I agree! Love all the new Super Metroid titles made for the SNES. I think there is about 10 at least. These titles should have been made within the SNES era, but better late than never.
Thanks so much for featuring Dango Dash in this video! I've been working very hard on this for over a year and I hope people will have a lot of fun with it. 😊
True. Countless hours in my childhood were sunk into my dad's modest Game Boy library. Tetris, Centipede, The Hunt for the Red October, Battleship, Radar Mission, Monopoly, etc.
Great to see you giving some Homebrew games a look! All great games! - The reason there's so many adventure games on the GB is because of the game engine called GB Studio which lets you make them easily using a drag and drop visual interface.
The Machine, Dango Dash, 2021 Moon Escape, and Wing Warriors DX all look especially fantastic - can’t wait to check these out. I haven’t played many GB or GBC games as I never had a GB back in the day, but it looks like it’s got quite a homebrew scene going now. Thanks for the video!
As soon as I saw the box with the name Indestructotank on it, I knew what game it was. I played the original flash version so much back in the day. I really hope the devs of the GB version credited the original author ("Tony" on Armor Games) somewhere, because otherwise it's a blatant rip-off.
I assume the reason GB/GBC is getting so many adventure games is because of GB Studio, which is like RPG Maker for Game Boy. Notice how the text boxes have the same sliding animations across the different games. But it looks like they created some really unique games still. Also GB Studio got updated with more genres, maybe we will see some more variety soon.
Saw this video back when it was uploaded. Amazingly, all of the games are still available. Please tell them we want you to send you more review copies. As usual, you do a great work reviewing this type of products and its hard to find a decent gameplay analisys.

@@MetalJesusRocks I like casual and puzzle games. We didn't get enough of them in the SNES/GENESIS era. I also wish we had a SNES version of Scrabble that was released for the Game Boy Color. Minnesota Fats: Pool Legend from the GENESIS should have also had a SNES port.

This video has been on my watch later for so long. Happy to have the time during the holidays to finally watch it. Great to see new games for retro systems.
I had never gotten a new game for an old console... but after watching this video I will! I just gotta save up some money! I think an interesting facet of videogames is that the physical side of this medium does make a difference. Even when you get a new pc that runs a new digital game, you're always impressed with what your new hardware can do. Everyone still focuses on the hardware, to an extent. I mean, the material used in a sculpture or the instrument used in a piece of music changes how we percieve that work of art. Ditto for hardware. The hardware a game is designed for is its "canvas," so to speak. And to use a retro "canvas" is an amazing idea. And to further have a physical cartridge that you put into a physical device enhances a gamer's immersion. I think this is because of the transition from "this world" to a "virtual world" that such an act provides. Anyway.... I'm rambling a bit... Thank you Metal Jesus for always highlighting projects like this! And thank you for always highlighting the physical side to this digital medium. Whether you're focused on feelies from big box pc games, retro hardware, new games for retro hardware, or projects like the Evercade, you help the rest of us appreciate videogames in a new way!
Ended up picking up 5 of these in rom form and they are fantastic games, the machine honestly is the most unique experience I've had in a minute and I'm loving in! Definitely would love to see more to build my collection!
Really enjoyed this as a change of pace. Would love to see more like this in future videos. I know there's a lot of gaming communities and developers making new games for retro consoles but I just don't have the time to look into them or even know where to start. Would be cool to see more in this style or adjacent to this format on the topic of new developments in the retro scene.
@@incube8games well I just picked up the digital versions of Deadeus, Pine Creek and The Machine so I'll have to see! Just booted op Deadeus and it's awesome so far. Especially the music.
@@MetalJesusRocks Oh no. They absolutely are not. But let's be serious, the first game is a port of a classic. No innovation in gameplay AND no graphical enhancement makes this lazy and uninspired. The only interesting bit is it being on an N64 cart. Calling bad games out for their flaws makes actually good games stand out.

Out of these games I've played and completed three.
