I tried blanching this year for just a little over two minutes but I didn't bring the water back to a boil so I figured I'll be halfway between blanching and not blanching LOL
We tried blanching, but we found that by not blanching, the beans stay much firmer while the blanching process makes the beans mushy !
Harrison was helping, helping himself to a snack of fresh green beans 😂

After the green beans are blanched, do you put them in the freezer bags while still wet or do they have to dry first?
You can put them in when they are wet.

what variety do you grow? Do you see save them?
i don't save seeds, but hope to grow a heritage variety soon that i can save seeds from. I think these may have been blue lake Bush
Do you add salt to you beans when you freeze? Or just add it when cooking then?
i just add salt when i cook them for a meal, not when freezing them.
