    *NOTICE!* My Cartier Pasha is up for sale at CHRONEXT bit.ly/CrtierPasha Fully Serviced, Box & Papers
    11:42 I managed to solve this problem by getting some great custom straps made for my Cartier Pasha. Take a look at how they turned out: ruclips.net/video/E_l6bvwyNx4/видео.html

    What a great find! Personally, I prefer dressier watches over sporty watches so I find this Pasha to be a really cool and unique way to get that water resistance function and rotating bezel but in a dressy way. Love your use of imagery “splash of champagne”! I can totally imagine this in a posh setting.

    • @ShahLusso
      @ShahLusso  4 года назад +1

      Exactly! The way it toes the line between dress & sports watch is one of my favorite things about it, and while I still don't own a dedicated dress watch yet, I've noticed I do tend to gravitate to the more dressy sports watches vs the full-on tool watches.
      As for the champagne, when I was writing the voice over I figured I always do the typical "beach to boardroom" comparisons when I come across a versitle watch, but this one really lends itself to more fancy black tie dinners that get out of hand and champagne starts going everywhere hehe, nothing like some good old fashioned 1920s/30s decadence to make for good imagery

      Shah Lusso You write great voice over narrations as well. It’s like the stuff I read in longer professionally written articles but in voice form.

    The Pasha is the “nice” watch I’m going to buy. “But for that price you could get a new blah, blah, blah!” Don’t care. I’m smitten with it. I’ll be getting the big date with the rail markers. It’s just a truly gorgeous watch. I’d also love a sister with the mesmerizing blue dial. The Art Deco numbers against the blue just makes me weak in the knees. Cheers! Also, for its size! All of that packed into a 36mm! Very tasteful.

    • @ShahLusso
      @ShahLusso  4 года назад

      Completely agree, it’s one of those watches people either love or just don’t get it, all of its variants are so distinctive and have their own personality. Great choice with the big date version! What do you think of the new version that Cartier reintroduced this year?

      Oh nice! I've got a red strap for mine too, though in Saffiano leather instead of alligator, it's such a versatile design & goes well with so many different straps. Glad the video helped your Pasha get some more wrist time, hope you continue to enjoy it for years to come :D

    Hi Shah, greetings from Italy!
    I would like to know what's your wrist circumference, just to have an idea on how it would look on mine.

    • @ShahLusso
      @ShahLusso  3 года назад +1

      Ciao Alessandro! My wrist is 17cm circumfrence. The good thing about the lugs on the Pasha is that since they pivot right down, it means that it fits most wrists really well compared to watches with solid end links and straighter lugs :)

      @@ShahLusso I'm spoilt for choice now. Found a few others, chronographs, quartz etc. I dont mind going quartz with a Cartier. They are more about the style, not the movement. I'm thinking the leather strap version may be better for me as 'v never really got on with metal bracelets and see leather as a bit more classy maybe?

    • @ShahLusso
      @ShahLusso  4 года назад +1

      Oh there are tons of options when it comes to the Cartier Pasha, chronographs, gmt, quartz, even a perpetual calendar version. And you're in luck if you prefer the leather straps because thats where most of the variants are (still plenty on metal but more on the leather). I actually got a leather strap made for mine and it looks great on the leather, though now its starting to get hotter where i live so its back to the bracelet.
      Good luck with whichever one you end up choosing :)

    Hi I noticed your one doesn’t have the Cartier logo on the bracelet clasp, I picked one up recently which also doesn’t have the logo, did that concern you at all?

    • @ShahLusso
      @ShahLusso  8 месяцев назад

      Mine does - but it’s extremely faint from over polishing by the previous owner, sadly the engravings weren’t as deep on these older Pashas in comparison compared to modern Cartiers.
      If yours is the same generation as mine then you should see the logo on the link on the outside of the clasp, but it may take looking at an angle to see it. If yours is an older pasha then it’s possible it was a model that didn’t have the engraved logo on the clasp.
      Hope that helps :)

    Is it difficult to read? Since the mixed use of square and round dial.

    • @ShahLusso
      @ShahLusso  4 года назад

      in general its pretty easy to read but the only difficulty is when setting it - because the hands are wider around the middle than at their tips, but the wide part overlaps the minutes track, its hard sometimes to know if you're setting it to the right minute, but for at a glance legibility its still decently easy to tell the time

    I agree with you on the sizing issues, maybe a bracelet change will help. Can you recommend a place to get a leather strap ? I currently have the black rubber bracelet and was thinking about replacing it with a black leather strap?

    • @ShahLusso
      @ShahLusso  4 года назад

      I just got a leather strap custom made a few months ago from a place called Coro Customs - he's based in in India, I'm not sure if he ships international or not but its worth a try - you can see pictures of the strap on my IG and it also has a link to his profile.
      Custom seems the way to go for the Pasha, since buying an original Cartier strap would be really expensive & its hard finding pre-made straps that fit the lugs on it.
      Hope that helps :)

    • @RichardsModellingAdventures
      @RichardsModellingAdventures 4 года назад

      @@ShahLusso I make my own watch straps. They are quite easy to make really. The hardest part is buying the exotic leather hide such as Croc or Alligator, at least here in the UK. Lizard is not too bad to find though and considerably cheaper.

    Will cartier re-release the pasha seatimer?

    • @ShahLusso
      @ShahLusso  2 года назад +1

      It’s entirely possible now that they’ve brought back the Pasha collection and killed off the Calibre de Cartier - I could easily see them bring out a modern take on the sea timer

    • @ShahLusso
      @ShahLusso  4 года назад +1

      My pleasure, they really are amazing looking watches with so many details to take in while at the same time still being very subtle. The new Pasha is very good looking, they took the design right back to the 1985 original minus the rotating bezel (which i imagine they'll put in at a later date to perhaps replace the discontinued Calibre de Cartier Diver), and the visible movement is a real plus as well.
      Thanks for watching :)

  • @seekingthetruth3410

    Only had a ETA movement for that price, not worth it, tissot uses the same movement and it only cost $800

    • @ShahLusso
      @ShahLusso  4 года назад +3

      True, but also bear in mind nearly everything in the early 2000s was using ETA movements, and while Tissot make great watches movement isn't always everything - history, design & build quality all play into it to. That being said..not sure i could say the same if they released this version of the Pasha today at full retail and still an ETA movement, but that's probably why Cartier went in house with the 2020 one :)
