I would say the defining characteristic of your personality, Bruce, is that you're in this hobby, not primarily as a show of wealth, or attainment of the exclusive. You're a true fan of impressive design, w/ ever evolving taste, and style. You could easily produce another video, discussing the state of the Rolex market, as so many do, understanding the amount of "clicks" that this topic will generate (and w/ a channel the size of yours, it wouldn't be unsensible). Instead you choose to highlight the rather obscure, or unknown. I believe that videos like these, help to cultivate awareness of some "truly impressive" creations, that for a large part, go unseen as a result of pop-culture. I guess what I'm trying to say is, that there are some truly impressive and "awe inspiring" things in this world that we love so dearly, and videos like this help to cultivate that awareness. The awareness of why we should appreciate our watchmakers and designers, as well as, help to support this historically vital fusion, of both art and engineering. Best wishes to you and your, this holiday season. Cheers.....

What’s hilarious are all the people who think it’s ugly who were ten years ago, and will be again in ten years, drooling over this watch. It’s timeless beauty, not rehashed retro trendy mid-century crap! Almost an avant-garde architectural piece!

I bought this exact watch back in 2007 and it was the first luxury watch I ever bought for myself. While I’ve been fortunate enough to acquire a reasonably nice collection since then, this Pasha is still the watch I get the most compliments on. There’s just something about its uniqueness and wrist presence that needs to be observed in person to understand. I’m excited for your purchase, Bruce, and hope you wear it in good health and happiness.

I like my watches, like I like my cars and shoes. While many have been expensive, that is not a metric I care in the least about. What I personally enjoy is having something that not many others have.
I enjoy showing up to the stoplight and not seeing another example of the car I'm sitting in, whether that be my Bentley Arnage, or my Smart Fortwo.
I despise sneakers, boat shoes, clogs, and the silly things that fit you individual toes. Instead I love a nice double monk strap, or an Allen Edmonds winged ankle boot.
I think Rolex is for the sheep that have a little money, but no thoughts of their own. I think most Tag Heuers with all the chronos will never see a race, time a lap, or experience a single dive. I think anyone spending thousands on a Seiko is simply an idiot.
But my 35mm Cartier Pasha GMT has my heart. I've never seen it on anyone elses arm in real life, only on the screen. Its like Bigfoot. There are rumors its out there, but neither myself nor anyone I know has actually seen it. But me, I got one, and I'm virtually guaranteed that nobody else is wearing one, in any room I'm standing in.
I like the exclusivity of the Pasha. And if that exclusivity is a product of others thinking it ugly, then so be it.

Still in my Wish list but I Hope to pull the trigger sooner or later on this beautiful piece. Pasha de Cartier Is heavily underrated, gotta hurry and buy one before people will notice it, I had the same feeling with the 1911 Ebel sport Chrono, sought after for 8 years, bought in 2018 and now pricing is raising cuz people have started to notice how cool it is..great vid man, greetings from Turin, Italy, ciao!

Well, I do like the watch, ..and I have one to. You can find among some model of pasha some gem, like the 2388 with F Piguet cal, gmt, rot bezel, date, automatic, transp back with finishing. I think is about taste, but I think everybody can agree is a very particular model well balanced. By the way Genta redesign e modernize an original model of the 1943, not a complete invention but sure he refreshed and implemented new lines and features. Well done, in line with Cartier style, modernize but keep traditional. Great choice.

Always admired this watch, the Pasha GMT and the Breitling Colt GMT are my (reasonable) grails. As you said this represents a 'strong elegance' that can only be honed after years of extracting the most nuance from simple geometric shapes. You can really see how Genta was balancing a form that could have easily turned out clunky if one element was out of proportion, while still staying true to the ornamental heritage of Cartier. Its a tightrope act for the wrist and its beautiful to see.

You could definitely pull it off full time but I think you should spike it back up but like watches you gotta change it up every now and then. not my cup of tea, it's a little too flambuoyant for my taste..........i'm not as experimental in my watch journey! although i really like the bracelet .

Nah, can't wear that with t-shirt and jeans. Unless the t-shirt is some higher fashion stuff.

Disagree works well. Mine has a more tool look as it has a grille (modelled on the ‘standard’ diving helmet) got to be one of my most versatile watches!
