If you build your car fast you tend to get bored of it and want something new, that’s why youtubers constantly buy new cars, they finish cars within a week
You should look to disable the soundaktor. It's a little device that pumps amplified audio from the engine into the cabin. The car sounds much better with it turned off, you can hear the turbo spooling. I have had it off for 4 years now, it's night and day. You can either just unplug it, or you can code if off / code it to a lower volume using ODB Eleven, or VCDS.
Just bought in the same colour and going straight in for stage 3 tune and full system exhaust 👌🏻 cool to see this!! Gives me an idea what it’s going to be like
It would of been cool if you had gone to the same street where you first did the test run on the stock catback, to see back to back comparison then hit the canyon. Still love the video just a thought I had, I think it makes a difference driving on the street in town vs out in the canyons.
Well to someone who has no tools you break down all the stages on how to do stuff brilliantly thanks so how do I get some stuff for my 1.4 gte golf love it you want to see some pics
Happy I found this channel. This dude has made me want to get a downpipe installed on my 2013 Fender Beetle. Question; is a tune NECESSARY after installing a downpipe? Only reason I ask is because the only thing I’ve done with it is a resonator and muffler delete. A high flow cat is definitely getting installed along with the downpipe as well.
Yes anytime you install a downpipe you need a tune that can compensate for the extra fuel needed for the car to run properly now that you have all that extra air flow 👍🏻
My dad has a mk7 gti with a vortex turbo and all the goodies to support it up here in cottonwood AZ(about 15min from Sedona) and a couple of buddies with stage 2 gti’s it would be super cool to film something showing the difference between all the different stages of the car and it’s potential we would all be down to film
Great vid, me and a mate just recently installed a milltek cat back system on a s3 and it came with these spacers for the cross bar over the centre section. (The black thing lol) I think u might need it it didn’t look like u had any on... they were 15mm it stopped the rubbing :)
Yea a down pipe will make a big difference. Depending on where u live at I live in nc and I use a catless down pipe and I haven’t seen another vw with a turbo back as good as my magniflow turbo back
I am skeptical on getting a Downpipe, because I really dont think i'd be able to do it all by myself with how tricky these stock downpipes are, so I'm looking forward to that video!
I did my Downpipe before catback on my mk6, it came with a cold air intake installed already so I did downpipe next as my first mod I did myself, way easier than people make it out to be

@@twix8970 Yeah but considering a WRX and GTI are closer to price than a GOLF R, I think you get more bang for your buck for a WRX... if it doesn't blow up lol. I've had both a GTI and have a WRX both awesome cars. Always wanted the VW R32.

Sounds good. As you said, you need a race-catalyc convertor or catless downpipe to remove the exhaust restrictions from the stock ceramic cat. On my 2013 Mk7 GTI (Germany) you can remove the 4,000 limiter by putting the car in ESC sport. Not sure if it works on the later NA models. You can have a try.
