    Mom lost literally all credibility in the first story. I'm not even going to pretend I would've forgiven her for all the garbage she put them through. Love can make you blind and stupid, but refusing to even TRY to understand or listen? No.

      No how could she know that the step dad was bad?
      Firstly op hated the step father for seemingly no reason
      Then op claimed there were people in their garage, no proof so a lie is more likely the case
      There was no proof for the drugs cementing the lie excuse even more
      Once she found the pills it is very reasonable to assume op was the culprit due to their "lies"

      Yeah she married a guy she barely knew and then left him at home while she was gone most of the time. He could have done anything to the kid in the meantime.

    • @NeoRazgriz
      @NeoRazgriz 2 года назад +12

      The guy was one of the rare type of criminal, crafty. Most are stupid and fewer are actually smart. He’d have been smart to not smirk at the kid behind mom’s back when he could see and put the toolbox back where it was instead of leaving it after moving the drugs. If he did that OP probably would have thought he was hallucinating.
      …still doesn’t excuse the mom though

    I think their life as they knew it absolutely was in danger in story 1: That stepfather had ABSOLUTELY NO INTENTION of letting it just be a baggy of pills left supposedly in OP's care for mom to catch them-they wanted OP out of the picture entirely, they wanted OP with a criminal record and jailtime at the minimum, and best of all, mom head over heels for him would be rebounding and sobbing about how her son 'turned out', never knowing how stepfather planted all the evidence.
    Fortunately we'll never have to find out whether that was true, as OP got stepfather arrested first and the truth of stepfather's deception came out. I honestly would never trust my mother again though. I got gaslit by my family plenty of times about being a liar when I was telling the truth, and I still barely talk to my family 15 years later (For more than that, but the gaslighting was a big part)

    what OP did to Bob was absolutely morally right. if anything, bob should be thankful that he got off light.

    • @NeoRazgriz
      @NeoRazgriz 2 года назад +8

      I agree with 1 exception…OP waited WAY too long. 1st time Bob came back OP was already the ‘man of the house’ and mom obviously wasn’t equipped to stand up to Bob (she ran away, not confront him). OP should’ve laid down the law with Bob AND mom; any bruises or disrespect on mom or siblings and he is out. Walk out or dragged out, either way works and Bob doesn’t get to choose which!

      I will also say that OP’s mother is absolutely NO MOTHER!! She is an extremely horrible, horrible, despicable excuse! She couldn’t leave Bob because of a lame excuse, not to leave for her children’s protection, and when she FINALLY left with them after they suffered horrible injuries from his hands, she decided to believe his crude lies!! Oh my god, if I was OP, or one of the sisters, I would leave, and never, ever talk to her again. She failed as a mother.

  • @carlcouslin7535

    OH HECK NO, I had been through something similar. OP was right all along. When step-dad went to jail I would have said to mom DONT EVEN! However after a couple of days I would have said grounded because of a drug dealer, punished and humiliated because of him, heck no. Mom just lost her credibility. Wouldn't be too harsh but YEAH, would have driven that point home.

    • @yeetdiscreet1278
      @yeetdiscreet1278 2 года назад +4

      No she deserved to pay for that for YEARS. Even as an adult I’d be making her pay for it.
      She put her kid’s safety at risk around someone who gave less of a shit about her and her kids. She prioritized his happiness over her own child’s with no intention of even investigating any of his claims. OP was a second taste citizen in his own home.
      No, we would have no relationship after that. Sorry doesn’t cut it. She could never apologize enough.

    I used to think the cartoon trope of "Dates obvious villain. Thinks everyone who tells them is just jealous," was just from cartoons and reddit posts. But a friend's mom (beautiful woman btw) started dating this trainwreck of a guy who is a diabetic alcoholic, and apparently does cocaine on occasions. He blacks out every other time they see each other, and I've been around one of those blackouts. It was terrifying. He loses all sense of placement and denies blacking out while clearly wobbling on his feet.
    This is a mother with 2 teens still in her house, and 2 adult children. Every time her kids tell her "this guy is sketchy mom. No I don't want to be around him mom," She accuses them of not wanting their mom to date or live her own life. *Eyeroll* No, dude, it's just that you're a MILF 8 dating a sketchball 5. A 5 who has physically threatened one of her teens for being "disrespectful." I really wish she looked in the mirror and realized that she's too good for this shit, but alas, people are their own worst enemy.

    So for that 1st story. If ur kids don't like someone right away and even say there's someone off about them. Then there's a good chance the kids are seeing/sensing something you yourself are not.
    Example: i was that kid. I was instinctively terrified of my birthmother's boyfriend. I refuse to go into the house alone if he was there. Turns out he did it with his 14yold neice n had a kid who was the same age as my older brother.
    So yeah listen to your kids. Instinct are there to help us with the issues we cant always see n kids instincts are usually stronger then most

    Knowing someone within the Police can some times be the best thing ever when you have a specific problem just bringing up to any Police officer wouldn't work.
    I have an uncle who works within some special department of my states Police and even if I haven't talked with him since new years 2020 before C-Virus happened, I bet I could at any point I want call him and ask for "Police help" and he'd drop anything to help, even if he was in duty atm.

    13:41 Considering a local cop had pictures of the guy talking to stepdick and was clearly already trying to get information and build a case, yes absolutely Op's life would have changed. It may not have been a week but the anvil was coming. Although it probably would have just been a similar, although delayed, outcome. With op's mom spending so much time away working and the police clearly already being somewhat aware of what stepdick was doing I doubt op or their mom would have been implemented in the trafficking scheme. They would probably have been traumatized by the sudden drug raid though..

    From story 2: The mom said where they were, then when he pressured them into it said where they were. I use to help women. The main thing I always said was "If you tell one person the person you d0n't want to know will find you. If you tell one person, you have to leave. I will not risk the welfare of those here because of one person". I love my mom just as op does, but I would have beat his ass to the freaking ground. As much as my mom would have said no, I wouldn't have stopped until he was dead or knocked out. Whichever came first. I don't know if I could have left him "barely alive". I would have to make sure he never did that to any other family. He would have left, but not walking or living.

They possibly will cheat on you and tell everyone you are a real sun of a .. while you are really not. But women which are even been beaten by their devilish boyfriend or husband, keep staying with them or keep going back for more. What's with those women? Please tell me.

    i dont know if i buy that first story. i mean...she already decided the kid was telling lies after being told about the strange man in the house, but believes him about bags of drugs sight unseen and confronts him without first seeing said drugs? and why would the kid not want to show her that first? id maybe believe it a bit more if he were younger but if hes old enough to have friends that drive or that its his mother thinks its plausible for him to have a bag of pills...im not sure i believe that.

    My mom was in an abusive relationship an stayed for near 12 years I never lived with her because I hated him but she would ask me to move in with them I don't remember this as I've blocked a lot of childhood memories for various reasons now I love my mother and she was the breadwinner only one with a job so she could've kicked him out or left herself but it took years he wasn't classic controlling she could go anywhere do whatever she wanted he just stayed at a bar and drank then go home get pissed and the next time I'd see her bruised head to toe on occasion so I've seen abuse up close and I have a not so nice way of looking at it as she could have left she didn't that's on her she didn't deserve what happened but she easily could have gotten out it's sad but that's that he's dead now fun fact he was beaten severely twice because he beat my mom one was her friend M badass dude then my dad who M would never mess with he was big and nasty both beat him separately and bad.

    Drug story sounds like bad fan fic. Op see weird men coming into house but doesn’t take pictures and expects mom to just take him at his word. Then does the exact same thing with the drugs. And doesn’t make sure the drugs are still there before telling his mom. This plot has been done to death in so many stories. Does op hate cameras cause he caught the step dad doing shady stuff so many times yet refused to take pictures each time and expected people to take him at his word after his reputation was tarnished for failing to prove his accusations more than once. Op sounds stupid af.

    The last story is one where the violence is perpetuated to the next generation. Bob got beat up by the son(and everyone cheers), but you will then see the son become violent to his family.
    Generational violence is a thing.
    Let's not celebrate the son beating up dear old dad.

      Yes.
      The mom was so beaten down, and the kids were so beaten down. Losing your job or losing a contract is NO excuse to beat your family. NO EXCUSE! The man blamed everyone and everything but himself. I can guarantee you that he was abusive well before this, his wife and kids were targets.
      Some women will never learn that you never give your abuser a second chance!

    that first story sounds a bit fake. I mean, it's lacking info most stories get, the mom AND brother (especially that last one considering he was a mediator) ignoring OP, the scales while not impossible seem VERY unlikely, the fact the stepdad hid the drugs despite having no reason to believe someone had found them, his petty attempts at screwing over OP.....
    I'm not saying it's an impossible story, but it sure sounds fake to me.
