I’m so happy I found you on RUclips. Not many people working on GTi’s on here, not that I know of. Great video
Try allen yoho, also I will be buying one soon and modding on my RUclips channel.
I got a GTI and im modding it a got a vfew videos to upload, i got a mk6 6speed so sub up videos coming soon!
Are you serious? There are hundreds of videos of people working on the MK7 GTI, and thousands of videos of people working on GTI’s in general on RUclips. Everything he is doing to his GTI has already been done many times over, with a plethora of videos on it for the GTI. Do you not know what the search button is?
@@JacesOwnWorld I’ve probably seen every video on RUclips with GTi / Golf R builds etc.. I haven’t seen much people post videos on GTi recently. Maybe you can help me Jace and list a few down below . Makes my life easier
@@malowmo1440 since you seem to be new to the search bar on RUclips (LOL), type in “MK7 GTI” and then in the filters section with the three bars, click on that, and then click the “upload date” option. You will see every most recent MK7 GTI vid posted, from earliest on. Good luck 🤣
I don’t care what car you’re working on, you do an amazing job teaching others and it helps me a lot
ur like building the car that has taken me 6 months to get to this point in like a week
I feel like when you go this fast you miss out on the journey
Right so far I've only got a exhaust. Have the intake but waiting to put it in till the turbo inlet comes in
@@HarryTwatter i completely agree
If you build your car fast you tend to get bored of it and want something new, that’s why youtubers constantly buy new cars, they finish cars within a week
That’s what happens when you have money smfh
This man is tempting me to purchase a GTI and do everything he’s doing to his car. He’s making me want to mod the car
Same lol
One of the best parts of the GTI is how quiet the interior is. It does not feel or sound like a cheap economy car.
You should look to disable the soundaktor. It's a little device that pumps amplified audio from the engine into the cabin. The car sounds much better with it turned off, you can hear the turbo spooling. I have had it off for 4 years now, it's night and day. You can either just unplug it, or you can code if off / code it to a lower volume using ODB Eleven, or VCDS.
Or you can unplug and remove it completely. I wrapped the end with electrical tape just in case.
I just did a rear sway bar and end links. If they offer them for the gti I highly recommend it as an upgrade. Keeps the car planted to the ground.
Such an underrated channel...Keep up the quality content bro
Just bought in the same colour and going straight in for stage 3 tune and full system exhaust 👌🏻 cool to see this!! Gives me an idea what it’s going to be like
I have a 2017 Gti where I bought that blow off valve, excellent video bro
I love what your doing bro, I’m in the market in buying golf Gti and this super helpful thank you 🙏 love the content keep it going bro
Same here! Haha currently on the market now! How’s your journey?
It would of been cool if you had gone to the same street where you first did the test run on the stock catback, to see back to back comparison then hit the canyon. Still love the video just a thought I had, I think it makes a difference driving on the street in town vs out in the canyons.
Well to someone who has no tools you break down all the stages on how to do stuff brilliantly thanks so how do I get some stuff for my 1.4 gte golf love it you want to see some pics
Yea a down pipe will make a big difference. Depending on where u live at I live in nc and I use a catless down pipe and I haven’t seen another vw with a turbo back as good as my magniflow turbo back
I am skeptical on getting a Downpipe, because I really dont think i'd be able to do it all by myself with how tricky these stock downpipes are, so I'm looking forward to that video!
I did my Downpipe before catback on my mk6, it came with a cold air intake installed already so I did downpipe next as my first mod I did myself, way easier than people make it out to be
@@zippotricks759 most people make a big deal out of that top bolt you can't get too.
Happy I found this channel. This dude has made me want to get a downpipe installed on my 2013 Fender Beetle. Question; is a tune NECESSARY after installing a downpipe? Only reason I ask is because the only thing I’ve done with it is a resonator and muffler delete. A high flow cat is definitely getting installed along with the downpipe as well.
Yes anytime you install a downpipe you need a tune that can compensate for the extra fuel needed for the car to run properly now that you have all that extra air flow 👍🏻
My dad has a mk7 gti with a vortex turbo and all the goodies to support it up here in cottonwood AZ(about 15min from Sedona) and a couple of buddies with stage 2 gti’s it would be super cool to film something showing the difference between all the different stages of the car and it’s potential we would all be down to film
At first i regretted buying the GTI since with just an exhaust i didn’t get much noise but after the down pipe and tune it’s a beast. Coming from the Focus ST I’ll take the GTI any day especially after mods. If i were to keep stock I’ll take the Focus St
Wat tune u get
Great vid, me and a mate just recently installed a milltek cat back system on a s3 and it came with these spacers for the cross bar over the centre section. (The black thing lol) I think u might need it it didn’t look like u had any on... they were 15mm it stopped the rubbing :)
Can’t wait for more STI content though
I like your video format! Just picked up my 21 MK7 on Sunday! Will definitely want this exhaust !
these vids dope to watch i wanted a gti so bad my whole senior year n i finally got one
It sounded great guys
Can't wait to get mine in and installed..
one of the best car channels on youtube by far
Oooo and it’s got V Band connections👀👀👀 too nice
Hey! You should try to add a thicker black outline on the subtitles... it's a bit hard to read with the white background. Keep up the good work 🤟🏻🤟🏻
Literally could not be happier with you buying a gti, just test drove one and favor it over the 10-14 wrx’s
GTI might be a better car if it was AWD but it aint :/
@@christianc2809 thats what the golf r is for. you have to pay more for a better car, just how it works.
@@twix8970 Yeah but considering a WRX and GTI are closer to price than a GOLF R, I think you get more bang for your buck for a WRX... if it doesn't blow up lol. I've had both a GTI and have a WRX both awesome cars. Always wanted the VW R32.
@@christianc2809 I owned a Mk7 R with full bolt ons and stage 2. Now I have an untuned Mk7.5 GTI with just an intake and catback. Is the GTI as fast? No. Is it it as brutal off the line? No. But the GTI is more fun in daily driving and I can't wait to put the Golf R turbo in it.
@@brekdown29 my opinion is WRX > GTI but Golf R > STi
You make such good content man. Dope GTI btw 🔥
Guess i am watching the whole playlist 😍
Man. Seeing how nice those exhaust bolts are makes me really want to move out of Indiana… 😅
You should play around with that factory launch control if you haven’t used it yet.
The DSG farts get me all the time lol
Sounds good. As you said, you need a race-catalyc convertor or catless downpipe to remove the exhaust restrictions from the stock ceramic cat. On my 2013 Mk7 GTI (Germany) you can remove the 4,000 limiter by putting the car in ESC sport. Not sure if it works on the later NA models. You can have a try.
2013 would be an mk6
@@ittorasetsuxx8077 In US you would be right, but like I wrote in my comment, I am living in Germany. Mk7 Golf came out end of 2012 in Europe, Mk7 GTI was introduced Spring 2013 in Europe.
Lol every time I’m interested in a hatch I find your vids lol. We both had speed3s and although I decided against the ST I’m pumped to pick up my mk7 this week!
Bro buy a matco exhaust hanger plier. They make cake work outta taking exhaust systems off
Has a nice pop sound when on it and shifting...
dsg fart 💨
I'm binge watching these cuz im in the market for one of these lol
Nice quality for sure it should sound better now.
Very nice road for your test...
Are you going to upgrade to the led headlights? They look so much better and aggressive
I've been looking for some for a mk7.5, takes like 2 months to ship ugh
@@HarryTwatter I think the mk7 ones are more available
@@HarryTwatter check bmp tuning I got mine in a week
Ughhh bruh I’m 19 and got a 1.8t mk7 2016 with a blown engine and no job yet and freaking dying to re-build it but watching you just makes me happy bc I’m like yo mine is gonna be way cool and your just giving me like nostalgic memories when I was driving my car not long ago and now I’m just dying to drive it but I can’t my plan is to get a 2.0L with a whole apr tune then an is38 hybrid and pushing about 350-400 hp full on apr everything but watching you hmmm I might need to drive all the way from Florida to Cali and see you for a while review with your car apr against uni and future to make my car all wheel drive but massive plans and just makes me happy to see you in the VDUB community and u just having a blast with it...
Put the car between park and reverse like hold it there with your e brake up just incase you slip and that’ll make you be able to rev up to limiter
Muffled and Resonated Waiting for the 200 Cell Sport Cat.
cant wait to hear with the new downpipe
You’re awesome! I love your channel. How can I get my GTI Mk7.5 spew out sounds of pops and crackles?
..GTI Goals right here..
Getting s gti hopefully soon, also in az!
thanks a lot for the video man, helped a lot. I have the cupra leon, GTI’s brother, I want to have the sound you have when shifting, is it possible installing the catback? is the down pipe a must or what’s the difference installing it or not?
Awesome video! Are these roads around saguaro lake ?
I was watching one of your other videos on installing a turbo, you mentioned how you removed the down pipe, I have a 16 A3 and I got everything out of the way but the down pipe still wasn’t coming out, is there a heat shield or something holding it? I’ve watched other videos but I can’t seem to figure why it’s still stuck on something around the area by the driveshaft and the heat shield
Great video! You doing another one of this car with the DownPipe ?
You should do an fa20 wrx build
Why did you guys not use the new lift when installing the new exhaust?
This was installed before I got the lift
My VW Caddy sounds like this
Do you have any video showing where you put your jack from front and back so its easy to put the stand?
Kind of sounds like my stock exhaust with a 3” downpipe
Sounds like the perfect exhaust for someone who hates exhaust noise 🤣 more like a hamster farting. I love my catless AWE track exhaust
Downpipe.Downpipe.Downpipe🥵
Please do upgraded turbos!
is he the growing guy from the 'disjointed'?
Looks easy when you aren't fighting a rusted shit box 😂😭😭
Why do I feel this so hard 😔 I have the full turboback exhaust kit and I am to afraid to get underneath the car. I know I’m going to get mad, get rust in my eyes, and I also know that the o2 sensor will magically just be too hard to get off and it’ll end up buying another one. So I’m already just gonna buy a replacement before I even start working on it. 😞
what difference will it make if you had change the stock down pipe
Loving the mk7 what kind of suspension upgrades you thinking for it
I want to do this to my Gti but I can’t afford it I wish I knew how to get a sponsorship or something
Maybe get a sway bar and big brakes and take it to the track ?
Love watching your channel!
I live in BC Canada. In Vancouver & Cities around it, we have local police that have now begun targeting cars with aftermarket exhausts. I would suggest checking local laws before doing certain modifications.
good thing we live in america, where you can do what you want. besides cali
Are you going to do a quick sound update with the downpipe?
Anyone think 80k is too many miles to do this to?
Had the car for 3y now and have put on 25-30k since then (just hit 80k).
Couldn't afford it til now.
Thoughts?
How was the drone with just the cat back?
With a stock down pipe and a future cat back install, do I need to to tune it or is stock tune fine?
I'm not seeing where to get the straight piece adapter?? Can someone guide me in the right direction...
3 inch is pointless unless you have a 500 plus hp just costs more. Sounds as good as a lot of stock exhaust with muffler deletes and down pipe.
Can't wait to see what u lower it on. I'm debating on springs right now, really want DP and jb4 too
I got a jb4 for sale barely used and vwr springs
Can install straight pipe to.stock down pipe ? And do you need to tune it
I am so jealous
do you plan on fitting the gti led headlights and taillights, looks more aggressive
Do you plan on getting any Honda’s in the future? Like a civic type r or SI?
I would buy a red Carma Speed Jet tag 👀
What part of Arizona is this at Ive been looking for a place like this to cruise
what road is this that looks mad fun
Why your headlight is not HID?
Hi from Germany :D Some new Headlights would be nice =D
Can this fit in 2015 VW Golf 92TSI?
Man, I have a question. I currently own a 2014 VW jetta. It’s an automatic, but isn’t the dsg. I think my second vehicle is gonna be a gti, but I don’t know if I should get the DSG, or get a manual. I’ve always wanted to drive a manual, but the dsg sounds so good, and overall out performs it. If you could, I’d love your thoughts on this! It’ll help me make my decision.
I have a manual mk7 gti. I love the manual but there is some things I don't like about it. The Rev hang is terrible. Traffic is a pain I live in Toronto so some days I wish I had the dsg
@@Adreyan Never saw your reply. But thanks! I’m still pretty stuck if i’ll be honest; though i’ve got time to decide.. truthfully i wanna test drive both and get a feel for them, and then make my decision.
Need a catless dp
Hey bro how is your floor holding up ? Looks good from afar but I'm curious if it looks good in person after driving on it since it was done
Check out the recent garage videos. I talk about this 🙏🏻
Should have went with COBB.
What is that fan like sound?
My stock exhaust broke at the v clamp. Is it ok to leave it that way?
🤦🏻♂️ sounds identical to stock that’s crazy. I would never waste that much money on a cat back setup when you already have a cat back, stock from the factory, might as well of just thrown some 4” tips on it and sprayed a unitronic stencil on the muffler lol could have saved yourself $1209.99 - 4” tips, spray paint and a stencil lol!
I know its about gti's but wat kind of exhaust would u put on a 09 TDI ?
what tints percentages do you have on the car?
Are their exhausts that come without a muffler?
shinyyyyyy🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
my respect for you went so high purely for the fact that you got a GTI over an R
quiet still
What downpipe you got????
Did you get a Catless DP
What size electric ratchet is that
