I just found out Richard Sherman was married to a distant cousin of mine, that means his daughter is also distantly my cousin. It’s strange I never found this out before.
Talk about legends being in one room together
Thank you for capturing this. Thank you Richard Sherman for writing the music of my youth. And of course: thank you Walt Disney
PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEASE put the Whimsy Works song on iTunes! It's an epic win of a tribute for Walt! :D
I can't believe it has been 50 years since Walt Disney's death. :'(
ikr
Walt Disney deserves to have an annual Celebration of the Creator of Dreams in all Disneyparks around the world. A little celebration of the man who gave to us a vision of dreams, future, and magic and this happens on the date when he died so that his death will also be remembered and the dreams that he made possible will continue to grow. Bob Iger should come up to this.
Gone far too soon !
Its been 57 now :(
How touching!! Richard and Robert were so close to Walt and you can tell they both loved him very much.
yeah
That´s so special. Always soothes my soul to watch Richard Sherman playing this song. It´s about nurturing the childrens spirits. It resumes the most important Disney legacy.
Feed The Birds is one of my favorite Disney songs. What a beautiful melody & message.
Made me cry like a baby. Love this so much.
I can't believe I never heard of him ! I've been too obsessed with Alan Menken all my life to appreciate these lovely and equally important brothers !
wow
Richard and his brother Robert set the course for Alan Menken
Yes!
It wouldn’t be a stretch to say that Richard Morton and Robert Sherman (RIP) were the Howard Ashman (RIP) and Alan Menken of their day.
There's Dick Van Dyke and Karen Doctrice (Jane from "Mary Poppins"), Leonard Maltin, and John Lasseter!
And Bob Iger! And I think Tony Baxter was supposed to be there, too. :D
supposed to
Isn't the head of Marvel Comics supposed to be there as well?
This is so beautiful, i have never cried so much. Thank you Walt and all the Disney team for making all these memories and dreams happen
yep
Happy 100 🥲
i've got goosebumps when i hear this song, even more this version!
I'm crying
