Watercolor Painting Series - Aeryn and Easton - Part 2

I'm working on a new watercolor painting called Aeryn and Easton and I decided to record the process! For now, they will be divided up into parts as I work on it, but I may create one big video at the end when I finish the entire piece.
In this session, I am working on the stone in the background. I can be a little messy during this part, because many, many layers will be painted on top, covering up any mistakes. I use a blue/grey as a base, but also add in other colors like purple, magenta, teal and brown to make the stone seem more alive. As I work, I sprinkle salt into the wet watercolor paint to create the speckled effect.
