I love the fact that new games are still being made for retro systems. Freaking amazing. 😎
Reggie! I'm gonna pass on some of these games to ya next time we hang out. 👍
Keeping the dream alive
I agree! Love all the new Super Metroid titles made for the SNES. I think there is about 10 at least. These titles should have been made within the SNES era, but better late than never.
@@MetalJesusRocks Hey what was that music in the background playing on the destructive tank game review that music is fire🔥🔥🔥
they are all being made by 1 man team lol its not like this is a big studio making these. This is no different than the millions of flash games
Thanks so much for featuring Dango Dash in this video! I've been working very hard on this for over a year and I hope people will have a lot of fun with it. 😊
Thank you for creating something new for us to rediscover our love for handheld gaming
Amazing how fun such simple Game Boy games can be
100% Truth 👆
sometimes less is more..:)
Fun in their simplicity.👌🏽
True. Countless hours in my childhood were sunk into my dad's modest Game Boy library. Tetris, Centipede, The Hunt for the Red October, Battleship, Radar Mission, Monopoly, etc.
Some great GB Studio representation here!
Great to see you giving some Homebrew games a look! All great games! - The reason there's so many adventure games on the GB is because of the game engine called GB Studio which lets you make them easily using a drag and drop visual interface.
Couldn't agree more!
@RetroBreak is 100% the king of homebrew handheld game reviews and I was thinking of your channel while watching this!
It's really cool to see new games being made for old systems, once things get further along I bet they'll be able to make 32-bit and 64-bit games
can’t wait to watch this later tonight
Thank God people still make games for old systems ✊
145 days No Alcohol 🏆🥇
It's fantastic to see new games being made for older consoles/handhelds.
I suggested you'd make a video on this topic a while back. So happy you made this! Love your content.
Glad you liked it!!
New to your channel, sir. I got into collecting recently. Watching you and your crew discuss these games males the collecting more fun for me
Awesome, thank you!
It's awesome to see new games for old systems. Will have to get some. Thanks MJ.
It’s so awesome to continue seeing all the love and support for these systems I grew up with . Thanks for sharing ! You rock
Heyo MJR! 🤘Love the old stuff. Grew up with these.
Love the Be Kind to Animals puzzle game. Very cute when they reach the food goals.
Its my most underrated release in my opinion. I'm glad MJR gave it some attention it deserves.
I love this so much! Great to see new old games on real cartridges! Amazing!
Glad you enjoyed the video!
The first game seems like the
ironic games
that
CircleToonHD
makes fun of
8:30
I thought this was the future.
I thought the box was flashing it's LED lights.
I thought that the cardboard has some fancy magic like
Harry Potter newspapers
It's cool to see these new homebrew games still being made!
I like that 4-tier release idea. Keeps everyone happy.
Glad to see that kind of approach, you can see so much love and care within those games and it's physical releases!
Dope video!!
Glad you liked it!!
Indestructotank is a gb port of a very famous and popular Flash game of the same name. I love when Flash crosses over with retro (like Alien Hominid).
Alien Hominid was a flash game?
@@HALFSQUASHED It was initially, but then they made a full game out of it. It even got an obscure GBA port in Europe.
@@HALFSQUASHED yea.
@@NipplesTheEnchilada2323 I have the GBA game on my Vita and I remember the gorgeous looking GC version.
As soon as I saw the box with the name Indestructotank on it, I knew what game it was. I played the original flash version so much back in the day. I really hope the devs of the GB version credited the original author ("Tony" on Armor Games) somewhere, because otherwise it's a blatant rip-off.
Nice to see new games for older handhelds and consoles!
Always keep an eye out for new games on old systems - I love knowing that passionate programmers are creating new content!
This is awesome metal Jesus
I still have my old consoles and never got rid of them. I know vintage and retro consoles are popular for collecting I did not realize some companies are still making games for 35+ year old systems that's really cool.
Don't quite get why Big2Small had to be released on 64, I mean it looks like a GBC game
It's available on GBC as well.
I assume the reason GB/GBC is getting so many adventure games is because of GB Studio, which is like RPG Maker for Game Boy. Notice how the text boxes have the same sliding animations across the different games. But it looks like they created some really unique games still. Also GB Studio got updated with more genres, maybe we will see some more variety soon.
Roo is awesome, He gave me Chips Challenge Rom after I told him I only use Everdrive. Awesome team!
The Machine, Dango Dash, 2021 Moon Escape, and Wing Warriors DX all look especially fantastic - can’t wait to check these out. I haven’t played many GB or GBC games as I never had a GB back in the day, but it looks like it’s got quite a homebrew scene going now. Thanks for the video!
Thank you for the good words!
It's amazing how many retro games are on old consoles for video games on your TV!
Hold Up! Chip's Challenge for the SNES? I got to get that, being a fan of Chip's Challenge! It would be nice to have The Incredible Machine ported over to the SNES as well.
That's a great idea!
@@MetalJesusRocks I like casual and puzzle games. We didn't get enough of them in the SNES/GENESIS era. I also wish we had a SNES version of Scrabble that was released for the Game Boy Color. Minnesota Fats: Pool Legend from the GENESIS should have also had a SNES port.
Yeah but you can't eat it. Only your character in the game can eat the one chip challenge. You level up your stats by eating peppers and stuff then you attempt it
What a weird game
And i wait for old games on a "new" console. Not evercade, great stuff. I hope for Disney Afternoon Collection on Switch. What do you think?
Good video1 Nice to see new games come out for older systems! Always liked Chip's Challenge on the Atari Lynx.
chips challenge!! hell yeah love that game, so many memories
So cool someone is doing this. These games look sick.
I literally just bought an OG Game Boy and Tetris with Super Mario Land. We loved it as kids but...I forgot how ADDICTING TETRIS IS!
Yep! It's a classic for a reason. 👍
I just picked one up too for 10 bucks at goodwill! Came with the original charger too! It was definitely taken care of by whoever had it before. Also scored Tetris, golf, and yoshi, just cause they were there
Something so enjoyable about the way you present/commentate over your videos. Keep it up MJ👍🏻
Thanks a ton!
This video has been on my watch later for so long. Happy to have the time during the holidays to finally watch it. Great to see new games for retro systems.
Hope you enjoyed it!
That's super cool. I've really been shying away from new releases in favor of old games, but these seem right up my alley. Thanks for sharing, MJ!
Everything old is new again. And it's AWESOME!
very cool! I *just* got my Analogue Pocket the other day so this is great timing! thanks
Perfect timing, MJR! I'm about to mod my Gameboy Color with a backlit screen and those games you highlighted looked amazing. Had no idea anyone was still making new games for such an old handheld!
Me: Oh, I've got Deadeus! Also me: I guess I don't REALLY have it... That's a sweet CE, I didn't even know it was ever available.
Great video! I hope you make more videos of new games for old systems.
Ok,this is just cool.
Really enjoyed this as a change of pace. Would love to see more like this in future videos. I know there's a lot of gaming communities and developers making new games for retro consoles but I just don't have the time to look into them or even know where to start. Would be cool to see more in this style or adjacent to this format on the topic of new developments in the retro scene.
Wing Warriors DX looks fantastic!
I played that game a TON this week. Quality game for sure.
Awesome video man 😎!
You ROCK Metal Jesus! Keep up the fantastic videos :D
This is pretty cool. I like seeing new games being made for the older consoles.
What would be really cool is if someone came up with some game genie codes for these new games…. At least for the game boy ones. Though to be honest I’m not even sure if my game genie works on my analogue pocket, I have not tried it.
It's great that they are making new game for older systems it definitely keeps those older systems alive Limited run has two Gameboy games on their web site right now and I think they are rpg games
Saw this video back when it was uploaded. Amazingly, all of the games are still available. Please tell them we want you to send you more review copies. As usual, you do a great work reviewing this type of products and its hard to find a decent gameplay analisys.
I love this!
These games look amazing
Tell us which one is your favorite! :)
@incube8games @incube8games @incube8games @incube8games 😃 I checked out your website too haha. They all look amazing but I really loved the idea behind the machine, love doing multiple runs with choics, destructo tank looks like an amazing arcade game, I love the space vibe of moon escape, I love the horror of pine creek and deadeus
@@RedBeardRetroTech The Machine is a one of a kind game! We have a lot of different games for every taste :)
Big2small is also on Gb and Dreamcast
Oof, that N64 game... it looks like when they put shovelware on the Dreamcast and people get excited for it. I just don't understand it.
Admittedly the graphics aren't anything to get excited about, but the puzzles are legit. My brain was hurting trying to solve them 😂
Those custom PCB's on the Incube8 Games are awesome.
Fantastic !! those games are love for the retro
Super fun list! The Machine looks fantastic
He is!
I had never gotten a new game for an old console... but after watching this video I will! I just gotta save up some money! I think an interesting facet of videogames is that the physical side of this medium does make a difference. Even when you get a new pc that runs a new digital game, you're always impressed with what your new hardware can do. Everyone still focuses on the hardware, to an extent. I mean, the material used in a sculpture or the instrument used in a piece of music changes how we percieve that work of art. Ditto for hardware. The hardware a game is designed for is its "canvas," so to speak. And to use a retro "canvas" is an amazing idea. And to further have a physical cartridge that you put into a physical device enhances a gamer's immersion. I think this is because of the transition from "this world" to a "virtual world" that such an act provides. Anyway.... I'm rambling a bit... Thank you Metal Jesus for always highlighting projects like this! And thank you for always highlighting the physical side to this digital medium. Whether you're focused on feelies from big box pc games, retro hardware, new games for retro hardware, or projects like the Evercade, you help the rest of us appreciate videogames in a new way!
the hard and painful part of these vids is seeing something fun and interesting and going to the site only to see the game is sold out or was a limited print then seeing it go for hundreds on ebay :(
They sometimes do additional print runs. Follow them on social media 👍
Will never happen with my games.
@@MetalJesusRocks will definitely follow but so far the 4 copies of Pine creek on ebay are $250-$350 when they originally were going for $60. I can't justify paying that much. Still appreciate the video but I'm seeing this happen a lot most recently Heidelberg 1693 as that games 75-90
@@leeokami1021 Don't worry! A new production of Pine Creek and Deadeus will be out soon! Bye Bye Ebay scalpers :D
@@incube8games gonna follow you guys, expect a purchase from me as soon as you guys have units back in stock. Love this community
Ended up picking up 5 of these in rom form and they are fantastic games, the machine honestly is the most unique experience I've had in a minute and I'm loving in! Definitely would love to see more to build my collection!
Very cool topic for a video MJR! Pine Creek and Deadaus both look awesome! Would like to get them for sure!!!!
I used to play indestructotank back in the day! Super cool to see physical cartridges of it. All of these games look great!
Twin Peaks for GBC looks pretty interesting. Thanks for the video!
I do appreciate the different levels of purchases. Awesome getting new games on old consoles. I recently picked up The Cursed Knight, Demons of Asteborg & Life On Mars all for my Genesis!
Loooove that pixelated look on the Analogue Pocket!!!! Really resembles my old CRT. Analogue did the fantastic job there!!
Great Video 5 Stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I've already ordered half of these. Can't wait.
The little dancing in that first gameboy game is awesome.
Love this kind of retro review that's new ❤
Glad you enjoyed it!
This is a collection of *awesome* games
these look good!
Ive never heard of it, new games for old consoles, thats awesome!!
Wow chips challenge what a throwback! Loved playing that game on Windows 95!
indestructotank is literally just a remade flash game, check it out, as in its seemingly identical to the flash version
Nice to see you again. I only really watch when you cover Game Boy.
Awesome video , inspirational to us smaller creators 👍👍
Wow looks interesting thanks for sharing
Thanks for visiting
Nice retro. Keeps everyone happy.
Would they send them to europe? Really enjoying playing gameboy again after so many years.
We do ship worldwide! :)
@@incube8games nice one. 😊
Love that news games are being made, it feels like the return of vinyl!! So cool
The Machine my favourite indie games of 2022. I had a ton of fun playing through it numerous times.
4:20 me? Reminds me of Earthworm Jim's mini games. 😆 🤣 😂
So cool. Thanks mjr. After all the nasty stuff LRG did, I was looking for a new place to buy some of these old games, so this video is quite timely.
We try to put all the love we can in our games! ❤
Glad to see new games for old handhelds. They are my favorite systems to game on.
Great games and presentation
Thank you 👍
I love my Gameboy growing up so seeing new games in the modern era still breathing life into them just makes me happy. I am definitely going to look into some of these!
These types of videos should be filed under the catagory of, "Metal Jesus- Resurrected Games."
I absolutely loved "Chips' challenge" for windows 95? or 98?! by far the best game that came with that "entertainment pack"
It still holds up so well 🙌
It's also available on Steam, alongside the sequel.
so cool!
Thank you for this video!
I was just saying the other day, I wish there were still NEW games being made for the Gameboy and GBA.
This is awesome! I'm checking them out now
Couldn't agree more!
Wing Warriors looks dope thanks
It is
Wing Warriors I think started out as an SMS game and was also converted to game gear but you can't get an actual GG release apparently, which is something I would definitely like as my game gear collecting has petered out.
I have Chip's Challenge on Lynx...I got it few years ago never knowing there was Lynx version until I bought and collected for recently. Now I find out it was actually FIRST made for Lynx, crazy! (Jezz Ball, Minesweeper, MS Paint, and Chips Challenge- good ol' grade school days on Win 95/98).
Very happy I clicked on this video. Definitely gonna pick up some of those GB games!
Which one is your favourite?
@@incube8games well I just picked up the digital versions of Deadeus, Pine Creek and The Machine so I'll have to see! Just booted op Deadeus and it's awesome so far. Especially the music.
I have the Analogue Pocket so it's nice to see that new games for Gameboy are being made 👍
I truly had no idea that these were still a thing. Very interesting.
Isn't it!
