Greetings. The Peruvian dishes that they serve generally have to be eaten combined with all the ingredients served, so that there is an explosion of flavor in the taste buds. ANTICUCHOS are only made from beef hearts, not chicken or any other meat.
U have to soak thrm in syrup!and chicharron is not pork rinds, we have them but in this case is chunks of pork! And the anticuchos u have to eat them with the aji sauce, otherwise u are missing on the flavor, and yes my country is deliciousness in food, the pastries, the cakes, the enpanadas the postres, nothing conpares to them, believe me, i know, rnjoy!
You are in Perú, this means 4,000 varieties of potatoes (official recognized) and 3,800 are edible, in the world we have 5,500 varieties aproximately, try to eat if you are in Cusco 100 varieties at least, when you return to your country you will be proud of say, we ate 100 different kinds of potatoes or more, 90 more potatoes than more than 99.99 % of all the population in your country have ever ate in their whole life. You will be part of the only and unique less than 1% of the people with an particular experience in the world, the resto will be average.
Different day, different vendor. But it's true, visitors should be careful eating from food stands. Even many of the locals we talked to in Cusco suffered from food poisoning as well.
