Gatlin, the point you highlighted about the insufficient time for the women in 100m and 200m, it's unfair! The women should be given time enough to prepare just as you said. That's a valid point.

Being from New Jersey, we are very proud of Sydney McLaughlin. I consider the moments watching her races with my 8 year old daughter very special to me because they are the ultimate example to my daughter that she can do anything in life if she works hard and applies herself. I do wish the US put more emphasis on celebrating track and field athletes like Jamaica does though (As Justin and Asafa Powell recently discussed on another video). I just Googled "Sydney McLaughlin parade" and I saw 0 results relating to this. I find it absurd that there is no way to publicly celebrate an international hero who is from my home state. If I'm wrong, please let me know because I'd love to attend such an event.

Kudos to Tebogo. Similar to Sha'carri losing the 100m( for whatever reasons we believe) i personally won't keep harping on why they lost. A race is always about who's better on that given day. So congrats again to Tebogo. Now thats done i gotta say The Noah Hate has been wild😅(of course not from the podcast). But if we're entertaining a Healthy Noah I definitely believe he would've won against Tebogo. Folks are forgetting this Man did not lose a 200m race for 3yrs. Not to mention he's placed higher in all 7 races him and Tebogo competed in pre Olympics. But ultimately it was Tebogo day and all i can do is congratulate him 👏🏿.
Sydney is the Goat and I'm just hoping she finally goes serious for the 400m. Michael Johnson did seem confident recently that she would 😉. Her and a Paulino matchup is definitely more competitive than the false Femke rivalry..No offense to Femke but anybody should've known just speed wise Bol couldn't compete with Sydney. Sydney i feel definitely can potentially break that WR in the 400👀

Heck, when has Lyles ever gone sub 19.46s? He went once only, in his 19.31s. Every single race after that would have been won by a 19.45s sprinter. People think of Lyles and think 19.31s. When we think of Lyles we should think of a 19.5s ish sprinter, that's what he delivers, that's what he is worth. Even Shelly's manager admitted that they only needed to walk for about 5 mins and they had enough time to warmup before the semi finals. Don't you think ShaCarri's team would have made a complaint if she had to walk for an hour before the semi finals? Yes it sucked that they couldn't go through the same entrance as the previous day and Paris seemed unorganized but they had the next entrance was a 5 minute walk and they both had enough time to warm up. ShaCarri was able to compete and Shelly got injured during warmup. You seem to have issues thinking that everyone is hating on ShaCarri. Nothing in my previous comment gives off hate. You need to examine yourself.

There's a curse on the USA men's 4x100 team. Different coaches, different personnel, same results - decade after decade. It's got to be something beyond natural causes.

Zurich DL has confirmed Mondo will race Karsten over 100m on Wed Sept. 4 the day before the Zurich DL which will have Hocker, Kerr, Nuguse & Jakob race the 1500m on Thurs Sept. 5 🔥 S/O W200m Podium; Brittany Brown, Juju & Gabby who like Allyson is gonna rack up medals in the 200/4x1/4x4 over the next few yrs, would love to see her finally run sub 21.8s outside Eugene as Shericka has run between 21.41 - 21.71 four times outside Eugene which matters a lot! 19yr old JaMeesia Ford if she keeps progressing will be the next big thing in the 200m over the next 4yr OLY Cycle, looking forward to her development! Quite possible that a 31yr old Lyles in LA '28 doesn't win OLY 200m Gold going up against a 25yr old Tebogo & 29yr old Kenny as 21yr old Tebogo with 9.86/19.46/30.69/44.29 PBs who split 43.04 (2nd fastest ever) with 7 races already in his legs is the Generational Talent that 27yr old Lyles thinks he is!

Most would want both Kerley and Bednarek in the 4x100M final after getting on the podium in the 100 & 200M. Coleman and Bednarek are experienced enough and should've been able to handle a baton pass. I think Coach's rationale was to have Kerley as the closer. I'd trust him more in that position over Bednarek also if the final leg was tight.
Also, the US has always had a wealth of talent in short sprints. This is both a blessing and a curse when it comes to relays in that different guys might be dominant over the course of a few years. Most countries have to rely on essentially the same guys over longer periods affording them more consistency.

Agreed. I don't understand why the USA 4x100 just didn't swap out Lindsey for Bednarek? The prelim team was faster. Japan had no one in the final and, yet, ran sub-38 for 5th. I agree with legends Carl Lewis and Michael Johnson. Blow up the system because it is not working.

Why would anyone question Sydney’s schedule? It seems to be working perfectly well for her. She has the best coach in the business as far as I’m concerned. The only question I had during the Olympics was why she didn’t run the anchor in the mixed 4 X 400 relay. They knew she would be running against Bol. Sydney would have destroyed her and it would have guaranteed a Gold Medal. I guess they didn’t want to show what she had. Bol is great in the 400 hurdles but Sydney is Superwoman. I’m convinced she would dominate the flat 400 as well. I think the light schedule is because she is looking to set some World Records in other distances. I have never seen anyone run so fast looking so effortlessly. She absolutely demoralized Bol in the finals. You could see it in her body language and her face. Sydney literally made up the stagger and flew by her like she was standing still. Cockrill went by her for the Silver and I’m pretty sure it was the first time she beat Bol. We will definitely see more from Sydney. I really think she wants to go sub 50 and then look at the 200, 400 and maybe 800.

All these excuses for the men’s 4x100m relay. We saw multiple videos of those USA men in relay camp, so save it. Yes they should have kept the same order and just put Courtney on anchor, but Kenny went off too soon, and that’s just how the cookie crumbled.

I watched it a few times in slow motion. Kenny took off when the French team hit the mark. Kenny was looking upside down between his legs because he was down in the 3 pt stance. A mistake that just wouldn’t be made if he would’ve started from the standing position.

@@jaymanley1706 exactly, I peeped that from jump. It’s sad they’re tryna make Kenny feel better about himself by bringing Coleman down talking about his top end speed is not that good. Kenny went off early, and ain’t nothing anyone could have did to catch him before he exited the zone.
