It's been a while, but I'm glad another stable release came out....I'm very glad of the team that they've made it happen. Despite they have abandoned the old look, I can appreciate at least setting up the controller much easier than what it used to be before. I did download it very early this morning at around 2am in the morning, so I have yet to try it. If many don't know, back in 2018 PCSX2 was teasing PS1 emulation to work on that emulator, but over the years, many have tested it time and time again. So with the 2.0.0 version of the PCSX2, I'll have to test some of the PS1 games I have in my HDD to see how well they perform compared to the 1.6.0 version. Also, if we're going to a place with a bunch of flies, we absolutely spray "OFF" on our bodies to avoid them...But also, you want to be careful as flies can also bite you on the beach. And another thing, "HOW THE FREAK Did Intel Mess That Part Up With The 13th/14th Gen Processors!?!?.....Holy crow that's extremely bad."
@@SuperFlashDriver Duckstation is pretty dang good and it also kind of gives you more of a separate menu for PS1 games I don't mind using it but this is speaking from some one using it either on their win10 arcade cab with Attract mode or on a Pixel 4 phone. and Nether SX2 on droid. For older HW epsxe is underrated, very enjoyable once in game, software looks old but works well.
That would be another cool feature, but if there's a thunderstorm occuring, hopefully he doesn't get struck with that thing. That dragonfly is also used to attract nats to the top of the head instead of in your face (I can't tell you how many times Nats just come straight for your face and hurt your eyes. And they're small as fudge).
shadps4 is making some insane progress, I'm amazed by how within about a year we went from not having any real working ps4 emulation to actually running/booting some 3d games!
I just hope nobody will DMCA this emulator, I mean taking it down! 😭 I still won’t forgive the BIG N themselves taking down 2 popular emulators on mid 2024! I hate them for that

When I was a toddler I used to call Dragonflies "Hellicopiters". I never saw any reason to fear them, either. They may be larger than most bugs, but they don't hurt people or pets. It's fun watching them fly around each other like they're playing.

It's nearly perfect anyways, runs over 90% of the entire PS2 library. I have tried over 50 games on it all run at full speed, upscaled at least 3x resolution on a $200 smartphone.

Props to the PCSX2 team, and everyone ever involved with that emulator. I still remember when I first discovered PCSX2 about 10 years ago, it ran things respectably on the era of hardware available at the time. Today though, it is a near-proper replacement for an actual PS2. Of the games I play at least, PCSX2 handles them near-flawless, and in many cases, genuinely perfect. Have any of you guys been having input issues with PCSX2 since updates this week? My Xinput controller's right trigger input will read as pressing RT and holding LT, and LT needs to be pressed to no result in order to cancel the hold. This is not an issue with the controller, which works as expected on native PC games.
The only time I've had trouble getting texture replacements to work in PCSX2 is if the game fonts are kept as a random generating texture. Take EQOA for example, every time someone types in a different font character, the game generates a new texture file name with the entire list of memorized letters/numbers/symbols written in the order they were seen. If you're trying to make an HD font, you're not going to get it by replacing those. The next time you boot up the game, it's back to square 1. The only thing I can think of, is to edit the font in the ISO, if you can find it.
wow intel messed up big time with these chips but yeah the PS2 emulator is just amazing, the team is just pretty professional for a free and open source project. i wish the rest of the emulation community would be like that. anyhow, loved the scenery of your video . that rapid was just gorgeous to see. hope you are having a great weekend

There are multiple articles mentioning the intel problems. From the articles I have read, It is only the i9 versions of those gens. I myself use a 13700k. Been using since day one overclocked with zero stability issues. The allegations have been worrysome though since the original stories came out.
I'm in no way an expert on anything emulation, but I believe theoretically maybe if the team try to get Dark Souls III running on ShadPS4 it could help them get Bloodborne functioning aswell since they're running the same game engine therefore may share code? maybe?

Level1Techs has a recent video about the Intel processor thing, and Gamers Nexus also interviewed them about it. The long and short are that the problem might be very big, and it might be something that Intel can't fix with an update. And since it also seems to be affecting servers and not just gaming PCs, Intel might be about to take a serious hit to their market share.
I thought it would fix the 30 frame cap in the second City of ssx3 but is still for some reason. Goes down to 30 frames for me during the section where you go in between the buildings. Does anybody have the issue on pcsx2 that where it gives a black border all around the window instead of full screen?

if you knew how to get nightly builds of PCSX2 the new release wont be much of a change for you but for those noobs out there that only use the official releases PCSX2 2.0 is a game changer especially the Texture replacements that allows you to use AI up-scaled textures produced by the community that practically remasters the games over all look now we just need someone to use Nvidia remix with it and get the remasters of games that would bring them to the modern world with RT and all the glitter that comes with it.
I have been waiting to play games in 8K. I have been using the daily updated version of PCSX2 for awhile, and that only maxes out at 5K. The 1.7 version can do 8K, but it still doesn't look even as good as the 4K daily updated version. Now I can finally play PS2 games in 8K with the highest quality. I wish I could do 16K; it would even look even sharper,heck i would even like 20 yea im a graphics whore i guess

Really hoping PCSX2 can figure out a decent netplay situation soon. That's the one thing preventing it from being god-tier like Dolphin in my opinion.

Biggest upgrade for PCSX2 for me is that per-game configurations now work on emudeck, which is a godsend
