!!!!
Fantastic video guys. Really just getting into RUclips and filming so the simple explanations really are appreciated
I bought the 90d and I do video production and RUclips. Great camera and plenty of lens options that won't break the bank.
I just started my channel and I'm using a Canon M10! Its a mirrorless cam. So far its okay for a beginner like me :)
Hi
Finally video I wanted. Thanks ❤

Me: I bought a new camera with all my money, shows off to friends “This is my beautiful baby”
Think Media: Has a camera, uses it for props.
I use the Canon M50. I believe its the best vlogging camera under $500 at the moment. Its a steal!
I’m saving up for that! It looks so good
Going to be upgrading my camera which is currently my Galaxy S9+ - haha! Just bought Neweer LED lights based on a recommendation in your other video. Can’t wait for them to arrive.
Full frame mirror less cameras are the best I THINK

Thanks for sharing helpful tips 👍
Keep up the good work
great breakdown!
Bought the Sony A6600 swith Sigma 16mm F1.4
I want a mirrorless 90D without the HDMI out port, since I want it for shooting video and not streaming
Very nice..thnx for helpful the info..
I have a Sony FS100 and thinking about that Canon M50.
Frankly, in video mode a DSLR becomes a mirrorless.
I like mirrorless cameras 😍 Thanks Nolan
Thank you for your video! It was fantastic!!!
I am confused between these two types:
nikon z-50
sony a6400
Which one is better for a beginner?
If you have better
recommendations, I will be grateful to you

I might upgrade from my canon m50 to the a6600 with the 30mm 1.4 sigma lens.
I just bought the SL3, maybe not the smartest choice for now, but was a good deal.
I love ❤️ think media which inspired me to make my own channel.
You and me both... you and me both!!!!
If you want something really cheap check out the canon t2i it is discontinued, but great for video and you can get it cheap!
Roadrunner Training Projects Thank you for your recommendations!
I shoot on my Sony ZV-1. But I also use a Canon T6i.
Stupid question... why not use a dedicated camcorder and use the cameras for pics? I plan to do real estate photography and was pricing things out.
Thank you for this . It is very informative. I just started my channel and hoping to step up to get a camera
I really wonna get started. Kindly create a playlist for beginners in photo and videography
Biggest question for me: I need super slow motion on a camera. The Sony RX100 seems to have a great 960fps, but I’d like to know your take on that camera and if there’s a better one with excellent slow motion out there for the same or less money.

Can you do a video on bridge cameras
I use the Panasonic G7 camera. Its pretty good for video.
V good presentation, pls advice me best photo camera for wedding videography under 1200$ old or new one without overheating issue, pls reply.
What do you think is better ? DSLR or mirrorless
Do the mirrorless cameras have the same video recording time limit as DSLR?
First to comment ... Great work as always 🙂

What coloured lighting is the video filmed with?
Very nice! I just bought a M300 and have a dslr at home. I totally agree with your assessment!!! Very informative.
As long as it takes an external mic

Can someone pls tell me in plain english..how does he have that blue background effect?
Looks cool👍
I too would like to know. Please post the model of light(s) that you are using.
It’s a light setup with blue gels (films). He has the lights set up behind him so the background is blue and he isn’t.
When shooting video on DSLR does the mirror stay flipped open for the diration of the video?

It’s a very good question, the video looks so strange I barely started to watch it.
I'm still using the old Nikon D3200 and I get pretty good quality videos and pics.
Nice Video! Question, which Canon Mirrorless camera is compared with the Canon camera 80D or 90D? I'm a realtor and getting ready to start a RUclips channel...Thanks in advance for your advice!
