Did you replace the cluster rpm /speedo by any chance?? Because the only Volvo 5 cylinder were the redline is a 7K rpm is the non turbo and also the R. The T5 and the 2.4t/2.5t engines the redline is a 6k rpm.
No it's stock cluster from T5 2005.
The cluster rpm have "soft/hard" red zones, between 6k-7k there is red but with thinner lines and between 7k-8k same but with thicker lines in the cluster, and I think this is what you see in the video because the GoPro doesn't see the thin red lines between 6k-7k correctly.
The R version is actually have the redline at 6800 rpm (two thin lines and the rest is thicker lines) and the non turbo (2.4 140hp/170hp) is the same as in my car, soft/hard red zones with red start at 6k, at least here in Sweden.
@@JWMotorsport Yea am aware about the non turbo 2.4 168bhp redlining at 7K and the R like i mentioned but the 140bhp is 6K as well like all the turbo ones have seen and owed. Am sure the facelift 2.4 T5 like yours redline at 5800/ 6K rpm too but like you explained the facelift has soft/hard redline zone that the go pro quite couldn't see at night.
@@JWMotorsport Can the pre facelift 2.3 T5 2000-2003 237bhp (B5234T3) be modded like yours to make the same power or similar power ??
@@jonnnyonion Everything is possible! Since the internals is different between the engines you have to swap that also to be on the "safe side".
Damn 175mph!!! She’s fast!!

Are future Saab 95 videos planned?
Hi,
No 9-5 videos, but I have another Saab refinement video coming up soon :)
Grymt jobbat!
Tänkte E85 konventera i samma veva.
Very nice!! I love the sound of that I5!!!!
The Factory engine on this car is not forged.and your power estimates seem very high,.
what do you mean its not forged? Do you even know this engine? Dont compare it to the old T5's...
@@pontus5753 yes I know the engine because I have one,I also know that no t-5 engine was ever forged from factory,I think you may have been misinformed.
@@somethingmorespecific6790 how about you tell us why stock 2.4 t5's can easily handle over 450 hp on e85 then. Not every "normal" car can even get past 350.
@@streeatbeat Can the 2000- 2004 preface life 2.3 T5 engine make that power like the 2.4 T5 ??
