  • Disney Legend Richard Sherman joined Disney luminaries to celebrate Walt's lasting legacy 50 years after his passing. The songwriter played "Feed the Birds," one of Walt's favorite songs, and "The Whimsy Works," an original composition Richard wrote about Walt and working on the Studio Lot. I just found out Richard Sherman was married to a distant cousin of mine, that means his daughter is also distantly my cousin. It’s strange I never found this out before.

Walt Disney deserves to have an annual Celebration of the Creator of Dreams in all Disneyparks around the world. A little celebration of the man who gave to us a vision of dreams, future, and magic and this happens on the date when he died so that his death will also be remembered and the dreams that he made possible will continue to grow. Bob Iger should come up to this.

That´s so special. Always soothes my soul to watch Richard Sherman playing this song. It´s about nurturing the childrens spirits. It resumes the most important Disney legacy.

It wouldn’t be a stretch to say that Richard Morton and Robert Sherman (RIP) were the Howard Ashman (RIP) and Alan Menken of their day.
